GottahaveJoe:WHAT?????!!! You broke your pinky finger on your left hand!!!!!! Give that one some time before you start doing stretches girl!! Bahduh: Steven is having tough time with his house mate-former- and will find a way outa his depression some how. He's a survivor, it just takes him alittle longer to work it out that the rest of us. help is on the way, your prayers, mine, others are out there for him. Just be prepaired for Steven to wallow in this for a while till his old pal lays off him, or he figures out he's being played emotionally. I've told him that, but Steven takes things to heart. Ovation 1: Right on Bro! I know you will have great fun with "Passions of Paradice." It was our first offer for t2j2. You might even like "So'os you know." It's the one where I thought I was sounding too much like Joe! At least for me. LOL "Downtown Blues" is just like a Blondie song.

Hi all,
now that I had the time I'd like to share my impressions about the Madrid concert:
It was great! :)))) Joe's is definetely in a tremendous shape!!!
I was very close to him during the first two thirds of the concert and could enjoy every detail he was playing! The sound was very good as well and his guitar never lost definition.
The rythm guitar was perhaps too low.
The bass and drums were incredible. Great quality sound! I loved Jeff's playing, very smily, very cheerful, very contagious...
He kick-off with "Flyin'" and it still amazes me how he's able to control all those feedbacks, specially in that high C in th middle. But he played it just like the record. Awesome! The crowd reacted accordingly...
"The Extremist" followed. The guitar was too loud so you couldn't hear the harmonica solo that well :S But the solo was amazing! :))
To me, the next highlight happened with "Super Colossal", with Joe showing great pride in his new guitar! :D Who wouldn't? The sound was exactly like the record!
As always expected, "Always with me, always with you" is still with me! That's my favourite satch song and Joe didn't let me down... This time he played it with an extension ending. It sounded great! :)))
"Surfing with the alien" surprised me since I wasn't expecting so many songs from that album but when he left after this song, I knew he had to came back! :))) "Crowd Chant"?
Indeed!!! "Crowd Chant" was fantastic! The audience knew exactly what to do and I loved the full arranged version with bass and drums. When the song was ending I remember telling my girlfriend: "There's still Summer Song missing!"
And he ended exactly with one. Somehow I knew this was the last, simply because he had already played all the most significant ones. I hoped he could play "Friends" but it was over :(((
Those two hours passed by so quickly!
My only remark is that Joe probably could have let the other musicians have a little more space... I think Dave LaRue was the only one to solo during the entire show...
Lucy: Thanks for the setlist, I wouldn't remember all of them but it's nice to have it as a souvenir for a wonderful night.

Hi to everyone in Satriani land, folks call me Campbell, probably because my name is in fact Campbell, and this is my first ever post to this site, and i'm posting from sunny Scotland.(well sunny for 2 weeks of the year anyway) I caught Joe's gig in Glasgow last month, and he just totally blew me away, to use the word genius would be the understatement of the year. I think that by far and away Joe's the greatest guitarist to walk the Earth, but i'm sure i'm preaching to the converted here. Just started guitar lessons myself, 6 weeks in its going quite well, but then i watch Joe in action and realise what a long way there is to go. Anyway feel free to say hello and i'll be happy to reply to you, i dont bite.

Campbell: Welcome to the site! You will make many friends here. I myself am trying to relearn the guitar after MANY years of not playing. I am not even trying to be as good as Joe. I am just trying to learn to be a good rythmn player who can throw in the odd fill here and there.
Again, welcome to the site.

Hello Mr. Satriani,
I'm a 23 years old drummer, my name is Luca and I'm from Italy. I watched the G3 dvd's and I saw that in every gig U invite a new guitar player so I'd like to ask U: " with all the great guitar players that U invited, did U ever thought to invite also Toto's guitarist STEVE LUKATHER on a G3? " At my opinion He's an amazing musician and I'm sure that it could be a great gig with him.
Bye bye.

SATRIELLA- Thanks, I hope so anyway!! I have a good feeling about the job :)
PHRYDOM- Think Myspace is back up now, at least it loaded the page just now.
SLANSH- Thanks, we are looking forward to visiting Barcelona... not too long now! Are you off on holidays soon?
ZEN- Got your mail, Matt will reply later:)
GROWLER- lol :) Actually I think "Jackie Brown" is Tarantino's best film, although I am a huge fan of all his films, particularly loved Kill Bill Vol 2. He really has the talent to incorporate such fitting soundtracks to all his films, they always seem so perfectly suited to the moment. That is some cool information about Pam Grier! I have also always thought it a big shame about how Natural Born Killers turned out... should have used Quentin's screenplay and let him direct it! :)
BAHDUH- Thanks for the update on Steven Wilde. He is certainly in my thoughts and prayers- do you have any more info on exactly how things are with him though? Are the seizures getting worse, or is it as Randell said his depression too? Thanks for the info anyway and the e-mail :)
