Hey Cuth

Acouple of years back when Tampa hosted the Super Bowl the city passed an ordinance that was similar to the Las Vegas Bullsh*t.........The issued a citation to a group of Christians who were setting up picnic tables every sunday to serve a b-b-que to the homeless.......

I guess nobody heard David Gilmore sing "On The Turning Away"
nor did they consider it for the half-time show...
i think yer right
sports was the distraction in gladitorial Rome
It worked very well as a smoke screen for the Third Reich
And in Las Vegas....we certainly wouldn't want to see someone spending money in a way that benefits anything other than a persons insatiable desire to satisfy their selfish desire.......

As for Tampa Bay....TECO continues to jetison roughly 40,000 metric TONS of polutants into the air we breath every day..........

Sorry....i have smoked a cigar in a restaurant......i guess people had a choice to remain or leave..........however.....we don't have that option with regard to our planet.....

try www.davidgilmore.com and select the link called "important stuff"

some interesting and disturbing views and facts are present there................

Peace..........................................John

Joe you have done it again, just a very uplifting show. Hope when you come home you just might stop in Phoenix before going home. I missed you, I was working in Alaska and couldn't get to Phoenix when you passed through. So my wife and I are in Page, waiting when you arrive in Phoenix. Thanks for the tour you give to us. SATRIELLA Trying to fire me up love? Now that would be a poor witness wouldnt it? I failed that test before. Again and again. Hey, another good source of material while we are on the subject is cri.org Hank Hannegraff. I always spell his name wrong.

Lets see, we had two new versions of BLACK BETTY. Loved them both. One funky TJ and one metal. Of course the original Ram Jam version is cool. Now there is a version for every mood. Great Song! Tom Jones had natural hair like that dude dancing with the piece at one time. HA!

BAHDUH Right On right back at ya bro! Hope all is well with you. Have a GREAT weekend!

CUTH Your link to the homeless situation in Vegas is almost unbelievable! This is a tragedy! This is..............I'm pissed! If its one thing we must do it is to feed the hungry. I support the efforts of any government supplying food to other nations when needed and in times of catastrophy, but we must not turn our backs on the homeless. We have, as most states do, a homeless problem in Hawaii. Most stay at the park in tents or at the beach. We are fortunate to have good climate. We have shelters and outreaches which are encouraged, but some insist on moving them from place to place. Now, these are not typical homeless people. Most call themselves houseless as they have jobs and income, but cannot afford the high cost of rent in Hawaii which is outrageous. No low income housing available. All upscale. What are they to do? No rent control either. God bless that woman who feeds the homeless in Vegas no matter what the cost.

You know CUTH there are so many things that need our attention, its hard to keep up! Thanks for the links bro.

DO THE STU It sounds like you have a favorite bass buddy. Like the Fender as thats what I have, Jazz. Also have a Tobias Growler, thus my nick name. I favor the Fender because of the feel and outright power.

We are much the same in all other aspects as far as musical tastes and playing. I did play in church for awhile and I play in a band during the summer months as two of the four guys are teachers and cannot devote time to practice while in session. We basically play Hendrix, Joe, Leslie West, Robin Trower, ZZ Top, Buddy Guy, Clapton, etc. The blues/rock thing. The semester starts soon, so I am meeting with a new drummer and we are going to team up with a couple flying in from Maui next weekend. She will be the vocalist and he plays lead, so it should be cool if the drummer and I can tighten things up. I'm excited to meet them. New people! It might give me a chance to go to Maui once in awhile.

Hey, we actually have a good concert booked here. U2 and Pearl Jam. U2, one of your listed favorites. I hope I can go. Good combo. You have EVERYBODY going thru L.A. I remember my first concert was Led Zep at the Forum. That I will never forget. Thanks for sharing about yourself bro. Now we have at least 3 bassists on the site. WS the other and he is a great guy. You can write song lyrics off of his posts. Hes gifted. Well, I have posted enough. Hang Loose and have a great weekend. G.............

Growler - No honey not trying to fire you up as you put it, I was in fact very pleased that you didn't, as I said It was just a joking remark, you've been a real sweety lately and I am glad about that.....though I would like to see a picture of you coz...the way you were and your name...gives me a very scowly bear like face in my head now and I am sure that is completely wrong...so how about it?.....Might even draw it too!

Harvestfields - welcome to the board...interesting name...what's the story behind that?

Phyrdom - Awww yes I can see why they wouldn't like crates any more, a lot of dogs don't like kennels coz they are very loyal and don't like being away from the ones they love and that is what kennels are to them.... a place where they can't be with their loved ones!

Michelle - Oh thanks for that, Oh Yeah the spiderbait video is much better....I hope that was a toy drumkit being smashed at the end....gulp otherwise that's a lot o money gone...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtqjmuUaYXA&search=black%20betty

wow...you know I have the original ram jam version on a vynal single record...I have had it since I was a kid...it has alwasy been in my top ten favourite tunes but I never knew what they looked like till today....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMLnDuzgkjo&search=ram%20jam

Boy I never expected that...Billy Connolly on lead vocals...Brian May on Drums and and the builder from the Village People on the other guitar.....i never guessed in a million years!!!!....hehe...only joking!

ICEMAN II - Oh I do love your lil poetic posts!

