lol!

Hey batter, batter, batter....

Slan, I'm sure listening to all that growling death metal on my son's mp3 player whilst trimming the tree didn't help. lol! There was some good stuff on there too, but man, good thing those lil' trinkets come with a SKIP button. lol! Every time I hear one of those growling metal songs, I say "Ohh, another love song" and have a laugh. I think it was Between The Buried and Me, among others. Funny stuff.

michelle: Hope Erin had a wonderful B-Day, and I know what you mean about the kids gowing so fast, Aiko is in her 2nd year of college already! :-0 :-)

wolfie: Happy Birthday??!!??!!??!!??!!??!!??!!??!!??!!??!!

Joe: Thanks man, you are the best.... No other artist out there has a heart like you.... You are indeed Super Colossal!! :-)

BigBunny: You ROCK!! :-) And I'll bet Joe remembers me because of our wonderful T2J lady michelle.... She hooked me up with Joe big time!! :-)

Kayla: Sorry to hear your Dad is not taking the advice.... I dont know the whole situation; but if I were you, and my Dad wasn't listening, I would talk to his 2 lady friends and tell them how I truely feel.... They are interrupting your life and they must go.... Tell your Dad straight up.... Me or them.... Good luck Kayla, I know he'll make the right choice! :-)

slanshroom: Sorry to hear about your gear dilemma, but if I know you, it will all work out bro.... And btw, I know what you mean about manuscript all round my house, lol, its there to take advantage of; but only people like Dr. \//\I and Joe (others too, lol) know how to work through that oblivion to get what they want.... I'll bet it has something to do with us mere mortals having to work regular jobs, haha.... Stay kuul bro, and gambate!....

Later peeps, and btw, Jason.... Glad to see your back on track, and lets be careful we dont get what Joe posted as what some people think happened.... I did some research and see that there was a Jason who Joe met at Brisbane.... Jaysoni (Jason Aniolkowski) won the aftershow pass for that show.... I can see where the confusion would occur.... Again bro, glad to see your chin is up and git is on your mind!! :-)

Good Morning Peeps.

How are we all today? did you have a good weekend?. I had my last gig of the year on Sat..... It was Crazy, So many things went worng, We had bad sound problems, One of my Friends guitars cut out during a song, which ment we had to change the set list around..... it was mad.

I did not know the Live cd had an error on it. I thought I had not seen it in the shops for a few days or maybe they had just sold out.....

oh well check you all later.

Zenfish:Cool i find the history subject & not just of art interesting, seems we keep making the same mistakes, granted things change but the core logics repeat

Ovation:Aye i was a tad dumped, that was god fuckin with me, "stupid mortal, you in your infinite wisdom think your art is special ho ho ho i,m god clause, you,ve been a bad lil bollox, no Korg for you" yeah somethin like that, in the meantime, i,ll muse over my ever growing music manuscript garbage, i got dots where there shouldnt be dots, like on the wifes nose n chin lol

Jason:Not a bad lil setup y got bud, i,ll mail y direct later

Michelle:lol how it changes eh, 50 years ago Perry Como *shudder* n no skip button!

yellow everyone, reading satch's quote on his live setup he gets his distortion tone from a barber burn unit EQ--> Boss DS-1 Mod--> Peavey JSX..is this into the clean channel?, or does he have the crunch/ultra channels on his JSX with half-ish gain and these pedals as a boost,or with their gains close to zero with the pedals making most of the distortion. I have every pedal i've seen him use live + jsx + js1000..i've fiddled around with the amp/pedals and honestly don't know what he's doing. Emulating his setup into the clean channel gives a very thin scratchy bad tone.Using no pedals and the crunch/ultra channels also doesn't sound very nice.

Best I can do is run ds-1 --> barber burn --> MXR Zakk wylde..the ds-1: tone 25% , Volume 50% Distortion 75% ,barber burn : gain : 60% , dynamics : 100% tone : 15% MXR pedal : gain : zero , volume : 40% , tone : 50% the mxr pedal seems to add a little something to the top end while making bassier notes a little farty.I've also got a keeley wah, pog, fulltone octave with DD-3's/chorus in the effects loop but i'm just interested in his core tone.

'http://peven2727.free.fr/matos.php' has info on his pedal settings there but doesn't seem right. Anyone can help? maybe the man himself. Thanks if anyone can - Andy

Zenfish...interesting experiment...it has moments of great question...sound quality has improved too...nice...

buymyshiz....I might humbly suggest... that finding your tone is the best quest...if Joe's is the one that reflects your soul the most...then...it sounds like you're on the right path....think he goes clean into JSX, and get's additional tone from pedals & fingertips...?

aussieRGman: I hear ya bro, and what hurts is to hear that he had an American accent..part of Joe's crew, not just some local help, too bad you didnt get his name.... An email to Jon (webduder) would help rectify the situation for future shows....

Zenfish: Nice little layered guitar with Haendel and the Harpsichord Baroque.... Very interesting piece....

Hi Mari :-)

slanshroom: haha, lol bro, I can hear that deep loud voice echo from the heavens, and I can feel your pain bro, lol!!.... If there were only 48hrs in one day..eh!!....

....Dunno if this has been posted here before, but a really kuul interview with Joe about SC....

So I get my latest edition of Guitar Player, and on page 49 there is a ad for the new JSX "Mini Colossal"...needless to say I am intrigued.

So, I go to Peavy's website and look under "new products" nada...I go to the JSX page...zilch. I send an Email to Peavey to ask about the amp...nothing.

I know that Joe mentioned in a previous interview that he was working with Peavey on a small practice amp, but that it all I have read/heard.

I can't believe we are in the middle of the shopping season, and Peavey has dropped the ball on this. It makes no sense to make an announcement about a new product and not have any web site support for said product.

Has anybody heard/read anthing else about this amp? Any links...anything?

Shakkalath....I believe Joe said he'll be "unveiling" the new amp with Peavey at the Winter NAMM in January 07.....may be why there's no other info out there on it yet, other than the teaser ads in the mags....building up excitement and anticipation!
