Speaking of shredding with taste.......
Check this out....Vai and Macalpine at Carvin's 60th anniversary bash. Click each vid link. It's the same song. Wait untill you see Vai and Mac duel it out. It's the 21st century version of Jack Bultler from "Crossroards" You decide which ones's Jack and which is Butler....lol.....Unbeleivible....Shred with Class at it's finest.

MikesB: NICE!! I took some pointers from a country player around here that is pretty good to figure out some of that stuff, but he certainly doesn't doit quite like that haah! Did you notice that on runs he's using his right hand more like the way a classical guitarist woul (playing with multiple fingers on a single string run instead of alternate picking) except a classical player uses the index, middle, and sometimes ring to do that type of thing. Really interesting!

Hey Joe!!!I'm writing from Serbia, where you have many fans.I've been to your concert in the first row,and we've met in front of the hotel...Anyway how did you like the show here? When will you come here again and is there any chance to get the G3 here? And one more question.I play the guitar for four years now and people tell me I'm preety good.I even play some of your songs from Surfing with the alien....But I'm not happy with my improvisations,'cause after a time they all sound the same to me.What do you think about it?Although I've got a preety good legato and tapping techniques, this is bugging me.I'm having my first gig soon and I'm so nervous.Maybe you'll hear me playing someday...Greetings from Serbia,Belgrade.....Come back soon !!!!!!!!One of your most faithfull fans in Serbia,Milos.....

Slanshroom: Aye, I will never want to end up a tellytubby either Roy.....I'm getting my ass in gear cause I've been slacking lol. It helps sooo much with the mind & stress and all the stuff that'll choke you unless you have a positive outlet like exercise.
SteveeT: Will do Stevee.
Bahduh: :) I'll speak with him this weekend. God Bless Mark.
mthead101: A very Merry Christmas to you Mark! ;)
Satriella: Sandy, even I have a hard time keeping up with my schedule.....lol.
Nothing is ever simple or close for me.....my sis gets married in Florida 2-3 weeks after JOe's show. So I have to fly back down....I can't miss that, no way! ;)
I saw Joe 7 times this tour (Fla & Cali being LONG trips) My Bro gets married in Vermont.
Then I've been traveling back n forth to Boston seeing/ working for "Draw The Line" and my bf is from Boston as well. I flew out to Cali the end of Sept for the Cliff show. There was a lot of work to make my part of the fundraiser possible.
I'm not home much on the weekends
but I still have all the responsibilities of a full time job & home owner as well as my passion for photography & music. Whew! I wouldn't trade it for anything! My car is fine till it snows.
I was almost killed 2x last year...... Thankfully I have my Dad's van "Rockzilla", she'll kick ass in the snow. ;)
Clarky: Missed ya bro. ;)
Ovation: Andy Timmon's or Paul Gilbert for G-3!!!! I was thinking of you when I was saw PG at the Cliff show.....I tried to talk to him after he signed a few of my photos but he couldn't hear me since the show had already started. Damn Shame. I would've loved to talk with him.....
Grimgo: Welcome to the Realm of Satch. ......there are many incredible people here :)
NAMM Man: Thanks for the info...maybe Keniko can go...to far for me! ;)
Zenfish: Glad you have the Strat.......(2) I wish I could do just one justice by SRV.....
I'm born to photograph and not play I guess. I'm Ok with that....
Peace.

Hi all,
In the last few weeks I got in the habit of posting on Youtube some of the songs that I've been performing with the keyboard for the last 20 years, and I have begun posting renditions of Joe's songs on Youtube, in addition to other bands that I've enjoyed listening to.
Currently I have posted my rendition of the Satch Boogie on a Korg Karma keyboard. Check it out and let me know what you think. There are more Satriani songs to follow. Please go to the YouTube page and comment on them. Here's the link to
the page directly.
http://www.youtube. com/profile? user=mtg8321
I saw Joe in concert in April, 06 in New Jersey, and it was pleasant surprise to find out that he uses a Korg Karma on stage. It reinforced my belief that I have a really good keyboard to emulate the Satch sound.
Hope you enjoy.
Mike

Haven't been here in a while... Have I missed anything? Uhhh... college, music, recording. I should have a new band very soon, I just have to call them. I was at Guitar Center trying to test out a Line6 PodXT, I ended up practically demoing the PodXT for GC, lol. I did have one guy come up to me and give me his card for some studio work and someone else gave me their number, their band has been looking for a guitarist that can handle progressive rock/metal. Hopefully it all works out.
Any Outworld fans here? I just got their latest album today along with Bumblefoot's 'Normal'.
