Good Almost Afternoon Satchland.......

Guitarmans Girl....... Annie..... How are you today? I know its hard and I really can't say much that's already ben' said. My heart goes out to you. I agree with Chee.....moving close to family is key right now. Like I said before .....it didn't surprise me a bit when Joe posted to you. We're here for ya'. Hugs to you.

Aussie...... Happy Birthday to your mum. God Bless her. I wouldn't worry about how people will react. Trust your emotions.....they'll leed the way. I'll be thinkin' of you on Tues. Peace ! ! !

Cuth..... Nice post about Joe. You were right on the mark. Joe has definetly not forgotten were he came from. Pure Class ......all the way. About football..... Looks like Indy and Chicago are tied. NFC race is very interesting this year. Again Grossman scares the sheet out of me. The remaining 6 games are going to seperate the men from the boys. Take Care

Gottahavejoe......Hope all is well with mom. How you holdin' up? Hugs to you.

Satriella....... Nice sketch on cromenumber9. How's things? Hugs

About the Gig on Sat.....

Well, it was the longest hour of my life.....lol.... Everything went wrong. We had technical probs with my amp. Had to play through my little pod with out the sounds that were programed for the songs. The sound man never adjusted the trims going to my Adat and the vocal and kick drum track are distorted. With all the technical issues and not having my sounds I didn't play as inspiered or good as I could. The stage mix sucked.....we couldn't hear each other and we were out of sync with each other. The Silver Lining? We played through it like Pros and got a lot of compliments from the crowd and the Headline band thought we were great. The owner wants us back when we can play three sets and offered us to be the house band. So....inspite of the probs we managed to pull it off. I'm glad we did this gig cuz' it gives us a road map of what we need to do as a band. It was good experience and if we can stay togather for a while....we'll be fine. We took a lot of photos and will be doing the site updates over the holiday weekend. I'll let you guys know of the updates. Thanks.....

Joe..... Once again you showed who you are as a person. It's awesome to see your posts' and to know you really do care and how you touch so many poeple. Like Cuth said...." Thanks for being......Joe. Say Hey ! ! ! to the family, band and crew. God Bless.

Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! ! !

Edit.....nice poem Michelle

Captain...... I'm sure you're refering to ......"Going Down"

Yes, it's on my list to cover. Joe did an awesome cover of that song on G3. If I'm not mistaken , it was the first G3 with Eric Johnson and of course Mr. Vai.

SteveeT...... Thanks so much. Like I said....A long night....lol....I'm rethinking my "live" set up. I love the idea of programable sounds but the Pod stuff seems to be used for studio use and not live. There's a reason for that. I'm thinkin of possible going for a Boogie or a JSX. You've spoke very highly of your JSX combo and I know Suzo and OPCS470 have one. I'm thinkin' I don't really need programable sounds but need a 3 channel amp....Clean,dirty and crunch. I don't like rack effects and Blues/ Rock isn't realy a genre that uses a lot of effects......Reverb, a little delay and some sortof drive pedal with a good amp. I have an original TS 808 and it screams. I stayed with the Pod stuff cuz' I had invested money into the kidney Pod and the floorboard before I bought the Pod Pro and the floorboard is compatible with the Pod Pro. I didn't want get killer tones in the studio and rehearsal and fight for the same tone live with a tube amp. I found this on eBay and thought you'd appreciate it. So what do you think? Do I stay with Line 6 or go with a Boogie or the JSX Combo? I value your opinion. Thanks.

Edit ....... Can't get the link to work. It's a signed JSX Combo from the Cliff Show. Looks really nice.

Keniko - About the live rig. I personally like to have my effects on rackmount and running through the effects loop. I like to be able to program stuff and change more than 1 effect w/ just 1 step of a pedal. Then have a 3 channel amp. As far as Boogie or Peavy that's a toss up. They sound so different. I'm playing through a XXX right now after a while of playing through a Dual Rec. The tones are not even close to similar. Which is better? That is all personal.Good luck. Go for a test drive so that you don't buy something you don't like.

