Thanks for the "welcome back" notes...it's nice to be here again.
Man, tonight was such a stressful one at work. I just had a relaxing weekend but I'm already in need of another...::sigh::
Let's see...I do have to say that I Just Wanna Rock is catchy. I haven't been listening to it too often, but it's been stuck in my head for most of the past two days. So that's cool.
But I also have to say that the small clips of other songs I've heard in the welcome video and the Vox Satchurator video blow IJWR away. So I'm feeling pretty good album the album. And about the pedal, well, MORE is awesome.
bluebuffalo - Cool...is I On U still Neal Schon's newest solo album? I love that one...Taken There is excellent.
Have you heard of Explosions In The Sky by any chance? I don't know how popular they'd be to Satch fans...they're instrumental; the band is three guitarists and a drummer. I listened to two of their CDs as I was driving near Santa Barbara. The ocean was to my left and the sun was coming over the hills to my right...beautiful.
...Austin...

@ Wizards Eye,
SuperStrings you're obviously from the U.K. What can you tell me about the Dulwich Picture Gallery? This guy says he want's me to be his U.S. representative. I know It's an email scam because I checked out the gallery and they don't sell anything. Is this a common thing in the U.K.?
Actually I'm "in" the UK but I'm not "from" the UK, and although I've been here a very long time, although I am "integrated" and although my son has a British accent, even though I know London better than Paris ("my" capital), I've never been even close to the Dulwich Gallery, I don't know what they're about or what they do or not do. Sorry!
Email scams are common in the UK but normally they're not initiated here, we receive them from Nigeria. I get them once in a while, like "sorry but could we temporarily place £10 000 000 on your account? Just for three days? We'll give you £3 000 000 for your trouble". Or "our records show that you are the last living relative of Nabango Olawotto, who died in a tragic plane accident. Since he did not leave a will, you are entitled to an inheritance of £25 000 000 (25 million). Please supply us with your bank account number, blah blah blah..."
I love them. Now you have to see this, and everyone else really must see it. I promise you will laugh til it hurts, til you cry. It's an internet game: scamming the scammers. There are lots of stories like that, but with this one you will almost piss yourselves laughing. It's called "the tale of the painted breast":

Fingers crossed, buddy. Wish you well.
Joe, very catchy indeed. IJWR keeps turning arround and arround my head. Can't wait to hear the whole thing. If it's so varied as you say, it'll be a great album. I love "Super Colossal", so it's a challenge to keep the standard.

Clarky - in da house. Darn, so much talent m8, not only do you play like a demon, so much knowledge! S'just not fair LOL Hmm, plays like a demon and in depth musical knowlegde... remind anyone someone else around here (aside fron Slansh, Stevee T, Cube, etc.. I mean)?
Satriella - your post was "Talk to me?" You not heard of that song then? It's by this amazing guitar player....
Blue Moon - try this. Just be advised that you can't recover files to the disk you're searching. But as you're searching a memory card should be fine - set it to search the card and recover to C:\ - good luck recovery program
Joe - great track, thanks for the podcast and updates.
Webby - great work as always

Getting a replacement JS1200 next week. Since I ranted on here about the bad one, I thought I'd put this in the stream of consciousness.
People at the shop were super nice, agreed that there was a problem and even asked if I wanted to keep this one until the new one arrives. Which I didn't.
I'm still enthusiastic about the JS. I got used to its shape (it's just so natural), its shape fits me better than the RG's. With the smaller distance between the trem unit and the end of the body, the JS neck seems shorter even though the string lentgh is the same, and for a small guy like me it's good when playing in the first positions. I will always prefer the J.Custom neck and the old Wizard neck (pre-Wizard II), but for everything else the JS is superb for me. I even liked the way it sounded unplugged and the pickups are superb.
I just hope the next one will have all the same qualities, and no defect(s).

Alrighty then... I "took one for the team". I just pre-ordered the new album.. which in my world means that it WILL leak any minute now. I couldn't stands to wait no longer. So when you see it hit the Pirate Bay or whatever this afternoon you'll know who to thank for it. Narf! (Obviously you all know I'm joking, right?)
Anyways, long time.. no see. Good to be back, it's been too long. I've been spending all my days listening to Buckethead lately... my gawd that boy is talented.
smooches,

Mom update.....
Surgery went well, she went home the day after. Lots of pain right now, and pain meds keep her pretty groggy. She thinks it's dinner time when she's just had breakfast =/ And very little appetite. Hopefully every day will get a little better and she'll need less and less pain medication. I go take care of them after work and on the weekends, so at least they have some help.
Chris is recovering really well, no problems.
Thanks again EVERYONE for your caring and concern, prayers and good thoughts. Maybe life will calm down a little bit now? Ooo maybe I shouldn't say that....
Last week we had springy weather and today.....snow. Sigh.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Do The Stu: listened to some Explosions In The Sky, it was nice man. I can see what you were talking about having the ocean on one side and them playing. I year or so ago some high school kids turned me on to Mars Volta, although, some of their songs do get a bit nerve wracking, that's what these guys reminded me of.

MJK, the chorus to I just wanna rock says "Matt is your dentist!". Have a listen and you'll agree. lol!
You're gonna need more schooling if you wanna be my dentist. lol! Actually, my dentist's name is Melissa, and she went to college in Pittsburg with Dan Marino. lol! She says the thing she remembers about him is he is way tall. lol! He was older than her, so she didn't really know him, just knew who he was. There's a fact you never wanted to know. lol!
I'm all jacked up on Claritin-D. Friggin allergies man. I take Claritin and I'm tired, take Claritin-D and I'm jacked up like a speed freak. lol! Should make for a fun day. lol!
Ally, yer to funny!
more cowbell - I totally agree!
T-Bones, tell June Bug she has prayers coming all the way from PA. Thinking about yer lot, and hoping for the best.
