Another bit of time has happened by since my last chat again. A few pages to catch up on.
OVATION 1 A big thanks bro for the link! Just curious. History haunts me for some reason.
SLANSH Thanks for the words of wisdom buddy. Glad to see all is well with you. My wife and I cant get enough of that Ali G link!
SUZIE Your my kind of woman girl. Loves Bruce Lee movies, and quotes him as well? I think I married the wrong woman!
GUITARMEISTER Good thing you missed the UFC man. I've been watching Pride too. Poor Shamrock is looking for a positive way to bow out and he just keeps getting pounded both in UFC and PRIDE. How do you like Bob Sapp? Think that dude could take care of Silvia?
CUTHBERT Thanks for the congrats buddy. Yeah, I think that the time and energy put into research and study kicked my butt! Congrats to your wife. She must really have a great sense of accomplishment, however the kids are far more important than anything. The Ph.D is in physical therapy and like your wife, I'm not practicing anymore. Maybe I should be?
KEN Yeah, I thought Joe was into snowboarding or surfing. Living in San Fran you get the best of both worlds. Thought he might surf as he has the surfer on the back of his guitar. Coooool! Love the drags bro! Funny cars are outrageous! The shake! We used to have a dragstrip out here but it had to close down after 20 years. You could race for 2 bucks! Anything you wanted. From mopeds to dragsters. I just looked inside of a AA fuel alt and got the chills. Those things are mean, nasty critters. Love it though!
WATERPROOF SOAP Welcome home bro! Your bass is waiting.
BAHDUH Get down! Now thats what I call venting! You have my sympathy man. Over here in Hawaii we have the North Korean missle testing going on. Today I heard on the news that they are stagging-up another onslaught. The problem is is that even with our technology we have a difficult time with I.D. of an actual warhead. We just sent over a new ship to Japan that is supposed to be capable of intercepting these warheads. They contain nuclear and biological concentrations. Our military believes that Japan is able to handle the situation without US involvement. If not, you can look at us most likely pulling out of the mid east. At least I hope so for Hawaii's sake as the range of these missles can reach into Nevada! Then you have to worry about fallout. Global? My wife and I are actually going to get our trust and papers in order tomorrow. I'm serious bro. Live each day the best you can.
ZEN PEACE to you. Much Aloha G

GROWLER..........i feel yu bro.....maybe if only the peple of this world would care lesser about power and dominance,we would have a better place to live in....fact is despite having everything we still feel that we lack something and that is PEACE!!!!! period........greed and fear is causing all this......however i feel that just as it had been said in the bible that when the day of judgement or second coming draws nearer,,nations will be fighting nations, clans will be fighting clans, tribes fight tribes.......these signs are very prominent and so we should be prepared.........the day of judgement is not far away!!!!!!!! let us be prepared and hope to be with the creator then and not in hell...let us not be associated with anything that the greedy powerful arrogant son of a bicthes of this world are inclined on doing and i.e. cause all the pain and destruction........why do we need nuclear power and nuclear bombs?????????why do we need violence??????this is a selfish world where the poor are being oppressed and suppressed......i wonder why do nations spend so much in revitalising their defences when they could spend that money in feeding the poor of their nation or wipe out diseases and hunger and poverty from this world......WHY????? anyway stay safe and god bless...i feel yu bro....peace.

First of all happy birthday to you on the 15 July. Even though you´re still on tour I hope someone does something to make this day extra special for you.
I want to thank you so much for a GREAT concert in Copenhagen on the 27 June. It was the first time ever for me to see you live and what made it even more special is that I had the priviledge and honour of meeting you in person afterwards. I wanted to tell you so many things but ended up with saying the things you´ve probably heard a million times before. I know those things may sound corny but it came straight from my heart. I DO listen to your music every day (Especially Crystal Planet, Super Colossal and The Extremist, but I love each and everyone of your CDs).If someone asks me what it is I like about your music - well first of all it´s the sound of course. But also because of all the thoughts that lie behind each and every song you make. Your music has such depth and I love that.
I can´t brag about knowing so much about the guitar techniques you use but I can surely say this : I´m a big fan fast on my way to become a huge one. I will always be there everytime you´re in Denmark. Please come back again soon and thank you SO much for making the 27 June extra special for me. I will treasure it always no matter how many of your concerts I´ll attend. You´re such a sweet and nice down-to earth guy and I´m glad I met you in person, hopefully not for the last time. Come back again soon :-)

Hy there again!
I was reading some previews of shows in other countries and have noticed that many people had problems with taking pictures - security.
''If you want to submit photos you've taken at a show, simply email them to webmaster@satriani.com and make sure that you include your name, your nickname on the site (if you have one) and the date and location of the show.'' - this is written under all of the photo-galleries and I don't realise why is taking photos forbiden on the shows!? I really hope that this won't happen in Croatia 'cause I really, really, REALLY want to take some pictures - who knows when I will be able to see Joe again live!

