Joe just wanted to say howdy, and say thnk you for all the wonderful music over the years. I also want to thank you for the inspiration I have to write. I am a poet (self proclaimed.lol) and well I have been writing for a few years now, one of my original statememnts when I first started writing poetry was that I wanted to write poetry like YOu(Joe Satriani) and Steve (Vai) Play guitar. You really have been an inspiration to me and have given me a goal to reach a level of excelence in my chosen art.

Now question Time. I know in my own creative process I sometimes get a phrase in my head. and build around that. I was wondering if for you if you start with not the "Hook" per se but a particulair music phrase (or beat) and then build your songs from that.

Thanks for your time

pick on!!!!!!

Cappy...... Thanks.....I'm thinkin' about it. Once I get my Carvin with the Floyd I'll be able to play more Satch tunes. I love the challenge. It took me about two years to learn HFOB. We do the LISF arrangement. I had to build on my Legato technique and overall speed. It would be cool to get Joe's blessing. Thanks again.

Slans/Cuth......????? Your posts went over my head.....lol.... I obviously miss something.......lol.......

Were good little cop chic dont sound like that silly 1,Hey who,s panty,s are these are these your,s? remember that man when i use to make you show me your panty,s and take your clothes off for custom girl part inspection and years later we have sex and im the only one that has sex with you there to important to get fouckn ilness,s is that the last thing i need is my cute cop chic,s with some vagina illness or worse something that claims there life man they have to be care full and besides there long blonde and curly iremeber i told you where i was at on the web called joe and asked if we could talk and took care of the radio station for you just ate those rib,s i bought man they were good but like even at half price at 6 buck,s a box there still not really worth it man,i would much rather buy side rib,s pork when there on sale for like 2 buck,s a pound and put my own barbecue sauce on and cook them man way cheaper there bigger to man like longer bone,s man so actually there is the same amount of meat if you take into consideration the size man ,i will give you a little wolf2 killing me tip man you know how when you buy a vaue pack of pork side rib,s just pick it up then take it to the butcher and get him to slice the rack down the middle man you see bone deliver,s a signal to your brain that can stay with you for as lolong as 14 - 17 month,s man and can interfer with your brain but if it,s cut in half the size it,s the same as eating pure meat but with taste and tender of the bone later wolf2.

Hey Joe, I am not yet fortunate enough to come to one of your gigs, next time you are in the UK I hope to be there whether it's a G3 or a Satch show next time!

I was wondering how often you perform Crushing Day live, because it's my personal favourite and there never seems to be any live footage anywhere! A few more of my favourites are Mind Storm, The Mighty Turtle Head, Baroque, What Breaks A Heart as well as Motorcycle Driver!

Even seeing those on a DVD would really be something but to see those live for myself would be a dream come true because for many people as well as myself like Jimi Hendrix was for you, you're who inspired me to take up guitar!

It's not just your playing that is inspiring it's what is behind your songs and the way you express yourself that drives me on with writing songs myself!

(This is getting to be a long post lol sorry)

One question I'd like to ask is: Although you sing through your guitar and you let the music speak for itself and convey emotions, what do you think you are saying through your music most of the time, and if you could put words to your songs, what would they be saying? That's a difficult one to answer considering how many songs you have but I'm just intrigued as to what your music says to you and what you are expressing! I know you can't generalise all of your music, but do you find there is a message you want to send out through your music, about your life or life in general etc?

Thank you for your music!

Dave, xXx.

DCK - if you found the Blaze to bright on the UV did you replace it???

ocps - so it's not only note density that counts but a whole raft of other stuff too.... like the contour of the melody / licks as in how angular or smooth they are... pick attack from deep to none [legato]... use of forced harmonics... it's a whole vocabulary in it's own right....
I think the focus today is on too much perfection...
for me, it take the heart and soul out of the music...
almost like computer music but done by people... lol..
Satriella - you know that I have a "life-time access all bars pass"??????
hmmm..... you know way too much... are you a policewoman?? lol..
Mikey - interesting that you mention Steve Howe... have you ever tried learning some of his stuff.... cos it can be really hard... in many respects, much more difficult than shred, even though it's no where neer as flashy and blatant...

hahaaa... yeah never say never bro...

Ronnie - don't worry bro... I bet life is a little chaotic right now..
hope all is well bro.....
if you get a mo.. ping me...
thanks bro..
Capt Steve - when I replay to your mails they are being rejected....
so... you can paypal me at paulclark@rocketmail.com..
£12 for UK, £13 for overseas - P&P is included in the price.. I know you want the CD signed to your boy... in the paypal notes state his name... or mail me the details... I'm getting your mail, but replying is failing for some crazy reason that I don't understand...
stay lucky bro..
deon - sent you a mail bro..
JBlaze - you got to e-mail me bro... paulclark@rocketmail.com..
we got some chitty chattin to do... lol..
Zen - the lead guitars to Buzzards are almost done....
I'm hoping to have them done real soon so I can start mixing within a week or two..

did I ever tell you that I played all of the rhythm guitar parts whilst my finger was still broken and in the cast??? I simply used the ones that were not broken.. lol...

webmaster jon - if we only got till the end of the year to vote....shouldn't we have that tab up now?

hey guys if you get bored over christmas try this site...its great lots of silly games like cow curling and one for blue moon where you get drunk and have to try to pee strait into a toilet....hehe that cracks me up....the more drinks you have the harder it is....although I am sure Blue Moon could probably win top prize...lol...oh that one is in the fun games and its called Pinkel-Speil

http://www.ichwillzocken.de/?index=5

But a really great fun one to watch is the one above that called line rider...its real simple you draw a line and this little man on a sledge rides your line....but you can get him jumping and loop looping and all sorts.....hehe and if he crashes bad his sledge crumples up!...lol its great fun! oh oh and worm warrier that is sooo funny you have this hammer and you bash worms but the funny thing is as they splat...their eyes bulge out!

oh oh and here is one for Clarky called Bier Jonglieren .....he even looks like you clarky....lol....you have to try to keep this bloke from spilling his beer!

Can't find one with guitars...there is a drum kit...oh and a few Alien games for JOE!

Oh has anyone seen the Joe Satriani Legendary Licks DVD its great....teaches you guitar and some of joes songs...its great coz the blokie goes in 2 toed Sloath time so you can actually see whats going on....hehe...hey remember on the Satch Tapes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsedggTLAvo

....the blokie Nigel Tufnal out of Spinal Tap saying that even when he slowed joe down he was still going too fast....lol

Amps to infinity!!!!!

Wisher - Good Try there mate on Always...I am sure you will get to meet him one day....its a great feeling!....oh and I don't think he will mind being called JOE!....lol

Zen:Ah, many moons pass, must reread Huxleys work, jeez that takes me back t nights lyin on the mountain trippin

Jason:Try it both ways, for me if sounded better after, smoother sound.Better t get a 9 volt adapter the Dod 250 is a pain in that way, no easy access t batt change & no LED.Also y,ll find when y open the back, i,ve rewired the cable for the batt connection back on, previously i had a norm female jack for multiple pedals hand wired t it, so just incase it doesnt work, have a check.Remember its not really an overdrive/distortion pedal, but it will boost your Ov/Dist sustain & help with the overall tone, enjoy bro
