I just got my JS-1000 , best guitar EVER!!! So, you're working on the new album? Great ! ...and you need a name for it? ehmmm...

We can help you. Maybe you should make it a contest??? well, I'll help you anytime, anyway ;-)

potencial names: Shave'n'Shred. Shredshavers. (you told us one of your studioworkers shaved his head for the project. therefor I thought of names with shaved heads in it). hey,,, maybe that's the title ? Shaved heads ? staight and no bull... right ?

I'll come back with more names if it's all right?

see you soon :-) -NORWAYs-

Hi Joe,

I'm working on a scholarly project on your music. At this point, it looks like a series of essays, but might become a book under the right conditions. Basically, I'm interested in how your instrumental music creates meaning, both on the compositional side (ie. what the pieces might mean to you when they are created) and on the audience side (how an audience might hear various meanings in the music itself). The project is in its infancy right now, but I'm presenting the first project (on meaning in Ice Nine) to my colleagues at the end of the month. If you're interested at all, I do have some questions that I'd appreciate your perspective on.

And to the rest of the list, I'm going to be putting together a listing of all the interviews with or articles about Joe and his music that have appeared in the last 20 years. I'd appreciate any insight you have on rare sources or things published locally that might not have appeared in the usual trade guitar/music magazines.

Thanks.

Geoff.

Joe

i saw you at the G3 tour in L.A in march. If you don't recall, i was the lucky fan who met herman Li and got a free backstage pass from him in order to meet you to give you a purple pick i had.

Anyways, i had an idea for your next album. you can take this idea as either an album cover, or just a symbol. my cousin and i thought about it, and we think that you should try this: take your left hand and bend the top half of your middle, ring, and pinky finger. after that, bend your thumb upward just a bit, forming a perfect J. I saw it, and immediatley thought of you, Joe satriani, J.

I can't wait to see you again Joe. Your album will another epiphany which will elate me to another level of music. i have great amount of respect for you. Hopefully another g3 tour will happen soon as well.
