Hey michelle, punkdude75 and all other fawning VH minions: Take it from me; they [b]WERE[b] the shit back in the 1970s when the Southern California Van Club would hire them for block parties and such. They were untouchable at the Pasadena Civic in 1977. They even held there own into the 80s with EVH being the glue. However, musically - that isn't the case anymore. I know you're probably gnashing your teeth right about now, and that's okay, but get past it. I finally did. And that was tough being as I was a savage (maybe one of the fiercest) & fawning VH minion too.

I am studying 3d animation, motion graphics and visual effects and I would like to ask your permission to use some footage of you playing starry night. I am developing a project and I am a huge fan of yours. My concept is to texture the footage to look like metallic chrome, glass, sand and dust and then create special effects, transforming you and the guitar into different shapes and materials, telling the story of a starry night.

So, I would like to ask you for your permission and I would be humbly honored and excited about creating this vision I have. This would be for artistic purposes only, serving as my final project for the program and as a way to tell a story and show my skills.

T-Bones, have a great time at band rehersal today. You really need to tell Oregon to do something about those passes. They seem to be a real kick in the pants. You need to move to PA. No passes here - and plenty of band practice! lol! My jaw is still hurting on the right side. Hope my hinges aren't ruined! Having yer jaw jacked open for an hour and a half kinda puts a hurtin' on ya. lol!

aussiejason, thanks. They've actually improved since they recorded those 2 songs. The drummer seems to be focusing more now, and has more time to practice, so it's all gelling pretty well.

Another fine product from China - anybody else's county being "invaded" by stink bugs?

I had one fly in my car the other day. I felt something bounce off my arm and thought it was a bee. I turned to look, and there was an ugly stink bug on the inside of my door. It flew around and landed on my dashboard, jumped around for a few seconds, then found the window and flew out. By that time I was in the turning lane (I didn't not need to turn, I was going straight) headed for a parking lot so I could throw it in park and bail. lol! I friggin hate bugs! I must admit, I was VERY happy it wasn't a bee. lol! Needless to say, I drove the rest of the way with the AC on and the windows UP. lol!