Sorry if this is a repeat - still funny

Two hunters are out in the woods in New Jersey when one of them collapses.

He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed.

The other guy whips out his 'phone and calls the emergency services.

He gasps, 'My friend is dead! What can I do?'

The operator says, 'Calm down, I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead.'

There is a silence, then a shot is heard.

Back on the phone, the guy says, 'OK, now what?'

O.J. Simpson book, TV special canceled

NEW YORK - After a firestorm of criticism, News. Corp. said Monday that it has canceled the O.J. Simpson book and TV special "If I Did It."

"I and senior management agree with the American public that this was an ill-considered project," said Rupert Murdoch, News Corp. chairman. "We are sorry for any pain that this has caused the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson."

A dozen Fox affiliates had already said they would not air the two-part sweeps month special, planned for next week before the Nov. 30 publication of the book by ReganBooks. The publishing house is a HarperCollins imprint owned — like the Fox network — by News Corp.

Michael Richards (Kramer on Seinfield) racial tirade draws castigation

LOS ANGELES - A barrage of racial epithets unleashed by former "Seinfeld" star Michael Richards during a stand-up comedy routine drew condemnation from Richards' industry colleagues.

Comedian Paul Rodriguez, who was at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood on Friday when Richards responded to two black hecklers with the "n" word and profanities, said he was shocked by Richards' remarks.

"Once the word comes out of your mouth and you don't happen to be African-American, then you have a whole lot of explaining," Rodriguez told CNN. "Freedom of speech has its limitations and I think Michael Richards found those limitations."

Jerry Seinfeld issued a statement saying he was "sick over this."

"I'm sure Michael is also sick over this horrible, horrible mistake. It is so extremely offensive. I feel terrible for all the people who have been hurt," Seinfeld said of Richards, 57, who played eccentric Kramer on the hit 1989-98 sitcom and whose major credit since was the failed 2000 comedy series, "The Michael Richards Show."

Calls to Richards' representatives were not returned Monday.

His Laugh Factory tirade began after the two clubgoers shouted at him that he wasn't funny. A videotape of the incident was posted on TMZ.com.

Richards retorted: "Shut up! Fifty years ago we'd have you upside down with a f------ fork up your a--."

He then paced across the stage taunting the men for interrupting his show, peppering his speech with racial slurs and profanities.

"You can talk, you can talk, you're brave now mother------. Throw his a-- out. He's a n-----!" Richards shouts before repeating the racial epithet over and over again.

Moderating his tone at one point, Richards tells the audience: "It shocks you. It shocks you" and refers to "what lays buried."

While there is some chuckling in the audience throughout the outburst, someone can be heard gasping "Oh my God" and people respond with "ooh" after Richards uses the n-word.

Eventually someone calls out: "It's not funny. That's why you're a reject, never had no shows, never had no movies. `Seinfeld,' that's it."

On Monday, about a half-dozen community activists gathered at the club to denounce Richards' remarks and demand an apology.

civgeek....... Thanks for your insight. I to like the programablity of sounds with effects with an amp. I should rephraze what I ment from my last post. I don't have rack effects but use the reverb, chorusing and delays in my Pod Pro along with TS 808 for an extra boost. Again thats why I like the Pod stuff. What's scaring me is .....I think there was a power spike or something cuz' when I fired up my "live" Pod rig my sounds were gone ! ! ! ! I had sounds and my amp worked but not with the patches I had programmed????? This is why I might be rethinking my live set up. My Pod Pro is discontinued and was thinkin' of upgrading to the Pod XT before this happened. The XT has the modeled effects from their floor series built in the Pod. Those effects are amazing sounding, plus the Tone Library has thousands of sounds you can download in a pinch from any artist you can name. I always perfer to program my own sounds for my needs but all the patches in this library are usable or they're great starting points for a particular sound you want. I get compliments all the time on how my amp sounds and everyones always surprised it's a Pod. But I'm worried this will happen again so what do you do??????
