I'm on a guitar magazine-buying spree again. Got to limit my budget this time :-)

It's getting hot in here...

2 TON TESSIE - my guitar setup is embarassing ATM:

Ernie Ball Music Man Axis (the guitar is awesome - going to get me some ClearTone strings to try out, and probably a metal pick) --> Digitech RP2000 multi-effects (not so great, used only as a pre-amp and for a little coloring here and there) --> M-Audio Audiophile 2496 (good card, when it works... had some strange problems lately) --> Tracktion 2 (really good software) --> multiple free effects found on KVRAudio.com (favorite is the JCM900 simulator for distortion, though it's a CPU hog...) --> Yamaha PSR-290 keyboard (used only as a MIDI controller) for drums, bass, pads, etc.)) --> cheap Sony headphones (probably need to replace these, as I'm sure they're contributing to screwing up my mixes)

I don't own an amp, though I'm hoping to win the Mini Colossal. I've always borrowed them from my bandmates when I was in a band. Now I just get to play late at night and very early in the morning due to lots of commitments, so headphones are really my only option.

Conch - Thanks for sharing that tawdry message to Monterrey Trace with us. Not that it matters a jot, but I had been giving a certain person the benefit of the doubt. I can't imagine T Bone being called jealous (or a bitch) very often, she's one of the nicer persons here. I wonder what that person's first language is, it doesn't appear to be English (or American!).

Cubazoid - Special? Indeed. As in 'special needs'?

slanshroom - nice setup? You must be joking. Can I play everything I feel in just one note? I think I did once. I wrote a song about a girl I met at a soup kitchen back in high school (we were both volunteers, btw, not actually eating at it...). We hit it off well, and I got her phone number and called her and she called me back a few times. But I froze up to actually ask her on a date. I remember sitting there one day after calling her with the phone still in my hand for a while, just frustrated at myself. I started a song about the deal on piano, then finished it up about 10 years later with some guitar. The last note of the song is a desperate scream. I don't like the song very much listening to it now, but that last note captures exactly everything about my frustration with myself. You asked :-)

"if i strip you of said amp etc ..could you reproduce it on an acoustic?"

Oh hell no. I'm not Joe :-)

WooHoo Gruskada !!!!!!!

Good to see another Satch fan playing Ernie Ball's.....

Gotta Love American made when it comes to quality guitars.

Just have to convince Satch to join the Ernie Ball team sure they would love him on board but probably wont happen seeing as Joe is an Ibanez man thru and thru......

Missing ya heaps downunder Satch have been going to sleep to Is There Love In Space the last week personal opinion but would have to be one of your best albums...
Think i will always have a soft spot for the album being it was the first concert i ever seen live in the flesh and to be front row watching you belt out those riffs and solo's is a memory i will cherish forever.....

Wuv ya heaps Satch ya buddy always Jamie Melbourne Oz..

Wooow ! I'm already in my summer vacation !

Slans congrats for your new job. You see, I'll be out of Barca for the next three weeks. Galicia might not be as green as Scotland, but it's better than here.

Will the box set be waiting for me in the music shop when I come back ? Probably not yet released here

well i thought this board was idifferent place...i guess its all the same..its easy to attack people who may have won but coudnt afford to go...and its a crime to want to sell it. well thats your opinions. I can afford more than many of you but that doesnt matter, You want my tickets and thats the root to your comments...what i sent to cheese 101 was well deserved. Dislaiming an insult to me with a congratulations works with the weak minded. And your attempt to get my tickets through bashing what i felt was my right and assuming im not a great fan that deserves it...just shows the kind of people you are. I posted it here because i felt you guys deserved first chance. I definately made a mistake in judgement. Ill be at the show, and a good friend will be there with me . you opinions really mean nothing but i need to clarify the stupid assumtions made by supposed reputable members here. LOL

Hey! I resent that! There ain't no reputable people here!! Just us!

Deal is dude, a simple clarification to cheese would have been sufficient. You stooped to name calling, so check yerself before you check anybody else. As far as I'm concerned, you can stick those tickets up yer ass sideways - twice. I know chee and I know she's happy for all the winners - well, maybe not you anymore, but that's no sweat offa anyone's nads now is it?

It's all gravy at the end of the day. Have a nice flight. Enjoy the show, but just know, lmao, there is NO jealousy here bro. None a'tall.