Do The Stu - Since you bin gone....oh....I feel a song coming on....have to.... Since you bin gone, Since you bin gone I'm out of my head can't take it.....no no...that's another ol favourite.....wow this is the first time I've seen them too!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLuyg_Jm0wc&search=rainbow%2C%20since%20you%20been%20gone

since you bin gone I've been a busy girl...in fact I don't think I had even started on my new lot...wow you were gone a long time weren't you...where did you go?....anyway thank you very much for the compliment...yep I love drawing Joe...my aim is to draw 12 by the end of the year so I can order a Joe calender...trouble is I have such a queue of people to do now that might not happen...still I could alwasy include the other band members....grrrr just wish I had a decent pic of Galen then they would be complete!

Oh well time to sign off this nostalgia trip...no..no how can you hve a nostalgia trip without this!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK-CCTlZ6z4&search=stairway%20to%20heaven

OK now my spirit is crying for leaving....

there walks a lady we all know....Satriella xx

and she's buying a stairway to heaven!!!

Oh...couldn't find a decent one of Freebird...that's a classic too! this will have to do...unless you can find a proper one!

Hey Joe! I was at the Barcelona Razmatazz show. Really great! Had a wonderful time with my brother there. We went to see Steve Vai (with Eric Sardinas) a couple of months back at the same venue. My brother preferred Vai (which was great as well) but I enjoyed yesterday's show even more. I hope you had a good time in Barcelona as well! A G'3 (G'4?) with Vai, Gilbert and/or Malmsteen again would definitely attract me back to Razmatazz next year again! Let's do!!

D/\\/E: Hell yeah bro, I say bring back the 80's, lol, those were some great times!!
:-) And thanks for that AT vid bro, talk about DLR reincarnated, wow, but that Ed has not got the real Ed rhythm, lol.... And on that mp3.... Eddie' sound is the best there ever will be....

cuth: Thanks for that nice mix of Nuno and Eddie.... What a transition there, lol, what monsters of rock they were.... And still are till this day, lol!!....

Ibanezplyr: Damn straight bro, we T2J'ers stick together, and I'll let you know when I get the cd.... Thanks again bro, and I can definately see your hard work is paying off!!....

Zenman: lol bro, I hear your point, and I guess what I mean is that Vito is the closest thing we have seen since Eddie himself.... He gets the closest feel, but with more of a melodic sense.... And btw, as you know, the swinghard would be non-existent w/o brother Alex and bassman Michael, lol, they were the driving force that gave Ed the palate to create.... And what a creation it was.... We will never see the likes of a \//-/ explosion in music again IMO....

Sandy, you gotta be kidding me!!! THAT is Ram Jam?!? LOL!! I've never seen what the band looks like either, and I've been a fan of the song since '78 I think!! That's toooo funny! I searched for the original on youtube, but I guess I gave up to quick. However, I did find that lovely Tom Jones version in my quest. lmao!! I have to watch it again. lol!

The storm last night took down my internet, but it's good to go now :)

JOE- Good to see you posting!!! :)

GLAD- No problems:)

DO THE STU- I think the setlist was pretty similar to the US shows, obviously a lot of tracks from the new album plus some classics. I wished I had noted down the order of the tracks, I had thought about doing that! I was particularly thrilled to hear Circles, one of my favourites:) I don't have a MySpace, but my husband does: http://www.myspace.com/matthewsear75 - for some reason we can't add people on this computer, but we can access it elsewhere:)

GROWLER- Hello, was wondering what you think about Quentin Tarantino films? I am quite a fan of his work, although I realise the man himself is on the odd side...

DELFINO PIE- Ouch, that panda-effect is embarrassing... hope your friend's "tan" or "burn" wears off soon :)

SATRIELLA- Good news about your daughter! Also the trip to Poland sounds cool! My last day was ok, got a biut choked up, but I know the move is for the best. Looking forward to it!

WATERPROOF SOAP- I am good thanks, have a leaving party tonight (me leaving my job that is!) So looking forward to that...

CIVGEEK- Haven't been in the chat for a while, sorry to miss you! Holmes...

ZENFISH- Just wondered if you knew "Crazyman Michael" by Fairport Convention as the lyrics of that song talk about someone conversing with a raven... :

"Within the fire and out upon the sea
Crazy Man Michael was walking
He met with a raven with eyes black as coals
And shortly they were a-talking

"Your future, your future, I would tell to you
Your future, you often have asked me
Your true love will die by your own right hand
And Crazy Man Michael will cursed be"

Michael he ranted and Michael he raved
And beat at the four winds with his fists-oh
He laughed and he cried, he shouted and he swore
For his mad mind had trapped him with a kiss-oh

"You speak with an evil, you speak with a hate
You speak for the devil that haunts me
For is she not the fairest in all the broad land?
Your sorcerer's words are to taunt me"

He took out his dagger of fire and of steel
And struck down the raven through the heart-oh
The bird fluttered long and the sky it did spin
And the cold earth did wonder and start-oh

"Oh, where is the raven that I struck down there
That here'd lie on the ground-oh?
I see but my true love with a wound so rare"
Her lover's heart it did pound-oh

Crazy Man Michael, he wanders and walks
And talks to the night and the day-oh
But his eyes they are sane and his speech it is plain
And he longs to be far away-oh

Michael he whistles the simplest of tunes
And asks the wild woods their pardon
For his true love is flown into every flower grown
And he must be keeper of the garden."

Perhaps replace "Michael" with "Zenfish", could be good LOL :)
