You know you live in 2008 when...

1.) You accidentally enter your password on a microwave.

2.) You haven't played solitare with real cards for years

3.) The reason for not staying in touch with your friends is they dont have a screenname or my space

4.) You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead of just pushing the buttons on the TV

6.) Your boss doesn't even have the ability to do your job.

7.) As you read this list you keep nodding and smiling.

8.) As you read this list you think about sending it to all your friends.

9.) And you were too busy to notice number 5.

10.) You scrolled back up to see if there was a number 5.

11.) Now you are laughing at yourself stupidly.

12.) Put this in your profile if you fell for that, and you know you did

Thanks to 'Guitarmeister' and 'Keniko' for the posts about the DS-1 issue. Here's a thought; music theory- should we bother? 'Cos it works for some (no prizes for guessing who I mean) and not for others (me). Any thoughts?! :-)

@ Igneousiceman,

Music theory: I think you owe it to yourself.

I'm very partial to it.

I think what makes some people exceptional is largely the way they compose music and understand music, and theory (and harmony etc) gives a lot of scope for exploring that.

For instance... although Joe is an exceptionally gifted guitarist, I'm not in awe of his guitar playing as much as I am of his creativity. That's the part that makes me go "wow!"

Learning everything you can about music also makes you progress exponentially on your instrument.

wooley....yes, I saw that about Guitar Center stores offering the package....I wish there was a store closer to me so I could get it on April 1st. I keep hoping there will be a way to pre-order it though, and save on the nerves trying to find it later. The closest Guitar Center to me is about an hour and a half drive away....on a work day...so that doesn't sound too good. But maybe something else will come up.

I just realized we have to change our clocks tonight/tomorrow, it's daylight savings time already. We lose an hour tomorrow...I'm in such a fog most of the time I don't think it will affect me much anyway. From under the covers, time doesn't much matter.

But don't forget to push your clocks ahead an hour or you'll be late for whatever on Sunday.....

Zen:Because Jeff Beck also has amazing technique ie his own, the best players own these techniques, everyone else that copys just fades t gray, its all about self actualization

For me however there are 2 gods of melody, Joe & Neal Schon, infact i,d love t see Neal make a guest appearance sometime, the man is awesome

Hi Joe & you all !

Cheese , Good news about Chris , prayers work. I could buy a copy of the new cd / dvd at the guitar center for ya and send it to you. I will be getting one there so would not be any trouble. Also my wife and I are looking forward to meeting you and Chris in person at the GC here. You are welcome to stay with us if you are overnighting in Portland?

I saw Johnny Winter a couple weeks ago in a small venue. He's a great musician and I enjoyed his set. The drug abuse really took a toll on him physically, I pray he can be with us for many more years.

Joe , are you a fan of J.W. ? here is the pics
