Hey Joe. im 13 and live in NZ. Ive been playing guitar for a while and am in a band at school. I have a 2007 Ibanez magazine and my guitar looks like and older version of the SA2160FM HS, if you have seen it =) I just brought your Live in San Francisco DVD and i sat their wondering... is he human! You are one of a kind. I love all of your music. Weldone to Eric, Jeff and Stu and all the others who have played in a band with you. Anyway I have a few questions about the DVD to ask and i hope I dont bore you ;)
I noticed Stu gets booed alot and you say "they stu him cos they love him" =). im guessing is it a setup?
I also noticed you flick your picks into the crowd, i reckon it makes the show even better, making the crowd go wilder!!
Thanks for readin this Joe and itd be great to get a reply =)
PS: Id really love to have one of your picks =D Rock on!

I guess the webmaster over at the Planet Waves forum saw my question about exactly what the Chrome Dome picks were ;-)
I got a batch of Ultex Jazz III's. Best picks I ever played with! I looooooove those things!

Keniko - site loaded fine for me on the mac. didn't have time to look any further than that.
many folks - yeah, it's a bummer that the surfingwiththealien.com contest is limited, but that's what the legal system does to various big companies like sony. as you know, whenever we do contests here on SATRIANI.COM we do our best to make it as wide open as possible!
contest winners! - i think i may do the random drawing tonight around midnight, for those who just can't wait and want to know ASAP. i'll probably hang out in the chat when i do it.

Sorry for my french, but what is all this crap?
http://www.surfingwiththealien.com/ :> only US residents?
Pre-ordering the new release with signed booklet is also out of the question..like usual
Try to order the Satriani t shirt on peavey dear European friends and you will get owned for the shipping price
I can go on forever with this exclusive, 'no euopeans' wanted list...
Sorry Joe, but you are leaving all your european fans out in the cold, again!
I wonder why I even thought about participating the special private concert, and even willing to spend 1200 $US just to fly over
I must be insane
A very dissapointed fan...

hey joe,
i am new here but not a new fan of your's. If you ever happen to read this message of mine and actually reply it, please tell me, how do you make the guitar a live thing? it cries, sings, shrieks and does almost anyhting you want. You take me into an entirely different world altogether. Whether i am ill, down or happy, you make me afloat. And whoever i introduce you to, he becomes a fan! I hope you will take my notice someday. I went crazy when i heard you in Kolkata

Congrats to the studio gig winners, you lucky lucky people
Roffler - I haven't used any of those companies (yet), but go over to jemsite and search for threads on that topic. Plenty under the JS Models area. You'll get an idea of who's good, who isn't, price etc. You'll be able to contact people there who've had work done to get more info too
Gruskada - nice site, good work! A 'transcription' of the intro on flying would be great, good luck
Satriella - hello : )
Cube - I had a 'chrome dome' type pick years ago when I got my first guitar, probably still got it (the pick) somewhere. I remember they didn't get rid of the sharp edges on it though, so it was great for scrapes etc, but use it mildly hard on the strings and it just sliced them.... I stopped using it pretty quick : )
Joe - are you using the chrome dome exclusively now or just taking your pick (see what I did there) from the JS signature range?
Maxi Magnet - for a minute there I was confused... I didnt remember offering help to any magnets LOL but thanks for clearing it up. No apology required & happy to look at it if you need me to in case I can shed any light on it.
Have a good weekend all

Hi Joe! I'm sure you've been asked before, but any chance of Ibanez putting your 7 string prototype into production? Probably not I guess since they have a pretty good 7 string line up already, but it would be very cool if they did. What pickups do you have in that baby? Take care.
