Ibanezguitar : agreed... & i will add Mr Son Seals, master of chicago blues.

The Howlin' Wolf's voice is a very rare prodigy. As time goes by, what i admire with the black bluesmen is less their guitar playing (even if i get respect for it) than their tone's voices.

Bigbunny - Our release date is not until April 1st thats why I was so happy to get it.....if your release date has been put back why dont you order it from somewhere else and get it posted? Japan is fairly close to you and when they sent me the new Paul Gilbert album it got from Japan to England in 3 days!!!!

cheese101 - Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the book so far, Tracie... It's interesting to hear that you identify with Jackie...that's maybe not something I would have thought of right away, but I can see how it fits. There isn't much about her in the book after the first chapter or so, save for the occasional flashback (most of those focus on their daughter Selena), but I know you'll get a lot out of Neil's side of things.

Let me know what you think as you continue to read through it. And you're more than welcome to email me if you don't want to post your thoughts here.

It's good to hear that you like Neil's writing style. He has three other books, all of which are excellent. Ghost Rider is the only one with a big "point" that brings everything together, but the other ones are still good reads because he's a great storyteller. But I'll wait until after you finish this book before I tell you more about those.

Are you much of a Rush fan? I don't remember you ever talking too much about their music. If you'd like, I can send you MP3s of some of the songs Neil quotes in the book (Afterimage, Time Stand Still, Prime Mover, etc.) to help put things in context...just let me know.

Crystal Jammer - I wrote in-depth reviews for Strange Beautiful Music and Is There Love In Space? when they were released...I'll try to find the time to do the same once this album comes out. It'd be nice to get some discussions going. And I agree with you...honest critiques are good to hear.

My feelings are mixed about Dave LaRue. In some ways I'm bummed that Joe picked him because I knew he could never be more than a temporary bassist due to his other commitments (with Steve Morse, among others). I thought Dave meshed well with Joe in a live situation, and it would have been cool to see them come up with some music in the studio.

I'm excited to hear what Brad Russell is all about though...I think this tour could end up being really awesome. It would have been nice to see Eric Caudieux on the road with Joe again, but oh well...maybe next time?

And I don't want to hype this too much in case it doesn't work out, but I plan on bringing my digital camera to the Guitar Center Hollywood in-store. Hopefully I'll be able to get some video of the new songs.

BigBunny - Ugh...that really stinks. I guess they're holding it so it's released closer to the start of the Australia tour? If you (or anyone else) ends up not getting it from somewhere else online, email me...I can try to pick up a few extra copies at the Guitar Center in-store and snail mail them to you. It might be a bit more expensive, but you won't have to wait three months.

...Bananna,s they grow wild where im from ,their related to the zuchini they grow on vines on the ground .Their very juicy the jucie squirts rights out of them when you use your bananna knife!.A;though they are no longer related i seperate them,now they growin two different batchs!one batch is banannas one batch is zuchini! you see no longer related!. yes my Pink flamingos very nice bird that Dracula named they eat humming bird , their is no water here we use catua juice my flamingo love catus juice i live in Okoiu zimbabwe later wolf2,.

..Hey did i tell you my sled mechanic offered to buy my 1985 decker racing enterprises ski-doo off me yeah dunfords marine man he offered me 13,075 dolars for it hey man he said it,s the nicest engine he ever seen and the whole machine works about 9 times better then a brand new one and has about 44 times more poweri told him if i ever sell it you can have it! you know i used it all year with the same set of spark plugs from the beging of winter no lie man starts first pull and it stays out side in like minus 50 with the windchill for days before starting anyways be back later wolfie.
