BigBunny: Kuul beans, have a wonderful time seeing Joe, and never wash your hand after you shake his, lol! :-)

Keniko: Couldn't have said it any better about this place rocking Ken, Amen!.... And I'm sure your proud of that Keith momento as I would be!!.... It was he and Wakeman that blew my keyboard mind back in the day, and lol, they still do!!.... Btw, on your studio, built with loving family hands sure does make it that much more special.... Keep up the rock Ken!....

OCPS470: I agree man, Pablo' tone is definately much better these days (I would definately agree on the Laney answer and TZ pups!!); although that, along with the Fulltone OCD (he uses these days) helps, lol, plus the fact that back in the day he used so many crazy gits (custom RG's, Destroyers etc.) with all kinds of configurations (as far as triple hum's and the like).... Not until he was with Mr. Big did he settle down somewhat, as far as playing for the song.... Got some info from the Racer X site about his use of the ADA:

(From a longtime friend of Paul and Bruce'.... JJ Gray) I'll offer what I remember Bruce's rig was like back then. Paul and Bruce had basically identical gear. First off, don't let yourself get carried away with the mini's. It's not like their tone was as elusive as EVH's. Paul had slapped a Seymour Duncan mini in the neck position, and could use it as a high F# while doing his solo. Long story short, Both Epiphone's were made identical, and Bruce had a mini in his orange epiphone as well. They never used a mini in the bridge position. They both had standard size humbuckers in the bridge position, and I'd say they were Duncan's, as that's what they were using at the time. The models were standard gain, probably JB's or Distortion's. What they did that was somewhat unique, was that they wired their pickups in parallel, NOT in series as is the standard wiring. This was to clean up the tone a tad while using the gain they had using in their rigs. Also keep in mind, they DO NOT do that anymore, so don't go nuts over it. You're really going out of your way, to do something somewhat insignificant nowadays. They went straight into an ADA MP-1 (switched with an MC-1 midi controller), through an ADA MQ-1 (midi EQ), a rackmount delay (I think an Alesis Midiverb) a Hush, and into an AMPEG amplifier (ran clean). The AMPEG's had graphic EQ's on them, so they could dial in nice low end through the cabs. The AMPEG's sounded great clean. Pumping the MP-1 preamp through them would help give the tone they had. Looking back on it then, even though they ran many many cabinets, and the stage setup looking elaborate, the tones they got were simple in design. They sounded great, not because of the simple tone, but because they f*ckin' had amazing talent, and were incredibly clean pickers.

Sorry to post that here, but very interesting reading about their setup back in the day.... And werd bro on songs like Gilberto Concerto.... Translating all the parts to fit as a whole piece is painstaking work, and yup on the Beatle Paul.... They were/are Pablo' favorite group of all time....

T-Bone: Happy to hear your Dad is out of the hospital, that is great news, and having Sweetie kitty around for as long as she can just makes it all that much better! :-)

That was a great group hug there too, btw, lol! ;-)

aussieRGman: Hope you can get that water heater fixed soon, although, lol, isnt it summer there?!?! ;-) :-) Keep us posted on the Joe show too!!.... Btw, try checking your Control Panel to see if the sound menu items are set on....

bahduh: Will do my friend, will do....

....Later peeps, and btw, post your messages to BigBunny for Joe!!....

OCPS470: Dunno if you have Pablo' Get Out Of My Yard, but if you dont, check out the clip here of Haydn Symphony No. 88 Finale.... And also.... He will be playing with Bruce again in L.A. and elsewhere, as well as Japan (of course, lol).... Kuul news....

aussieRGman: ahhhh, sounds like you had a possible all region or region 1, 2 etc. access problem, glad you got it all sorted out, and have a great nite!....

Being Promoted from First Grade

A first-grade teacher, Ms. Brooks, was having trouble with one of her students. The teacher asked, "Harry, what's your problem?"

Harry answered, "I'm too smart for the 1st grade. My sister is in the 3rd grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the 3rd grade too!"

Ms. Brooks had had enough. She took Harry to the principal's office.

While Harry waited in the outer office, the teacher explained to the principal what the situation was. The principal told Ms. Brooks he would give the boy a test. If he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the 1st grade and behave. She agreed.

Harry was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he agreed to take the test.

Principal: "What is 3 x 3?"

Harry: "9."

Principal: "What is 6 x 6?"

Harry: "36."

And so it went with every question the principal thought a 3rd grader should know.

The principal looks at Ms. Brooks and tells her, "I think Harry can go to the 3rd grade"

Ms. Brooks says to the principal, "Let me ask him some questions."

The principal and Harry both agreed.

Ms. Brooks asks, "What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?"

Harry, after a moment: "Legs."

Ms. Brooks: "What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?"

The principal wondered why would she ask such a question!

Harry replied: "Pockets."

Ms. Brooks: "What does a dog do that a man steps into?"

Harry: "Pants."

Ms. Brooks: What starts with a C, ends with a T, is hairy, oval, delicious and contains thin, whitish liquid?"

Harry: "Coconut."

The principal sat forward with his mouth hanging open.

Ms. Brooks: "What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?"

The principal's eyes opened really wide and before he could stop the answer, Harry replied, "Bubble gum."

Ms. Brooks: "What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three legs?"

Harry: "Shake hands."

The principal was trembling.

Ms. Brooks: "What word starts with an 'F' and ends in 'K' that means a lot of heat and excitement?"

Harry: "Firetruck."

The principal breathed a sigh of relief and told the teacher, "Put Harry in the fifth-grade, I got the last seven questions wrong .
