Satriella

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, I can't wait until I get to see Joe, it will be fantastic. Don't worry about it, believe me I try not to. Currently sorting it out, I'm fine.

Happy Easter!

We have the fam coming over in less than an hour, and I'm still in my jamies. lol! It's always a mad scramble getting everything ready, everyone in the shower, and his fam is almost always early. What's wrong with being fashionably late i ask ya? I'm wore out already and it didn't even start yet. lol! Ahhh, gotta love holidays. The big picture is no matter - we get to spend another holiday with our parents. That's what counts...not me coming down a half hour after everyone arrives with wet hair and no make-up...right? lol! There's gonna be no hot water left for my shower. I juss knows it! lol!

ooo new podcast! i'm looking forward to the one about Revelation wondering if Satch was inspired by the last book of The Bible?

Zen - i'm sure 'mystery' has been spoken and talked about long before the New Testament and even Daniel :) but the song is using a greek word, which means it's not used by other civilisations...*ouch* man you got me thimpking!! >=;P

bugs:Here ya go mystery (1) c.1315, in a theological sense, "religious truth via divine revelation, mystical presence of God," from Anglo-Fr. *misterie (O.Fr. mistere), from L. mysterium, from Gk. mysterion (usually in pl. mysteria) "secret rite or doctrine," from mystes "one who has been initiated," from myein "to close, shut," perhaps referring to the lips (in secrecy) or to the eyes (only initiates were allowed to see the sacred rites). The Gk. word was used in Septuagint for "secret counsel of God," translated in Vulgate as sacramentum. Non-theological use in English, "a hidden or secret thing," is from c.1300. In ref. to the ancient rites of Greece, Egypt, etc. it is attested from 1643. Meaning "detective story" first recorded in Eng. 1908.

Love the new video featuring "roadbot". Hilarious. From the comments it looks like only a few people noticed it on the home page. Click on i just wanna Rock and then play Video. Great stuff.

Also enjoying the podcast so far. Listening to the song samples over and over, as well as going through Joe's entire back catalog in preparation for the release in 9 days. My CD/DVD set is ordered, can't wait!

Big Bunny : yeah, Joe explained clearly where is the source of his inspiration for this song.. of course. So, the question could be: is this source herself without influence of other civilizations?

Other point, Joe changes mysterion as musterion.. this is a neologism. You must into myst... curious..

I let you think about this, if you wish. Good evening.

Hey Satch, I cannot tell you how much I dig your music! I have been a fan for a long time and have always wished that I could play even half as well as you can. I am curious if you have any words of advise for a guy who would like to get back into guitar after putting it down for a while. How much of a while? let's just say way too long! For my equipment list I have: A 6 string Steinberger Spirit, a Peavey 10W practice amp, a Digitech RP-50 multi-effects processor, and not much as far as motivation other than not wanting to practice scales/chords over and over and over again. Can you help? Thanks in advance and hope to see you come through Texas sometime soon! Take care and God Bless V/r Tommy Heroux

A neologism is the creation of a new word.

There's several kinds of neologisms.

Happy Easter, everyone!

PhilTheMetalhead - Awesome. It's cool to hear that I Believe is a song that hooked you early on. That's one of my favorite songs by any artist, period.

I got into Satch by way of Eric Johnson. 95.5 KLOS in Los Angeles would play his Cliffs Of Dover a lot in the mid 1990s. This was right around the time Venus Isle came out, and they played Pavilion from that a lot as well. So as I was buying his albums, I came across the first G3 release. So that was my introduction to Satch, along with hearing Lights Of Heaven on KLOS after Crystal Planet came out. As I think I mentioned earlier, my first time seeing Satch live was the first night of the Engines Of Creation tour.

How old are you, by the way? I'm 24...

DIGUIT123 - Don't give up yet...maybe it'll still work out for you. I'm only going off what the schedule was like for the ITLIS? promo tour...things might be slightly different this time around.

And if it doesn't work, Joe's a fairly easy guy to meet after a concert...so if you keep going to the shows you'll cross paths before you know it.

...Austin...
