Joe Satrini/BadNomad:thx a mill lads, one of the main reasons i avoided strats & single coil acoustic pickups was for that uncontrolable 60 cycle hum, infact it damn near got me fired from a previous band after 3 bad soundin gigs

I used t have a nemisis acoustic single coil on which although had godly tone had this hellish prob, i was left no choice but t trade in my old Korg X3 sequencer for the fishman humbucker, which worked but didnt come close t the other pickup tone, infact fishman bought out Nemisis i think?

If i,m not mistaken this is such a revolutionary idea, we,ll be seeing a lot more single coil guitars & pickups on acoustic guitars than ever b4

The best ideas are simple once again thx lads

thanks everyone...hope you enjoyed the pics.

The Show was awesome in a place the size of a med sized movie theater. Joe really made the show personal with great stories behind recording and performing these songs which you will all get to see in the fall when they release the video. I dont wanted to ruin the interesting comments from Joe so you will have to wait. Though his sense of humor and ease at the mike made it fun and interesting. When i see Joe play, i have to shake my head to actully believe i was seeing it all from 8 ft away. As always he was on top of his game and made special efforts to play some signature solos parts exactly. He clearly went over the album to remenis with some old solos/parts. Heres a few more Jems...over 50 more good one of over 200 taken..as you can see...i was very close. Chicago and LA are in for some treat!!! As for SF, i still cant even imagine it.

Hi, It's my first message here so i don't know wat goes arround. First i'd like to say that i'm started to listen to guitar music ( just started about 1 year) and i'm sure that Joe's music is the best of all. I have orded all the cd's of Joe and i find theme great!!! Even all the dvd's including The G3 with Steve Vai (also a master)are in my posesion. Is it true that Steve Vai had lessons from Joe? And second what do i have to do to get a signed photo of Joe? Please let me know,

Sorry for all the mistakes i have written

Wifey, you weren't belated. It was yesterday . Thanks!

roffler, I took some pics of Joe with different hats on. We alll know how he loves his hats. lol! Thanks for the bday wishes.

climber, 4 huh? Doesn't sound to bad that way. lol! I never mind saying my age. A lot of people never make it this far, so it's all gravy. Not to be a bummer, but when I was 28 with 2 small kids, my neighbor Brenda who lived across the street who was also 28 with 2 little girls passed away from cancer. Every year is a gift, and to be pissy about getting older is just silly (not that you were pissy at all, I'm just sayin'). The other option is not to get older, so I'd shout it from the mountains if I could. Do I wish I could look and feel like I did 20 years ago - hell yeah!! lol! No denying that! lol!

Joe Satrini, thanks. It's a great present - funny as hell too!

the NYC hot was hot in more than one way, we had the pleasure of Dave Martone's & Rob Balducci's company during the show.....great show Joe "Still Killer After All These Years"

As always you were a kind considerate Genlteman backstage....thanks for the compliment on my Tan, and no I'm not a Lifeguard.....lmao

(Disclaimer-some of these words were edited by Mikesb)

Dave Martone invited us up to catch his show on 44th St...after Joe's where he added his touch class to classic rock tunes that his Berkley Buddies were churning out....great time had by all!

Hey Joe, thats a good name for a song...........Just saw the show at The Gramercy Theater. I was amazed at your timing, dexterity and accuracy. I have a question...How do you stay so cool while playing so fast ? I was sweating just tapping my feet to the great tunes ! Thanks for a great show Joe ..and a great time. The line wrapped around the block and everyone was so psyched to see and hear you play ! I bought that album 20 years ago and the music is still fresh ! Thanks Joe ! The chair blew me away !

If anyone going to the LA show wants to meet up ahead of time, drop me an email. I'll be leaving at noon or so tomorrow, so you have until then.

If not, find me in line and stop by and say hi. I should be there fairly early (4 p.m.?), and I'll probably be eating pizza from the Rainbow while I'm waiting.

The Decade age thing was something I would tease my wife with before we were married. A lot of laughs!
I never realy cared about how old I am (46). I live in the moment , the now, and plan for the future. When it's time to go it's time to go! Looking at the positive things, it's been a great ride.
When some one tells me they're afraid to die, I give them this realization... "Nothing lives here for ever! Even the Stars in the universe Pass away".

biezebaazeroadie - Yes, Steve Vai took lessons from Joe. I think the story goes that Steve and a friend took lessons together and split the cost - $5 or something like that. I think I remember reading that Steve wasn't even interested in taking guitar lessons, and the friend talked him into it. But Joe and Steve grew up in the same place in New York, and went to the same high school.

Best way to get an autographed photo of Joe? I assume the best way would be to meet him and ask him to sign one for you, but the easiest way would be eBay. Joe signs TONS of stuff for people, so the prices on eBay are usually pretty reasonable, as his autographs aren't really that rare.

gfonseca - Does your vinyl copy of Not Of This Earth have an etching on the record? I remember reading somewhere that Joe had some sort of inscription burned onto some of the records. Can't remember where I saw that, though.

Satriella - Yeah, fruit on the amp making it sound different?? Kinda strange...

BTW, does anyone have a good question or two for me to ask Steve Vai when I meet him in Philly? I thought I had a few good ones, but then I looked at the "Questions that have been asked to death" section on Vai's forums, and all my "unique" questions were there. For as much as I like his music, I don't know much about him at all...
