If anyone has a problem with pesty flies or gnats, maybe you wanna give these guys a call?

Fly Swatters

My daughter and her friends dressed up in b.ball shorts, t-shirts, and bandanas and wore themselves out last night immitating these people they see at the clubs when they go to see bands. Pretty damn funny if you ask me! I'm just glad they didn't do it HERE :-)

Hrh Fish - Life just got very busy, LOL. If I ever disappear again you guys are more than welcome to email or IM me to tell me to get myself back here. ;-)

I'm still doing the same journalism thing, I guess the only thing different about it now is that I graduated college back in May. I'll try to dig through some photos and post a few here, if you guys would like to see them...

civgeek - If you do a MySpace search for "Austin Lewis" you'll have to sift through 100 people...but if you search for my AOL email address I come right up. Anyway, I've added you...

Who else here has this MySpace thing but is trying to keep quiet about it? ;-) We'll find you sooner or later...

Glad - If the UK packages are similar to the US packages, Jon and the Satriani crew have very little to do with the packages. You'd need to contact Fanfire, E-Tix, or whatever their equivalent is in the UK. If you can't get an answer from anyone there, maybe send an email to Jon.

Zen - Point taken.

Michelle - Chistina has a great voice. She actually got her contract off of a singing tour she did just her and a pianist. Of the two she is much more the gifted. As far as her look, I much prefer the post-Jeannie look, but then I also have a penis. I like em a little on the trashy side.

well i was raised in a sophisticated kind of style
yeah my taste in music and women drove my folks half wild.
mom and dad had plans for me
it was debutantes and symphonies
but i like my music like my women wild.

Yeah i like my woman just a tad on the trashy side
when they wear their clothes too tight and their hair is dyed
too much lip stick too much rouge
gets me excited leaves me feeling confused
i like my women just a tad on the trashy side

should,ve seen the look on the faces of my dad and mom
when i showed up at the door with my date for the senior prom
theysaid well pardon us son she ain,t no kid
that,s a cocktail waitress in a dolly parton wig.
i said know it dad ain,t she cool that,s kind i dig.
I like.em sweet i like with a heart of gold yeah

i like,em brassy i like,em brazen and bold.
well they say that opposites attract well i don,t agree
i want a women just tacky as me.

yeah i like my women just a tad on the trasy side. yeah i like my women just a tad on the trashy side.

To have to get up early to work after seeing Joe the night before comes as a complete shock! LOL ;-)

Yesterday's show in Madrid was simply UNBELIEVABLE. It was awesome, Joe blasted out! The atmosphere have been tremendous, the crowd was totally blown away! I think everyone loved it there, giving standing ovations especially after Cool n9, Surfing with the Alien, Satch Boogie, The Extremist and Crowd Chant! For me the highlights were Oriental Melody & Circles. I loved every second!!! The aftershow didn't take place so we couldn't talk to Joe :-/

BAHDAH Thanks for the comeback buddy. As christians, its no use getting upset. We all have been there and done that. Where does that peace come from that passes all understanding? Only from the Lord in that even if we die we are assured a place with Him. My 2 words to live by, especially during this time are NO FEAR. Easy to say over here in Hawaii. God bless bro.

DO THE STU Hey Austin, I remember those days as well. What type of bass do you play. Music preferences?

CUTH Respect your views and do not disagree at all. Like the input and the point of free will leading to the most important aspect of life, salvation. Right on!

SATRIELLA Impressive insight on prophecy. You have done your homework. One thing I would like to point out as I refuse to teach and correct. This is just a suggestion. What alot of students of the Bible, such as myself, do is pick and choose scripture. This cannot be done. You need to foremost have a firm understanding of it as a whole, otherwise you get lost in traffic so to speak. What I stated to bahdah is not my interpretation of the scripture context, but cross-referenced fact. As I said previously, I will not go into a full breakdown on this site as it is extensive. I believe you are on the right track so I am going to suggest you pick up/ research end times material from THE authority on it, David Hocking. Be prepared, as your eyes will open wide. Enough said on my part.

WATERPROOF SOAP The Man. Playin some surf music bro? Love it. Wipe out is fun to play, yeah? Some are supper long jams too. Get some rest dude, tomorrows another day. By the way, thanks again for the media suggestion. Life is alot better without the news. I have enough going on in my life. Dont need to fill it with newscasters dirty laundry. Peace and joy G......

HEEEEEYYY JOE!!! (where you goin' with that gun of yours?) Just had to say that I love the new podcasts, they've had me rolling! Had a couple questions for you, one of them being could you maybe find my other post and read it to answer my other questions? I would give you the date that I posted, but after searching for about 20 minutes I finally decided that maybe you could just ask Webmaster John to look up what posts I've made. My second question is would it be possible to order a JS1200 7-string like the ones you use in concert? I haven't seen any in stores (I'm guessing it's a custom thing), but would it be possible to get one and how much would it be roughly? I think Ibanez should just release the 7-string JS if they haven't already. It sounds awesome and I mean come on, Steve has a 7-string model available, why shouldn't you too? Take it easy Joe and keep rockin'! (Hooray for Italy & the World Cup!!!)

DelfinoPie - I only have a basic understanding of how the media works in England, but I know it's different from the U.S. system.

What kind of journalism are you interested in? Do you want to do news, or music/concert reviews and that kind of thing? Let me know and I can give you more specific information.

As a general response, I'd say study journalism in college (if schools offer that kind of thing in England). If they don't, go for an English/Language Arts major and focus on writing. Take a lot of additional courses in the area you want to focus on...political science if you want to cover government, economics if you want to cover business, art/music if you want to cover that, and so on. Write as much as you can...even if it's just creative writing pieces or term papers for school.