Prayers to India.
Sorry, but I must say this, so children cover yer eyes ~ all terrorists are pussies! They are afraid to fight in man to man combat, so they sneak around like snakes and hurt and kill innocent people. One thing I know for sure is that they will all rot in the firey pit of hell, where what they have done to others will come back on them.
From Dream Theater's In The Name Of God~

Straight is the path
Leading to your salvation
Slaying the weak

Any day we'll all be
Swept away
You'll be saved

Dear Joe
Just a quick question, What do you do with all your fan mail you receive on tour, I am sure you get handed loads of letters and Demo’s while meeting fan’s. Do you save them for when you get home or do you read them on tour as you go along?.
Hope you are enjoying the rest of the tour.
If you could say……Where has had the best Crowd Chant so far?……
Stay Safe,

Clarky: That's cool, sounds like a lot of fun! I really like passing on musical knowledge. It's great when you see the light bulb come on in some one's head when you can convey a concept to them. I always think it's funny when so many guitarists are afraid to divulge knowledge about playing the instrument because they are afraid that person will take the info and beat them at their own game.....I 've always thought that was silly haah!

Greetings from the Great White North. Home turf, as it were. I remember your gigs at the Coronet (had one there myself a few years later) and I've been following your work ever since.
Congrats on this new album. Simply amazing. Track 7 is indescribable. I've never heard anything like it, even from you. Music for the 21st Century. So how come no genesis? All the other tracks have one...
I've been playing keyboards most of my life and after thirty years of bells and whistles in the electro-arena, I'm back to 88 hammers. And something marvelous has happenned. I'm coming up with stuff where sometimes I have to stop, thinking 'did I do that?' I've somehow come full circle and been musically reborn, and I have you to thank.
My influnces have been vast but in my new spectrum it comes down to two. There's Dr. Oscar P. who pretty much sets the bar for what I do, and who taught me that any combination of notes can made into music. And there's you, who like some modern-day Paganini taught me that I can maybe stretch the limits of my instrument like you do yours. Together you've given me a kind of fearlessness I didn't expect. Prestigious company for you too, eh? Thx again.
Just a little anecdote to wrap up. My friend Manuel (bass player) went to see you at Massey Hall a month ago. Just before the show, he gets a tap on the shoulder from Graham Greene (they've been tight since Greene was a roadie in
the seventies). A little banter and Graham gets a tap on the shoulder from Kim Mitchell. Some more banter and Kim gets a tap from Alex Lifeson. I have to wonder who else was there, and I just think it's nice to know that the best guitarists in Toronto still feel they have something to learn.
I have three heroes - Oscar, my dad, and Frank Lloyd Wright, whose best work came after he turned fifty. I sense terrific prospects for you. And maybe me too. Let's rock the house, my friend.

Heya everyone and Joe, if you read this...
Can anybody tell me which pedal it is Joe uses in "Searching" to loop his pick-scratching, and then can alter the speed of it's playback etc for that amazing effect? I'd very much appreciate if anyone can tell me the answer. Thanks a lot! :D

GROWLER:Humor is what kept the scots together, we learnt it from the Irish "thx " because life back then was unbearable. We use it today, not to hide the past, but to get through that which still haunts the subconscious of soul pain.Lest said about that here the better, lol
I was brought up playing/singing Scottish folk songs from 5years old i never took guitar serious till around 10...for the most part during those early years, the songs were/are depressing scenarios of how we were treated by the English, but i found it amusing as a child when my grandma would enter & the whole house changed to God save the Queen. My dad couldnt look me straight in the eye, my mother quiet.. as it was her mother. So i,m piggy in the middle feeling whats the story untold, lol. There is only room left for humor...trust me in such a situation as a child.Billy Connolly was our only man
so...onto another blindin piece soft t start but shows the human of Billy Connolly & i,m proud t post this it has t be said
the uncomedy side of the man
heres the other side Bill Connelly
