Suzo - Nice page. Ever thought about English Heritage events? Prolly not a big earner but possibly an appreciative audience.

Guitarmans Girl - Anne, you will find that the people of this site are very uplifting and have formed a communiity around Joe that does its best to be supportive to each other. Hopefully, you will drop back in from time to time to say, "Hello." I, personally, would like to send my condolences to you on your loss. The passing of a loved one is never easy and this was made more difficult due to his age. All you can do is keep a memory and LIVE your life to best that you can. Enjoy every minute and cherish the ones around you. I know it's hard to move on because you feel like you may forget. But that is what needs to be done. I hope you can use his memory to become the person he always knew you could be. Take care.
Sincerely,
Matt Dorado.

OVATION1- he's lying... jess likes to play with other guys, he did the ARMS benefit (yes many many years ago) with clapton and page, he occasionally plays with other guys like lukather and santana....he's lying dude, I think he thinks it's a competition and is probably uncomfortable playing alonside guys of joe and steve's caliber - when it's not even like that.
from a Joe interview -
Kim: I know that you're the driving force behind G3. Do you have any guitarists that you have your eye on for future shows?
Joe We spend about a year to about a year and a half prior to hitting the road and the nature of the business is that you have to really work on a couple of different scenarios at once until one of them looks like it's truly gonna take off. I've gone after the obvious choices. I've been calling Eddie Van Halen and Jeff Beck for many years consistently trying to get them to come out. I've asked Kirk Hammett, from Metallica, to come out. You know, some of these guys don't like leaving their bands to come out and go solo, even if it's just for six weeks of shows. So that's been difficult. Some of the other guys, maybe, are uncomfortable standing on stage with other guitarists. They really prefer to go out on their own tours and not have that scene where they have to mix it up with other players. Generally though, I've always found that if I can get them to do one G3 show, it always changes their mind. They realize that it's not a competition, it's a very musical and friendly event and the audience doesn't see it as a competition at all, so they really have nothing to worry about. It's just getting them to that first show that's the tough part. (laughs)
jeff is one of joe and steve's bigger influences, he would have a blast out there.... even if it was just one single cameo somewhere.
it would be a great tragedy if it never happened..... he doesn't really fit a G3 mold, joe and jeff go together a lot better than jeff and steve cause joe kinda plays everything and he's more into the bluesy stuff... steve is just crazy.... maybe a G2 like he did with johnson.

ZINC lmao!!!
satriella guitars look very nice on pictures, but what you wanna know is if they work properly, if they don't go out of tune every 15 seconds or if the intonation is good... so i'd advice you to look for a squier stratocaster (the model u saw on ebay is a copy of the original fender stratocaster)... squier is the cheap line for fender, so even if you order it online, you know you'll get a good product... i played a squier strat for years before i could afford a better guitar, trust me, it's better than good for an entry level, for anybody who wants to learn how to play... cheaper woods, cheaper electronics, cheaper manufacturer (made in china) but the same fender quality... you'll pay more, but you'll have nothing to worry about... hope this helps

Stevee T: Nice man! I really liked the groove and phrasing! Those JS's have a really neat idiosyncratic tone. They all seem to have a huge cut to them, but with a fat woody/bluesy after tone to the notes. Very cool!
