Capt Steve: Many thanks Capt! Life just keeps getting better and better..... still has it's up and downs, it always will. I'm trying to always stay positive. Cheers.
Satriella: Hi Sandy, how was London? It's good to be here.... just popped in the other day so I'm a tad behind. lol I'm doing great, been working on organizing my photos and getting rid of clutter..... enormous projects... They say you can eat an elephant.... "one bite at a time".
My bf is ready to get married. That's a huge step....I've been on my own for quite a while and need to take my time. I'll keep you posted. :) So how's things with you? Well I hope....
Mikesb: Congrat's on your wife's new horse. They are beautiful animals, enjoy. There's a few places to go horseback riding near me, I should take advantage of it more often. Who's going to clean the stalls? lol
SteveeT: What's up Stevee? No good shows in NYC at the moment..... hopefully some will come along soon. I'd love to get together with you & Mikesb again (Ronnie too). ;)
Zenfish: How are you? How's the Symphony coming along?

AussieRGman,
Having lost both of my parents for many years now (mum 16 and dad 10), one thing you can count on is music. If you can play, it's the best release of emotion you can have. Playing got me through some tough times, and still does. Losing loved ones is always hard. One thing I've learnt is that you never get over this, but you have to learn to get on with thiings. You take all of those feelings and memories with you every day, and that's what gives you strength to go on.
The first everything is gonna be tough, Xmas, birthday, easter, etc. But if you avoid it now, you'll feel the same come next year. You have to go through with it. It will hurt, but it's all part of accepting what's happened.
My all time favourite song is 'Life Without You' from SRV. If you can get a hold of a live version, he has some great stuff to say in there. He wrote it about Charley Wirz, a friend from Austin that made some guitars for him. He plays the main one in this song (white strat type with lipstick pickups).
Hang in there mate, it'll all pan out in the end.
Take care,
Steve
PS I've seen that there's a few other people here going through similar times. My thoughts and prayers are with you also.

I CAN"T BELIEVE IT !!!!
I have just been informed from Vai's site of being one of the lucky winners of a aftershow pass. to G3 in Sydney.
So for those still waiting to hear who the lucky people / person from Joe's site will be, I am removing my sons and my own entry from here.
Life don't get much better than this.

Bah Doh - I think I will stick with my original forecast, a drawn series. This Ozzie side are nowhere near as tough mentally as they think, or tactically. A few years ago they would never have given even a glimmer of a chance like we got in the second innings. This tells me that they know they are beatable.
Monterrey Trace, Conch, Mr T - I have no idea what 'turkey sock' is but I don't think I will ever develop a taste for it. Maybe it's my dirty mind but bleeeurrrgh.
Looking forward to my new copy of ITLIS arriving, haven't listened to it for over a year since my son accidentally threw it away.
M le Zen Poisson - Will you be doing any singing on the finished sinfonie? LOL
