Who else here has a MySpace page? I have a few of you T2Jers already on my friends list there...who am I missing? Come on, even Joe has a page now. ;-)

bahduh - Life really gets busy sometimes, and I just don't find much time to post here. It's hard to explain. Believe me, though, I miss this place probably more than all you guys miss me. ;-)

GROWLER - Yeah, the smog is pretty rough. I live in Long Beach just a few thousand feet from the ocean, so I always get a nice breeze to keep the air fairly fresh.

Los Angeles smog is horrible too. But every once in a while I'll be driving into the city on a windy day...downtown looks so beautiful when the wind blows all of that smog out of the way.

Ethn Hayabusa - There's some great stuff on 5150...the title track is one of my favorite Van Halen songs.

I like the Hagar version of the band more than the Roth version, but I listened to II and Women And Children First the other day for the first time in a long while...I forgot how good some of that stuff is.

Van Halen has been around for 30 years or so...I wish they had more music to show for it. Rush has been around for roughly the same amount of time, and it seems like they've put out twice as much music...

...Austin...

I felt quite sorry for my one friend...he was only really in the sun one day because the rest of the time we were in bars, but he went the beach white and came back bright red with white patches where he was wearing sunglasses. He looked like some kind of raccoon lol.

Yeah I've got myspace....http://www.myspace.com/delfinopie

I added Joe as a friend aaaaaaaages ago but whoever is incharge of his myspace hasn't accepted yet lol. Ah well, I'm sure they'll get round to it.

Hi Everybody!

Joe, I just got back from Harvard University....Had an amazing opportunity to be part of a summer institute....the focus was understanding understanding....Educators from 41 countries..just exquisite!!!!!!...During one of the discussions I mentioned you....we were talking about competition....and assessment...I mentioned your name to the group and something you had said about enjoying playing with other brilliant guitarists..that you looked forward to the experience... it was positive and enjoyable...of course I am paraphrasing....And I posed the question...Wouldn't it be wonderful if in our schools competition could be edifying, thus contributing to positive growth and human connections more often? They all liked the example and agreed.. I think they will go home and "chew on that idea"....oh and happy belated birthday....wishing you a year in which more of your dreams come true....as you know with fulfulling dreams comes responsibilities...thanks for living in such a "bright" way...your example gives others the courage to live up to their potentials as well.....

Well take care all............................................illuminata

HI GUYS

Just time for a quick post to give you the latest on The History of Guitar. Having a real hard time selling cos we are dealing with conservative buisness types who would rather show repeats than make new programmes but we may have made progress.

We are talking to Paul Jackson at Granada America. He discovered the Young Ones and Red Dwarf. He's a very astute guy who know's a good thing when he see's it and he's also been known to take risks. Hopefully he's our guy.

Everything is more or less ready to roll. I've got loads of research done like the first electric instrument was a hawaiian guitar made in 1933. The earliest mass produced was the Gibson ES150 in 1935 as used by Charlie Christian. Rickenbacker had their frying pan around that time but the Gibson was the first true mass produced instrument.

At the moment I'm researching Guitar strings. Before they made em from steel they were made out of cat gut! I can just see this Del boy/ Huggy Bear charecter with a cat farm !! Now I know why my cat dissapears when I start playing !! Hence the expression sounds like a wailing cat.

Again it's hard slog getting this project off the ground but I've gotta make this happen. I'll keep you all posted on future developements.

TAKE CARE

Hrh Fish...

I saw your show in Rome on the 15th of July. Just wanted to wish you a happy 50th birthday with all the best. I know you probably won't be able to get back to me, but I just wanted you to know that your music is great. It was what made me start playting the guitar, and it's also what's keeping me at it. I caught one of your picks at your concert, that was great. But im working hard on improving. Even if I never make it to be as great as you at the guitar, at least I'll be able to tell myself that I tried.

Happy Birthday!!!!

VFRocker - Nearly finished...need yer address if I am gonna send it to you though!

Growler - why do you feel that it will be just the middle east and russia?

the word “Armageddon” has its origin in the Hebrew expression “Har–Magedon,” or “Mountain of Megiddo.” It is found at Revelation 16:16, which states: “They gathered them together to the place that is called in Hebrew Har–Magedon.” Who are assembled to Armageddon, and why? Just two verses earlier, at Revelation 16:14, we read: “The kings of the entire inhabited earth” are gathered together “to the war of the great day of God the Almighty.”Does the reference to the “Mountain of Megiddo” mean that Armageddon will be fought at a certain mountain in the Middle East? No. For one thing, no such mountain really exists—at the site of ancient Megiddo, there is only a mound rising about 70 feet [20 m] above the adjacent valley plain. In addition, the area around Megiddo could not begin to hold all “the kings of the earth and their armies.” (Revelation 19:19) However, Megiddo was the site of some of the fiercest and most decisive battles in Middle Eastern history. Thus, the name Armageddon stands as a symbol of a decisive conflict, with only one clear victorArmageddon cannot be just a conflict among earthly nations, since Revelation 16:14 states that “the kings of the entire inhabited earth” form a united front at “the war of the great day of God the Almighty.” In his inspired prophecy, Jeremiah stated that “those slain by God” will be scattered “from one end of the earth clear to the other end of the earth.” (Jeremiah 25:33) Thus, Armageddon is not a human war confined to a particular location in the Middle East. It is Gods war, and it is global.Only God is capable of waging a truly just and truly selective war during which righthearted individuals, wherever they may be on earth, will be preserved. (Matthew 24:40, 41; Revelation 7:9, 10, 13, 14) And only he has the right to impose his sovereignty over all the earth, for it is his creation.—Revelation 4:11.

Hugs Satriella xx

Spent about a week praying about how to handle the issue with the Lead Singer......I'm going to be deliberate and voice my concerns in the forms of questions.....not statements.....I'm also going to write them out first...and have them with me.....there will be no twisting of words if I can prevent it......I'm feelin' really tired ,but great today....the other group i was sub-ing for played their charity gig last nite and the sound man was a true pro.....man was that great.....singing back-up in the whole beach boys genre.....i don't listen to surf music very often....but its relaxing and fun to play.....btw....during "wipe-out" we all took solo sections.....the lead guitarist said i was a show off..High praise always leaves you feeling good....hope things are progressing in the positive for you brah!!! Cuth.....I've decided every time i stub my toe or get frustrated i'm just going to utter "hezbollah!"

Hey everyone.........there really isn't any sense in arguing one side or the other in any of these world events.......Absolute power corrupts absolutely

This system is broke.......everywhere....and none of its representatives have a real concern for the welfare of their respective countrymen.....i don't see any of them fighting on the front line............ I think its time to listen to WAR PIGS!!

BTW.......an electric power plant in Tampa Bay Florida will jetison 40,000 tons of waste into the atmosphere TODAY....and we are worried about 'territorial" issues and "idealogies"
pardon my use of profanity here but there is no other way to communicate my disgust........
