Hey shattered, was that you that bought the green Carvin over at the mmbb forum? Nice!!!!!!
Mikey, yeah I experimented around with a lot of different styles, and finally figured out that I like the pointed ones best, like the Jazz III, Paul Gilbert model, etc. I like the Dunlop Jazz III XL best of all....and so do Guthrie Govan, Eric Johnson, and Andy Timmons. Now if I could just get even a *fraction* of that kind of skill to rub off on me!
Clayton also makes a new pick line called "Spike" that is of the same material as the Dunlop Ultex that I like as well, but I'm always going back to those Jazz III XL's.
Mari, nice to hear you're doing well. : )
I just found this email in my inbox, and figured some people here would be interested in the contest:
Joe Satriani DVD Contest!
This week we're rolling out a new contest for the new JOE SATRIANI SATRIANI LIVE! DVD, released on Epic/Sony on October 31st, from his Super Colossal Tour! Winners will be randomly selected from a pool of entries that contain the answer to the following Satriani Trivia question:

Hi Joe, I am taking my 12 & 14 year old boys to your G# concert in Melbourne on December 3 they are very excited. We are also hoping to meet you when you make an appearance at Allan's music that afternoon at 3pm. I have bought them and a new Ibanez Prestige from Allans for Christmas so two wishes 1) that we meet you and the other G3 guys and 2) that you might sign their new guitar. Best wishes James Kopp (Dad)

Jason, without going into detail I think I have an idea of what you're going through as your poor mum struggles on. But if you start to wonder what the Big Boss man in the sky has got in mind to let this happen, remember that it is the same Boss that has put the wonderful people from this forum who have been sending their thoughts, prayers and good wishes to you and your family, on this earth.
I don't want to preach but may I suggest that if there is any need, properly make your peace with your mum. It's something I wasn't able to do with my Dad and it's something I regret to this day, nearly ten years on.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.
Peace
Steve.

Loll - why the slanted cab over the standard? Just your preference? I thought the standard cab was easily available, get them to swap the order : )
Gotta Have Joe - nooooooooooooo. You lucky thing, it was about 2hrs! Guess it felt like minutes tho....
Cheese - as above, you lucky thing, that's so cool. I'm bummed as I missed it by about 90 minutes. Was it tricky (what with 13 of you 'hitting' Joe)?
SteveeT - I can only somehow imagine a chromey of some sort for the 20th, or perhaps a different colour 90th? I'd be happy either way, but I really want chrome that statys on ; ) that'll do me. I think they will max out arond $15k, so box her away nicely LOL. Great idea about the Joe alert, kinda like on MSN when a 'buddy' signs in? Our buddy Joe!
aussieRGman - thoughts & wishes to you. Hang in there. The main thing is you are there for her, and you're going to be there for her. That's important
alexandrecaetano - hi there, mines a JS3/Donnie Hunt. But I hope to add a 1000BP soon, and hoping for something nice for the anniversary model
Cube - aw, go on, you know you want to say really. No that's cool, totally understand on that one. Would I like their gear? I mean, is the R & D dept any good LMAO Still sounds cool to me though! 2hrs hanging with the man, that's excellent.
Satriella - you're SO right, you do win. I think there's probably about 7 mails on the go now. Ha ha, look out! Oh, and you and NJBeast can count me in, so now we have 3.... : )
considering I'm english, my english sucks

I just wanted to say that as bad as it sounds I only started listing to your music about two and a half years ago. My boyfriend at the time is a Joe fanatic. I learned one thing from him. Joe you are the most amazing musician I have ever listened to. Everytime I hear one of your songs I am in awe. You have the most unique sound I have ever heard. I got to see you live at the Variety in Atlanta GA in April of this year. I have never been so blown away by any preformance. We ended up right in front of the stage and I can honestly say your music is in a class of its own. Eric was awsome, the entire show was fantastic. I hope to get to see you live again soon. I will be at every live show close enough for me to get to from now on. And I can truly say I have become a awestruck fan of your music and acomplishments.

Jason....my condolences...she's at peace, no pain, or sorrow.....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kayla....IMHO, success in life is about your perception of it, and being determined to achieve it...sort that out, and I believe you're ahead of the game....$)
Joe Satriani Video Contest....Yeah, sorry non-USA'ers
Satriella....true'''Git R Done' is Larry the Cable Guy's schtick...
Joe Satrini....another Chromey...now, that would be a tough one given the challanges they have presented...20th Anniversary JS Ibanez will be very interesting....we hope!
Joe Satriani....I humbly suggest that you/Ibanez offer the additional coil assignment switch that you've incorporated into the JS2 PRM in the JS 1200, as it offer's such a sweet sound not achievable on the standard models...
