Big Bunny - How bout posting a picture of your Steve Vai...let me see ...let me see!

FabLawyer of SBM - Hey good to see ya! Gaelic words look nothing like they sound...hmmm....you wanna try Polish....Russian....Welsh.....er well most languages! lol Big Congratulations to you...sounds like a memorable day....

Spaghetto - SATRIELLA : mean to make = it's positive matter? positive sense?

NO NO its not positive because it had DIDN'T in front of it.... in other words...la non mia intenzione di renderla difficile

Michelle - Wow thanks for the in-depth experience....the thing is there is no-where you can go when the whole ground is shaking....welll apart from a drunken stupour! lol

Satriella........ The reson for the fret with 2 markers is so that you know straight away you are at the 12fret without thinking about. All so all the notes on the 12th fret are an octave above the open string notes ie...... bottom E string open note (E) is the same note as playing bottom string (E) note on the 12th Fret.. its just an octave higher......

If anybody can explain it a bit better please do........

Hello Joe,

I've been a huge fan since Surfing With The Alien. Thanks for the steady stream of material you put out. I can't get enough of your guitar playing and song writing. I've only had the oportunity to see you live once and that was at the Pageant in St. Louis. But I enjoyed it very much. If you ever get the inkling to come back I for one would be there. I love the G3 DVD's also. I have a request that you put out a Christmas CD next holiday season of traditional tunes and originals. I love Christmas and the old standards and know that your interpretation on the guitar would be phenomanal! Also, I've played the guitar for a while now but feel I'm getting stagnat. Is there videos or books or anything you could recommend for an average intermediate player? Thanks for your time Joe. Keep on rockin'!!!!!!!!

Captain SteveBig Bummy - The loo is exactly where I'd like to be sitting when an earthquake struck, 'cause I would certainly crap myself!

Big Bummy! ;P~~~ he he at first i didn't pick up on that typo

scooba Satriella: Yeah i know BB's got a few in the artwork section, but i was refering to the ones she brought to show joe at the G3 meet and greet in perth, like i said there was this really amazing steve vai one. It looks really cool.

Big Bunny: Are those photos we got with him gonna be on this site or a seperate one? O_o and have you received a link in your email yet

hey scooba :) thanx for the kind words about my vai painting, were you the young guy who asked me about the painting? I did that one in 2000 & it's been in my art folder waiting for Mr Vai ;) Satch said he didn't mind passing it on to him which was cool - i didn't mean to make our main Guitar guy a postman O_o

i haven't recieved an email yet for our photos with Satch :/ hopefully we'll get the email soon!!

SatriellaBig Bunny - How bout posting a picture of your Steve Vai...let me see ...let me see!

Satriella this is the Vai painting scooba was talking about :) Steve Vai, acrylic on A2 art paper

Kitty 'mmm is that 100% acrylic i taste?'

BigBunny doesn't use grids for her paintings - it's all rough sketches & wacking on the paint!!

edit: Satriella - just incase your interested this is a painting i did of Zakk Wylde first one is just the rough sketch - 2nd starting with the painting - last one is the finished product :) the hardest thing about this painting was the photo i was working from was quite small (Total Guitar cover) and the light hitting Zakks face was O_o Zakk Sketch

adding paint

Zakk's done :)

Mini-Marathon

Has anyone ever run a marathon or half-marathon?

If so - do any training plans that you like and would like to share?

I am thinking about running a mini-marathon in April of next year - the time is now to start training.

Any ideas, thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

yes, you can buy those silly allen keys, wrenches or whatever almost everywhere, the thing is you have to know the size... i bought a set that looks like a pocket knife and comes with 10 different sizes, so that worked out for me just fine!

Check it out! Finally finished customizing one of my RG's. The custom marble swirl pickguard and matching truss rod cover just came in yesterday. I installed a Dimarzio PAF PRO in the neck and a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge. There is no middle p-up, I couldn't get the pickguard as a H/H for some reason. So, I stuffed the middle single coil spot with a tissue and covered the back side of the middle coil spot with electrical tape(2 pieces so the one side isn't sticky if you touch it.) I didn't want there to be an empty open hole, so that worked and looks good. I also installed a 3-way CRL switch, I just need a black tip for it. I'll post some clips when I get to it.
