Speaking of the Hloiday weekend. I have a funny story to tell you guys.

After one or two glasses of wine and a little Mother Nature CIndy goes to me " Oh, I have something to show you" and she leads to the kitchen where on the window ledge above the sink is a little stone the size of a pea. The stone had a quartz type look to it. I said " Well where'd you get that from? " and Cindy replied " A friend " and I Said " Oh a friend " and Cindy states "Yes, as you know I always leave bread and nuts out for the squirrels and that stone wasn't there before". So I look at her and I said " Are you saying the squirrel left you a gift?" and Cindy said " Well, yes" and we both fell to the floor laughing our asses off. I never laughed so hard in my life. That's my Cindy. If you can read between the lines there's a lot of love here and I'm fortunate to live this every day. God Bless......I'm still laughing......

A big hello from Austria! In case of the "Piberstein" Gig, Maria Lankowitz: Great sound, great power and fun... a blue dream for the (rare) audience.

And the audience was the problem! I think the whole event was a financial desaster - because of some mistakes, like useful promotion and stuff. Weak organization - confirmed toooo late... at least a great event for the few listening people in front of the (big) stage.

I just want to say: Thanks Joe for playing this gig with such enthusiasm and power;-)) A shame for Austria... although a nice place for music. Saaaad.

cuthbert1776 - I hear you on the name of my child.....Everybody's saying that now about Kimber. It's funny I didn't know it was a gun company until after the fact.

Although I did no that Clint Eastwood has a daughter named Kimber so maybe that's why he did it.....If it's good enough for the man with no name, it;s good enough for me ;)

HI YOW ALL.

I've been working on a project for a while now and I now can reveal to all what it's about.

I'm putting together a TV series about The History of Guitar. I didn't want to say to much until I started getting responses from people I wanted to be involved.

I've spoke to Fender, Gibson and Marshall and they have all gave me a very positive reponse. They have all initailly agreed to be included and in the event of the project being financed will contact artistes who endorse their product so they can be interviewed in the series.

The series is not just all modern players it's going to cover the origins of the acoustic from Babylonia to the Moors invading Europe and the Italians and Spanish influence of the instrument. Then it will go into Orville Gibsons 1904 patent and look at the first electrics. The first electric was a hawaiin guitar in 1933. Rickenbacker made an eletric banjo and Gibson made the first mass produced instrument in 1935. Then the series will go in to thr rock n roll era right up to today featuing testinmony from Joe and Steve amongst others.

If any of you guys work in TV production companies who could finance this get in touch with me via my email. If any of you guys feel you could make contributions towards the content again please feel free to contact me. I would be interested to hear any suggestions you may have.

Its all early days with this at the moment as I have been working on this for 6 months. I spoke to Isis who made the 'Classic Albums' series and a collegue there told me it took them ten years to get ITV interested in the series. So I am preparing myself for a long slog. A couple of people in TV have said this idea has come up before but it will be hard to sell oin the UK as there is hardly any music on UK terrestrial TV.

I haven't got a lot of spare time at the moment so I have only ghad time to make some breif posts on this site. I haven't been ignoring folk if you've been posting me. I will get round to em eventually. If any one wants to talk to me send me an email and you'll get a response as I check my emails every day. Just thought I'd drop a line so Satriella don't send out a search party !!!

Have to love ya and leave ya now.........

stay lucky folks

Hi,

I have a question about the gear used on the first G3-DVD. I really like the tone there... I can't see the amp on stage... I think I see the Boss DS-1, and there are two Marshall 4x12 cabs. Is it the Marshall 6100 head, that is listed in the gear at guitargeek.com? I guess it's a Marshall anyway. I have a 6101 myself, and it sounds very similar, also very 'glassy' (I use a treble booster over the lead channel). Also, does the sound come from the DS-1 over the clean channel, or some other channel?

Thanks

Blue Moon:Good on y sham, apart from said pedals etc eq is the key or rather a knowledge of using it as y know, its way 2 much underestimated, just found my tone again thats to the eq tweaks, this time i,m writing down what i did t get it.Enjoy the night out bro, great t have y back

Cuth/Kenico:Helps t hear other great minds/musicians say it though eh.I,ve often pondered about the true potential of sound & pondered a lot more of the beauty i see around me.I consider myself a student of more zeros point 1 than i can imagine in what made all this. But i guess what makes it so cool is i can travel without fear, sit with any musician from any culture & share.

music is best? maybe there is another form, but for me this life i,m sure its as close to god or what i feel is than i will ever be & its in reverence to such i give my life to bring a smile....lets face it...a smile or a happy tear is as good as it gets for anyone no?

HEY EVERYBODY

I found a great JOE INTERVIEW on net. He talks about everything. His planned tour for next 15 month, the web community here, his fans, this site. I am sure you all will love reading it.

There was a mention of G3 IN EUROPE this time next year. Now I am sure its going to be in U.K. for the reasons i mentioned in my previous posts.

Read for yourself click here