If your university has a newspaper, go to their office and find out what you can do to help them out. If there isn't a newspaper at your school, look around your town for some of the smaller circulation community newspapers and see if you can do anything for them.

I just graduated with a degree in print journalism. That isn't REQUIRED to do my job (in the U.S., at least), but employers look at it as a plus. I also took a few courses in communications, English, and philosophy.

In the U.S., you don't need a license of any kind to be a journalist. You don't have to take any tests, and you don't have to belong to any organization. All you really need is enough money to print up your newspaper/magazine and pay your staff and you're good to go.

I know licenses are required for at least some forms of media in England, but I don't know the specifics... So I can't help you with that, but if you tell me a little more about what kind of journalism you're into I can help point you in the right direction to get started.

FLOYD LANDIS is back in the top three after a stunning day in the alps....who could have imagined that after the debacle of the day before when he lost abut 10 minutes....he is now only 30 seconds behind the leader and looking good for march to paris on sunday!!!

lucysorets....thanks yu for the mail....yu have one too..i think it is very sad and unfortunate in yur part to not be able to use the aftershow pass........the organisers coulad have arranged at least for a few minutes audience with Joe...anyway at least yu saw him in a live show and so i guess that in a way will satisfy you........cheers and have a nice weekend.......

alexandre....hi bro......so yu enjoyed the show with lucy too......sorry about the aftershow thing bro....better luck next time.....peace.

ovation....mike now that i know why yu have not been mailing etc i am relieved...i thought yu were ill or something.....well work always takes precedence and so yu have to complete the task at hand b4 doing anything else......will be waiting for yur mail...feel free to write when yu can...regards to family.

cuthbert........i think we all have to go one day and so till then we can only hope that when the day of reckoning comes we are prepared to go up and not down.....afterall when the trumpet blows we wont have time to repent...so better repent now than never.....there is still hope in this world and i think it is a matter of individual repentence and faith......we should care about the others but b4 doing that we should look to straighten our own lives.....then only can we try to make this world a better place.anyway i think me and yu are commoners who cannot change the world ...all we can do is pray and hope God imbibes upon mankind to be come peace loving and god fearing.peace bro and have a nice day.....

growler....right on bro.....no point talking about what is happening in this world.....fact is the world is what it is because of us.....we make it what it is by not nipping evil things in the bud and letting it go before trying to stop it....anyway why bother.....live in peace and yu shall have a peaceful life.

austin...bro i can understand,,,,,and i know that yu really miss the forum......anyway i hope very soon yu can make a real comeback and be amongst us day in and day out...cannot wait for the SCORE release.........have a nice day....

marimari.....suzie2000.....artanis..........cheers and have a nice day....

zenfish...sorry to hear about that bro...i wish yu were into in as this year is shaping to be one of the best ever especially after the LANDIS show yesterday.....

satriella....yu have mail.......hope yu are doing well....mail back soon.

randell(ATN)...bro hope yur having a wonderful day....may yur fingers get better soon to make yur practise easier.....

Ovation............mike ..bro i am so relieved to see yur post.......anyway i am glad to know that yur ok and actually it is not yur health but yur work that had tied yu up....... so did yu see the tour yesterday....LANDIS is back after an unbelievable day in the alps yesterday..i had predicted an individual time trial by LANDIS in the ALPS yesterday and how right i was...he cut down an 8.08 deficit into a 30 second deficit in a single day and from 11th place he is now back to 3rd....so any one betting aginst him...time trial is his forte and saturday will be the day of his life...he will ride the TT of his life and perhaps win the tour for the one and only time in his life....sastre and perreiro are closely ahead but time trial is LANDIS territory and so anything between 1 to 1 and half minute will be easy meat for landis........i think landis will win .......i have a strong feeling taht he will cut any deficit during the time trial on saturday...he is the best time trialer among the leaders and so i think it is very obvious now that he is the winner of the tour....watch out for saturday to be the day of surprises in the TOUR DE FRANCE..........have a nice day bro.......enjoy the race for another day or two,,,,at least the tour is much more better for viewing than the football world cup...... .....peace.

bye guys.....

GROWLER - Hi... I have two basses: a cheap Washburn (my first bass) and a really nice Fender Stu Hamm Urge II. I love them both...and it feels weird to me sometimes when I find myself playing the Washburn more than the Urge II...I don't know, there's just something about it. ;-) I'll try to get pictures of them online sometime soon...

I've never really been in a band, but I like playing a lot of classic rock and some of the simpler Satch- and Dream Theater-type stuff. Sadly, I haven't had much time to play in the past year or two...hopefully that will change soon.

As far as music I like to listen to, well... My tastes are similar to most people on this board. My favorite artists are Joe Satriani, Dream Theater, Yes, Rush, Led Zeppelin, and Aerosmith. I'm also way into Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, and other similar bands (as well as Van Halen, Deep Purple and other "classic rock" bands).

Some of the bands that I love that are a bit different, at least compared to other T2Jers, include Collective Soul, Dishwalla, the Dave Matthews Band, Garbage, U2, the Mars Volta, Porcupine Tree, Riverside, Explosions In The Sky, the Killers, Dredg, the Frames, the Samples, and...well, I guess I could go on forever.

What about you? What music are you into?

...Austin...

Joe,

Everyone from the T2J Tribute CD was wondering if you ever got a chance to listen to it (Talk2Joe : Echo.... My song was track # 10: Shadows). Not sure if you remember me but I gave you a copy of it at the Baltimore, MD show back in April. Thank you so much for the best evening of my life!!!
