SLANSH You do remember my past buddy. I have no room to talk, just give advise from experience. Its good things turned out alright with you and Zen.

SUZIE Nice quote from BL. I believe all that he said was true at his age. I dont know how old you are, but things change as you age of course. I think BL would have modified his quote if he would have had the chance to age. Now the mind tells the body to move and it doesnt respond, or is that just me? Thanks.

OVATION 1 I have a question for you now that peace has been made. Can you tell me where the American Indian originated? Not any specific tribe or your ancestors, just the American Indian in general? Thanks man.

GUITARMEISTER UFC SUCKED! The worst fights I have ever witnessed, bar none. Shamrock instructed us in how to defend a full on elbow attack with his face and the heavyweights have lost all respect. Will never pay to see UFC again. Just the freeview. Laters...............G

Joe, great album & tour - the best I've heard/seen in the 20+ years as a fan....My bro and I religiously come and see you at Massey Hall in Toronto each tour....

A shout out to Jeff - you have inspired me to learn drums, and I am at it 2 years now. I've made my own Satch drumming CD - it makes playing & learing so much fun!

You know how once in a while someone will ask: "What would you want to do if you won the lottery?" My answer is simple - have Jeff let me sit in and play one song - FIABD. Have fun in Europe, Kurt

slanshroom: lol bro on biting the bullet, but man, it would be nice if my country could take care of itself first and foremost before it tries to solve everyone elses problems, lol, we can only dream....

Zenman: Does a player of this level, playing in a world cup, and paid more than several lifes in one year, does he get the right to crack at this so important moment?.... Very good point man, my thoughts exactly, and what a terrible way to go out, walking past the trophy and to the locker room must of been the hardest walk of his life.... Didnt know he had that in him....

GROWLER: lol bro, I never had a beef with ya, lol, but as far as the Indians, it would take me 30,000 years to explain, lol, but this nice little site explains their history....

Well Congrats to /\//\T'/ and our Italian buddies on the board, a very well deserved victory!!.... I am happy for them and my roots! :-) What a classy team, I was impressed with the players and coaching staff from day 1.... Party time baby, party time!!....

Civgeek- also Tim- thanks for the adds:)

Growler- I originally thought Bruce Lee had written the poem, but then I found one version of it which said "Anonymous" at the end, and then on here which says it was by Harry and Joan Meier... but yes I agree the quote needs modifying anyway as you get older! I love Bruce Lee's films, I find them very inspiring.

I have had this e-mailed before, but if you haven't seen it it may cheer up your Monday morning:)

20 WAYS TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY LEVEL OF INSANITY

1. At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses on and point a hair dryer at passing cars. See if they slow down.

2. Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice.

3. Every time someone asks you to do something, ask if they want fries with that.

4. Put your garbage can on your desk and label it "IN".

5. Put decaf in the coffee maker for 3 weeks. Once everyone has gotten over their caffeine addictions, switch to espresso.

6. In the memo field of all your checks, write "for smuggling diamonds".

7. Finish all your sentences with "in accordance with the prophecy".

8. dont use any punctuation

9. As often as possible, skip rather than walk.

10 Order a Diet Water whenever you go out to eat - with a serious face

11. Specify that your drive-through order is "to go".

12. Sing along at the opera.

13. Put mosquito netting around your work area and play tropical sounds all day at work.

14. Go to a poetry recital and ask why the poems don't rhyme.

15. Five days in advance, tell your friends you can't attend their party because you're not in the mood.

16. Have your coworkers address you by your wrestling name, Rock Bottom.

17. When the money comes out the ATM, scream "I won! I won!"

18. When leaving the zoo, start running towards the parking lot yelling, "Run for your lives, they're loose!!"

19. Tell your children over dinner! "due to the economy, we are going to have to let one of you go"

20. And the final way to keep a healthy level of insanity . . e-mail this to someone to make them smile and laugh. It's called therapy.

Also, on Saturday I gained a sister-in-law!!!! It was good to see my brother looking so happy; I ate far too much food and drank far too much wine, but he's only gonna get married once, right?

Clarky - Sounds good man!!! So how much are you charging for that little business of yours then?

