Did someone actually just post PSATMOR will be "great music for mellow spring and a picknick."
We ARE talking about JOE SATRIANI , not YANNI right?!?
Man now I'm REALLY worried about tomorrow...I'm starting to wonder if I should listen to all the podcast teasers first now. I really don't want this to be a mellow album. IMHO Colossal already served that purpose...
Phydeaux_3 Don't worry. No one's gonna flame you on T2J for speaking your mind. Everyone here has each other's back. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, Joe really needs honest feedback from us about his releases. He's an artist and as such we can't expect him to change just cause we say we like or dislike something he's created, but at the same time if no one from his fan base speaks up when they dislike something he makes how will he ever know? Basically, I'm looking forward to some good reviews after the release! ;p
I just hope when I pick up the album tomorrow I find a Rocker as opposed to a Yawner. I don't need acoustic, piano, harps or any other mellow stuff...I need ROCK!
Do The Stu So Larue is with Morse, huh? Well, I agree that he did add a good kinetic vibe to the Colossal tour playin' alongside Joe. But what I really don't understand is why Matt doesn't tour with Joe any more. If I'm not mistaken he participated in the recordings for PSATMOR? Not sure, but maybe it has something to do with Matt's recent trip, what did Joe say at NAMM show, to meditate in Tibet or something? I dunno maybe Joe was just joking around...
As for recording the Guitar Center deals, no sweat. If it's done by one us T2Jers or Web extraordinaire Luini it would really be cool but if not, well... C’est la vie.

I guess you could say that this is not your typical post. My son was a huge fan of yours and Eric Johnson. He was a guitar player and quite good at it. He would sit and listen to your music for hours. He was 21 when he passed away. Its been 3 years now. Since he has been gone, I have listened to your music and I have become a big fan myself. Into the light is a hard one to listen to, it kind of hits home. I only wish that I had taken him to see you live in concert. I have watched your concert on tv (every time its on) and I know he would be happy that I finally got it! I know you proably don't do too many tours in Tennessee, but maybe the next time you come to Atlanta I will get the chance to see you live.
Sincerely

I think my favourite track has to be Asik Veysel good to see Joe back to playing a piece with some throttle very clever to get that turkish style at the end would really like to hear that live. Coming to see you and the band in Bristol and won some tickets from planet rock.com to see you in bournemouth also. Thanks for the new album Joe

Great cover! Lovething is my favorite Satch song. I also really dig Stu's interpretation on bass guitar from the Live in San Francisco DVD.
Do the Stu
It's not often mentioned, but I think 1996's Test For Echo is one of Rush's strongest albums. It has interesting lyrics, great melodies, good progressions and for me the icing on the cake is the great artwork/photos to help frame the album.

PSATMOR ROCKS!!!!!!!! Mailman delivered it today and I've listened to the whole thing and watched the DVD. I can't get enough of Joe! When's the next full blown American tour?
I may regret this but what the hell. I am not the greatest guitarist but I have fun with it aand that is all that matters to me. With that said here's me playing lead on the easy part of Ten Words.

Hi Joe
Your new album ROCKS :)
On track 10 i noticed at aprox. 1:43 that it sounds what you were playing in the Satch tapes (the part where you comment your career) :) Beautiful track man!! love the mix between melodic intro and power metal sections :).
Love All the small giutar sounds you get in the oddest places hehe.
Can't wait for the concert in Copenhagen in June.
My first Concert was 03-03-1993 row 1 seat 16 (still have the ticket) :)
Congrats on making this awesome album.
I'm almost gonna bring the album back to you since I'm leaving for Greenland on 2nd April. What better way than icebergs, polar bears and your new album.
Looking forward to june.
Keep rockin'

There is a benefit to living in Guam! I have got Joe's new album where America's day begins and it is so cool!! Incredible tone, searing melodies, blazing solos, and cool themes. It is a cinemascape of sound that stimulates the ear drum!! Joe, please come and do a clinic here in Guam!
