Holy crap! Even Stevie gad damn Wonder can play drums better than me!! lol! He's also the Grand Marshall of tonight's NASCAR race.
Mari, HERE is the story about your friends killer. What an evil person! I hope karma takes care of him - and a big dude names Cleetus! Thanks for the b-day wishes. This is why I never complain about and am proud of my age - cause some people never make it this far. May Monica rest in peace.
Here's one from BONZO. I love this tune but only have it on an album. I blew so many speakers with Zeppelin, I know if I had this on cd I'd do some serious damage. LOL!
Sandy, Black Betty gets me fired up every time! lol!

Satriella - my uncle used to own a bowling alley, and when he closed it up, he gave me all of his 45 singles from his jukebox. All of those songs became the soundtrack to my youth (pre-teen, anyway).
The ones I remember the most are "Runaway" by Del Shannon, "The Banana Boat Song" (I think it was Harry Belafonte's version), and some amazing instrumental sax stuff with the label rubbed off (the only text I could read on it, ironically, said "GONE"). It was the coolest thing I had heard at the time (pre Joe and The Forgotten (part 2)) - the record even looked cool - black with silver lettering. I can still sing every note of it, and I probably haven't heard it in over 20 years.
EDIT - ugh, just did some research - "GONE" was the record label. Makes it a bit tougher to figure out...
Not sure why you couldn't reach my site, btw. It works fine for me, but sometimes the hosting company has some temporary problems...

mark starts almost SRV-ey, then when the gain increases it's kinda like kotzen. nice.
mom thanks for the stevie clip! every time i see him he's having such a good time! an inspiration :) and the blindness thing... i have no f'n idea. breathtaking. perhaps it's not a "disability" at all. perhaps it's an "extrability"...

Hi,
Have just joined, just wanted to say how much your music has helped me through the trauma of a serious motorbike accident, leaving me unable to play my much loved Js 1000 Blackpearl, probably for ever. Shit happens! Had just finished learning "The crush of love" still at least I had the chance to play it.Keep up the good work, the live album is mindblowing.Make sure you come to England soon!

Sandy, what takes me to my way back youth - Iron Butterfly In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, anything by Janis Joplin (especially Mercedes Benz), Sly & The Family Stone & Rare Earth, Chuck Berry's My Ding-A-Ling (my dad had fun with that song), and about a hundred more. What takes me back to my teen years - AC/DC Back in Black (and all ac/dc), Neil Young The Needle and the Damage Done, Old Man, Don't Let it Bring You Down it's only castles burning..., Billy Thorpe Children of the Sun, Van Halen Eruption, Led Zeppelin, Edgar Winter Frankenstein, The Who Behind Blue Eyes & anything from Tommy, Black Sabbath Into The Void, Children of the Grave and all of Master of Reality...
This list can go on forever! I grew up with music being such a big part of my life it's hard to narrow anything down. Black Betty takes me back to when my sis and ex bro in law were starting their family. He would hear the song come on the radio and he'd dance like a fool. I thought for sure he's bust a knee cap, which made it even funnier.

My husband was going through the stuff stored in the garage this AM and found Guitar Player issue dated February 1988 with Joe on the cover and a 33 of Power Cosmic and The Crush of love in it. Joe, you look cute even with your hair. Also Guitar from July 1988 with Joe and Kirk Hammett. Both in great condition! I guess being a packrat pays off sometimes.