Mike: i tell you, we weren't so glad about how they played yesterday, but in the end they won and that's enough :-) Not so great team as the one that won in Spain in 1982, or maybe it's cos i was younger and things of the past always seem better :-/

GROWLER The PPV was on last night?! Missed it, I knew Shamrock would lose again. After his 1st fight, especially leaving the octagon with his face swelling almost twice it's original size, he would have tried to work harder in... pretty much every area he could. I was actually watching Pride FC last night (re-runs). Man, 5 minute rounds and even 10 minute rounds for heavyweights. That's brutal itself.

Thanks Blue_Moon for the info.

Anyways, do you have any idea how Joe produced the sorta...how do I put this... when he does chords and solos, the sound is smooth and not just high on the 'gain', meaning not just dirty and distorted but real smooth. See, each time we yank up the gain, it goes rather distorted...more like barbed wire...Joe's sound maintains the smoothness and fluidity of the clean...and he gets the gain of the crunch or ultra channel.

At the same time, its full of bass...as though he used a subwoofer through his amplifiers. I can't get it with my Marshall. ***Try listening to "The Extremist" G3 2003 & 2004 tours.. compare with that in his previous Marshall Amp equipped tours...or even the album...you'll know what I'm saying.

Yanking up the gain on the DS-1 connected to my Marshall AVT100 didn't exactly do the job the way I hoped. Or is it my settings?? Or some characteristic of the JSX?? At least the sample sound of the XXX on peavey.com wasn't at all like Joe's sound on G3 tour.

Oh well... A lot of gain was pruduced...but when I try to smoothen it up, maybe by lowering the tone, the 'power' and solidity of the sound compromises a little. How does Joe do it?

In fact, that'll be my motto : "How does Joe do it???"

Thanks

Good Morning Satchland...... How Is Everyone?

How about a little comedy to start the week off with some fun. You gotta have fun or you'll dry up and blow away.

This chuckle is on me:

A little guy is sitting at the bar just staring at his drink for half an hour when this big trouble-making truck driver steps next to him, grabs his drink and gulps it down in one swig. The poor little guy starts crying. "Come on man, I was just giving you a hard time." says the truck driver."I'll buy you another drink. I just can't stand to see a man crying.""This is the worst day of my life." says the little guy between sobs. "I can't do anything right. I overslept and was late to a important meeting, so my boss fired me. When I went to the parking lot, I found my car was stolen and I have no insurance. I grabbed a cab home but, after the cab left, I discovered my wallet was still in the cab. At home I found my wife in bed with the neighbor. So I came to this bar trying to work up the courage to put an end to my life. And then you show up and drink the poison."

Satriella..... How are you? Don't understand the " I Blue" comment in your post to me. Hugs to ya.

Growler.... What up? Those were all great questions....lol..... Joe loves snowboarding...this we know cuz he's mentioned this in his post's here. If you like Drag Racing as I do. John Force " Mr. Funny Car" has a reality show coming out involving his family. One of his duaghters is driving a Funny Car. Force is the winningest( Is that a word) Drag Racer in the history of the sport. The show is on ESPN Sports here in the states and I don't know days or the time it's on or if it will air in England but I'm going to check it out. But it is a reality show if you know what I mean. Take Care.

Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! !

I won't be here on the 15th, but happy early birthday, Satch!

I'm having a bit of a problem with my band. I'm 15 and I really have fun with the guys, but my drummer doesn't want to go pro with what we have going. He wants to focus on his "plans" for after high school instead of what he's doing now. My bassist and I are considering moving on because this is going nowhere and music is all we have. Should we just move onto another band or do you think we should stay?

I still remember the first time I heard Joe Satriani’s music…I was driving and listening to the radio when ALWAYS WITH ME ALWAYS WITH YOU started playing…It was the music I had been waiting for…it’s like it unlocked something in my mind or soul…It forever changed me… when the song finished playing the DJ never said who played that piece…from then on it was my mission to find out who played that song…what a feeling to finally find out that Joe Satriani was the force behind that song…

twenty years later…it was and still is a beautiful piece…like sooo many others…

I have done the following:

"17. When the money comes out the ATM, scream "I won! I won!"

18. When leaving the zoo, start running towards the parking lot yelling, "Run for your lives, they're loose!!"

11. Specify that your drive-through order is "to go".

10 Order a Diet Water whenever you go out to eat - with a serious face

It's all good fun though.

Master Yoda B.A

Congratulations, but now you have to collect all the other letters of the alphabet!...or atleast S.T.U.R.D to put on the end because that would breed hilarity.
