Matt K.....u know....u might need cheese rehab :)

All joking aside though, carpal tunnel is nuthin to mess around with....there are stretching exercises you can do to try to help, and braces you can wear...although I know you can't wear them when you play guitar....but...check into it. Stuff might help put off surgery a little longer. Oooo and maybe cheese sammiches make it worse? ;)

Snakes Joe??? Umm.....

Sandy...hope things are going well for you with all your changes. For me....time has stopped. Need to keep my head above water, but also need to find a way to actually care that it's above water, if you understand. Kind of at a point of....life is going to do whatever it wants to me, and I'm not expecting anything good anymore.

Wooleyman, no, still don't have any cd/dvd sets ordered, don't know where to get them...do you? Other than from the UK I mean, which I don't want to have to pay the extra costs...any ideas?

ooo Wooleyman, thanks for the info, I just ordered my copies....I missed that link this morning because, just like you said, I always have my speakers turned up full volume and so try to cruise past the opening page here really fast before I'm blasted, LOL......so I missed it. Hmmm, maybe better think about turning my speakers down a tetch?

It's nice that we have a preorder link through the homepage now. I've also looked at CD Universe and they have both versions of the album listed, which makes me think the special edition will be fairly easy to come by (at least initially).

I'll hold out and hope that I can find that version at Best Buy on 4/1.

Phydeaux_3 - Yes, wolf2's posts have always been like this. I skim them, but I've stopped reading word for word.

I haven't been around much during the past two years or so, but I don't think anyone has ever been banned from satriani.com.

cheese101 - Not to make your situation seem less than it is, but a lot of the open questions you've posed here over the last day or two are some of the ones Neil Peart talks about in Ghost Rider. So definitely read that (go buy it...today!), and then maybe move on to his other three books depending on what you like about this one. The other ones are The Masked Rider, about a bicycle trip he took in West Africa in the late 80s; Traveling Music, which is almost like an autobiography; and Roadshow, about life on the road with Rush.

As an aside, I had an aftershow pass to last year's G3 show in L.A. and I had a very nice conversation with Joe, Jeff, and Mick about Roadshow. It was really cool to talk to them about something non-Satch related for a change...haha.

Clarky- Yeah I like the German 6th. Sorry I didn't reply sooner I just got an Ovation doubleneck and haven't had the time to type. I'm really slow. At typing anyway. I've been working on the solo from Blue Bossa as played by Robert Conti. It's quite different from the way I normally play. When I get bored I like to learn things I normally don't play like bluegrass licks, Norah Jones stuff, classical parts, and then I'll get sick of that and go back to shreading. As far as the mode thing goes it's just too much typing for me. But I agree you'll get a better grip by playing against a root tone and comparing the different intervals each mode has. I just don't have the ass to type it all out.

Maritime- Thanks for the Paul Gilbert info. Man I love hearing that guy and I'm ready for some new stuff. If I listen to Radiator one more time I think my CD player will explode.

Well I hope everyone in Satchland Is doing well. I'm off to abuse my doubleneck. Particularly the 12 string. It's been very naughty. When I got it home it was way out of tune. I think the dude at the pawnshop where I had it on layaway had been playing it. Now it must suffer my wrath for it's infedelities. Later y'all.

Austin / Cheese - yeah, everything is fine personally. I just don't use this account anymore, and was an idiot and posted my real name on the bottom of almost every post, and ran into some problems because of it. Using the name "gruskada" was a bad idea, too.

Thanks for asking.

so webmaster, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could delete my account and all postings, etc.

Wizards Eye:Funny y should mention Blue Bossa, i play a screwed up Emily Remler version of it on my cd, except i changed the bossa rhythm aka bass on the 1 & 3 beat rhy on 2 & 4 for a fingerpicked idea & extended it onto a track i wrote called Phoenix st, trouble was it wasnt f++ked up enough lol so as i play most of the time now clean tone & i wanted a call answer solo thang with dirt guit i asked Clarky is he would rec a couple filth guitar solos on the track, which he did & jolly well stuck the royal fingey right up the jazz police crowds arse which made slan a happy bunny indeed, nothin like breakin the rules when ya know em

You can hear the track on my space btw have fun with the Ovation

Thanks Slan, I'll check it out. Whoever owned the Ovation before me must not have played it much. The finish still smells new and it's given me one hell of a headache. Apart from that it's damn near flawless and plays like a dream. I love leaving open strings to ring on the 12 and soloing on the 6 and vice versa. I think later I'll try some open tunings on the 6 and see what I can come up with on the 12. Later

Hi!

In first, sorry for my english I have one question. Music of Joe is greatest for me. She is very compatible with dynamic videos, they i made. Please, give me one permission for using one Joe's track in my amateurish video.

A distance between ours land is great, but i very respect Joe and have high morality. I can't use his tracks without Your permission.

Pleeeese! One little track about auto driving!

Matt - lmao ... stalker... lol... right now I'm really working hard on the Curse of the 9th music.. all blood and snot stuff... lots of fun though...
in one way it's kind of a shame about CoE cos it was a good band... but then in another sense maybe it's not such a bad thing. CoE were always a little too 'Satch-ish'.. everything was done really well.. really polished.. but the thing that was missing was the band having a really unique voice...
what's your new stuff like?? I'm all interested to see how you've evolved.. is it still instrumental or is there vocals going on??
I'm looking forward to hearing this stuff......

on the carpel thing... have you spoken to a specialist that understands the needs of a pro muso??

canchito - no probs bro... if it helps... there is a tutorial about intervals on my main website... maybe this will help you..
satriella - lol..... no... I just decided that I've been away from here for way too long.. I needed to "come back home"...
got your text.. but I've lost my phone today so I can't reply... e-mail me you number so I can put it in my new phone - when I get it...
slan - oh I so know that "run from the gear" vibe... makes you want to smash it to junk sometimes don't it... but you know that won't make it better... lol...
If I were to write a complete dissertation called "The Slan Method", it'd have a great big warning on the front saying:
"do not try this at home, in anyone else's home, or in fact anywhere at all"
then it'd parallel Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy
The Book - so you think you're fast? you think you're really vastly hugely mindboglingly fast? that's peanuts to Slan... and so on... lol..
Capn Steve - you're not cynical, you're bang on...
and even if you had the rig of your hero with every dial set the same, you'll still not sound the same....
so keep parting with all them dollars and keep sounding different... lol..
and this is sort of the reason that my Morgans are not sig guitars... they are simply guitars I helped design - and something similar with my Bulldog pups....
blue moon - nice job on the vid.... very cool.... and it's nice to see a back to front guitar being played the right way around... lol..
