There will always be room for 2 Glasses Of Wine!
When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24
hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 glasses of wine...
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in
> front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very
large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf
balls.
> He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it
was.
> The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into
> the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the
open
>areas
> between the golf balls.
>
> He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed
it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the
> jar, of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with
an unanimous "yes."
The professor then produced two glasses of wine from under the
table
> and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling
the
empty
space between the sand.
The students laughed.
"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to
> recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are
the
>important things; your family, your children, your health, your
friends,
>and your favourite passions; things that if everything else was lost
>and only they remained, your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your
house, and your car.
The sand is everything else; the small stuff.
> If you put the sand into the jar first , " he continued, "there is
no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
> The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on
the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are
> important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Make time for your family, Play with your
children.Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner.
Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and
>
fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first; the things that
really
>matter.
>Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."
> One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the wine
> represented.
>The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you
that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for
a
>couple
> of glasses of wine with a friend.
"Please share this with a friend. I JUST DID

lourdeOhocusts - yeah, I'd love to hear The Forgotten, part 2 live as well. Joe answered a question of mine (through Austin Lewis) about why he doesn't play that song live:
"...we played it and the whole set tanked right there. It was such a downer ... and it just sounded clunky without that rigid tempo. So I said this is another song that's cursed [along with Crushing Day] - I should never do that again." - Kikkerfest.com fan interview Webcast with Austin Lewis
They did play it live a few times (opening for Steve Miller in Reno), and something always went wrong with it (tempo being ramped up by the rest of the band, etc.). Supposedly there's a low-quality boot of one of the performances somewhere, but I've yet to hear it.
But, Joe now plays Crushing Day live, so there is hope...
BTW, if you didn't already know, the background on that song is fascinating:
"'The Forgotten' is a song about the multitude of people who die of intense tragedy, more specifically of famine. Whole generations are completely lost... The story specifically related to when I was on the Jagger tour. Late at night I was playing, and this program came on TV about people starving to death. 'The Forgotten (part two)' was my reaction to the whole thing." - Guitar Magazine, March 1990.
To me, it's the best song written by any artist in any time period, and it's very saddening that Joe doesn't want to play it live.

So I though "Why don't I connect my 150 watt crate to my PC 2.1 speakers!!Yeah that will do the trick!
The outcome was a home made fuzz box yeah!
So I'm left with no speakers and no gear...I'll just stick with finger excersises for now...

I'm still listening to your exstensive library! I'm faving on "Crazy" from Time Machine. Your best vocal song to date.......well all the vocal songs are cooool.
Kayla: I put together my old Yamaha RGX 211. I had planed to make a doubleneck outta it with the matching one Steven owned. he sold it when he was hard up for cash at the time. Now with this one I have I had to fill in the holes for the other set of tuners I drilled, and replace some parts and screws.....voia-la....another trem guitar to play!!!! I have the same pickup in the bridge that you have on your "Pro" only black. It sounds great!!

Nice Joe endorsement from Micheal Fath:
"You’ve got to be playing melodies that are just great. That's why I think [Joe] Satriani is so freakin’ popular. He writes very catchy tunes. I’m not going to say he’s one of my favorite guitarists, but he is one of my favorite musicians. He writes better than anybody or as well as anybody in terms of what we do. Compositionally I rate him the best."
