I don't know, I think I remember him saying it was MIJ, not Korea. I'm going to check it out tomorrow. Any way I can distinguish exactly what it is? I know the 470 has the Lo-TRS trem, while the 7321 and 7420 have fixed trems and are made in Korea. How can I make sure the 470 is MIJ, should have it stamped on the back of the headstock, right?

Is the RG7420 worth $285 then? It's GC, so I can make them lower the price, along with throwing in one or two sets of strings, a cable, and a strap.
Clarky, how is the 7620? I found a guy selling a 7621 for fairly cheap, I'm just waiting on pics. Definitely would be a better buy than whatever 7-string GC has, right?

Clarky....... 12/8 ? When I was learning the opening arpeggiated chords in Always..... I'd set the metronome at 132bpm and count 1,2,3...1,2,3, and it sounded and felt right. The arpeggiated notes landed right on the beat. Why did that work? I'm sure you're right about the time signature, just curious how my approched worked....at least for me....lol.....Thanks

Hi DEONBLASTER
Welcome fellow newcomer
The reason that Ibanez sell different guitars in the UK to the US and Canada is marketing bro. Also the market is huge in the US therefore the price can be lower, volume of sales. They think the trans burnt blue is cool for the Uk Js1000's but personally I think it sucks, that's why I imported my Black Pearl JS1000 from Canada. You need to pay the import duty but it's way cheaper than buying in the UK even then.
There are some chromeboys available in the UK if you search the web but they are about £3,500. Some dealers in the US and Canada have sworn a pact with Ibanez to NOT ship back to the UK, but there are a few who will, maybe some of our US buddies know the location of a chrome boy you could source Stateside?

Deon - I'm just a few miles from Whiteknights
what are you studying??
Guitarmeister - the RG7620 is nice... I really like it.. I like the neck a lot..
I thought the pups sucked though so I swaped them out for an Evo7 at the bridge and a Blaze at the neck...
and now it's a stonking guitar...
my RG7620, though a lovely guitar, will soon be taking a back-seat to mey new Morgan Custom 7-string..
which is the dog's gonads..
Kenico - the 1-2-3 you are hearing are the 1/8 notes...
the strong count beats are the actual count.
ONE -2-3 TWO 2-3 THREE 2-3 FOUR 2-3..
or better..
ONE and a TWO and a THREE and a FOUR and a
there are two types of time sig...
1 - those where the count is divided by two's
one and two and three and etc..
this is called "simple time"
2 - those where the count is divided by three's
one and a two and a three and a etc..
this is called "compound time"
compound time sigs give you that "triplet" / "shuffle" / "swing" within the main count

Clarky:Well...i,m still nutz bro lol, working away at a version of Saint Saens OP 28, starting t get something i like from the fretless, but it needs new pick ups for her t sing.Seriously thinking about the sustainiac system now for that guitar, an HS2 dimarzio for mid n for the bridge i dunno. The sustainiac sound is from the bridge pickup & the best i,ve tried for my guitar so far is the Seymour JB, the others dont dont melt into the wood i hold, although i did find something odd years ago.The JB pickup i bought in the states via a friend, has diff colours, doesnt have as hot an output as the trad JB.I think someone got lazy that day n took a few winds of metal off the magnet lol
mari:Jason Becker kicked my ass so hard y couldnt hear the scream, hes an incredible man.I like saying that..HE IS.By far the only person that still is fit enough for me t replace EVH.I really felt for him recording that CD with DLR, the man knew he could play better but his body gave in.Do you have his album Perpetual Burn? if not buy it! He recorded that at the tender age of 17! For me Air & Altitudes hit a spot.
Personaly i feel guitarists worldwide at that time felt insecure & would rather he be brushed under the carpet & unheard of because he was so brilliant,so young.I met many that couldnt listen 2 his work, without sounding egotistic, many wouldnt let me play in jam sessions back home let alone play my work live.I came to realize the old John Lennon song, they hate y if yer clever & they dispise a fool till yer so fuckin crazy y cant follow their rules-"workin class hero"
Thoughts are things & i believe 2 many sent a bad hex t this lad cause they couldnt handle feeling "less than" sad fucks all of em.
Now guitarists are catching up, he is a part of "shred" history WTF this man is a great composer/composer of electric guitar music, i cant stand him being recorded in history as someone that JUST played fast grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

hello, my name is sean and im from monaghan in ireland. firstly i only chose my nickname to be yngwie no 1 cause "satch" was reserved for you and i think you are the most emotional guitarist in the universe. u dont care about all of your songs being 100000000000000000mph witch is why you are a genuine player.Even though you are capable of setting your neck on fire with pure speed, you are the greatist musician ever. the summer song is a masterpeice, and it resembles the title of the song, just the way all the old composers used to do. the summer song has a meaning. i also like you beacause you are not one little bit "big headed", all you have to do is go onstage and do your thing, many people value that in you.i ha been playing for avery long time now and i own your signature amp head and the js1000.pleeeeeeeaaaaasssssseeee email back.
with all the respect in the world,
seán Beatty.

Guitarmiester that seems like a reasonable price for a used 7420.
aussiergman you could do it in drop A and do the one finger nu metal chug.. you play it just the same only they have extended range ..they are fun to mess around with.

Jaysus, 7-string, 12 string fretless etc etc etc.... I play best on my no-string guitar. When i whip that sucker out my playing just cannot be topped..... Problems with all my stringed guitars??? It is their fault!! my guitars are talentless coz I can play up a blue streak on my stringless!!!!
