Heads-up everyone! Marty Friedman has a new one out! Future Addict... check it out if you're a fan. I'm giving it a first listen right now, so far so good (so what? LOL). Nice'n'heavy! There's even a couple of Megadeth "covers" plus a buncha other "re-releases" of his older stuff.
Enjoy!
smooches,

Matt....ummm....didn't I TELL you not to eat cheese? Of any kind? You just don't listen....sucky cheesesteak....geez. But the tune is really good :) Nice job.....on second thought, if cheese inspires you in such a way, go ahead, gorge...and then write more music :D
Yes Austin, just got the book yesterday, from a dear friend for my birthday....as I was telling her...I only managed to get about 7 pages into it before I was lost in tears....so had to put it down for awhile, but am reading again in small amounts, as my heart will allow. What got to me was that I am identifying very strongly with Neil's wife and how she felt after their daughter died. Neil says "It soon became apparent that Jackie's world was completely shattered forever; she had fallen to pieces, and she never came back together again." Her diagnosis of terminal cancer (what Neil says the Dr.s told her she had but what he calls her "broken heart") was like a relief to her in her unending grieving. I understand and relate to that as well.
The book is very well written and I will read it all, as I am able. Neil Peart managed to find a way to deal with his tragedies and recover a life.....even finding another love and getting married again. He is very strong. And he is very lucky to have been able to take the journey that he did. Many times I have wished I could leave here and go somewhere....anywhere else. But the pain goes with you, this I know. If you don't find a way to deal with it, it eats you alive. I feel this hungry beast inside...and know that my pain and apathy are feeding it. No telling what's to come.
Thanks again for the suggestion....and thanks to my lovely friend who sent the book.

Do The Stu
Thanks for the early eval...Mostly I've just seen people posting 'Joe's amazing', 'Its a great album', 'he's a God', stuff like that and I'd just like to hear more of review-type breakdowns from everyone...even if they don't like the album. I think it does Joe more good to hear honest critiques from his fans every once in a while than just flat praise....
SBM huh...well I guess we'll find out Tuesday.
BTW...on a completely different train of thought: Another new bassist? What happened to Dave LaRue??

Thank you for all of your hard work on the site lately, it's lookin' GOOD!
Just curious if there are any plans to do a web video of one of the Guitar Center Sessions kinda like you did for the Colossal release?... Even just a few minutes cut together would be cool.

Ibanezguitar : agreed... & i will add Mr Son Seals, master of chicago blues.
The Howlin' Wolf's voice is a very rare prodigy. As time goes by, what i admire with the black bluesmen is less their guitar playing (even if i get respect for it) than their tone's voices.
Talking about Blues, i would like to add 3 of the more scaring monster electric players of all the time:
The genius of the blue Telecaster, real innovator, Mr Roy Buchanan
Our lost srv
& the unique Jeff Beck
