SATRIELLA: Really like the latest drawing of Joe...you appear to be getting better and better. I actually have a couple of your drawing hanging up in my guitar room. I believe I'm going to get Joe to sign this one and add to the wall. Great Job!!!

BERGY 16: Find good instructors and then... practice, practice, practice and practice,,,and once you've completed all of that, go ahead and make sure you practice a little bit more. I've personally been playing for over 30 yrs. and even though I've have some great instructors in those years, not much would have worked if I had not!!! Good luck, young man.

Hi Joe, at 51 I must be one of your oldest fans. I think your guitar playing is absolutely amazing. I've been a rocker since 00plonk and my favourite band is Deep Purple, I always thought that Richie Blackmore was the best but after seeing you he's not in the same league. I do hope to see you play in the Uk soon. all the very best

Ok, I admit I got antsy and downloaded the album last night.

Joe I must say,..this album is your best since crytal planet. I have to be honest, I didn't dig your Love in Space album but this album is tops.

BTW- I have "purchased" every single album you have and this one will be no different. I will be visiting my local Best Buy today! I hope those that got antsy and jumped the gun like me will do the same!

If you purchase the new Joe CD from iTunes - you get an additional track - Ghosts.

Hum, what to do.

I got the new cd in the mail yesterday, but I would like to have Ghosts too.

Great new CD/DVD. Track "Come On Baby" is the most emotional track of Joe Ever!!! I love the tracks from "Joe Satriani" but this one is certainly my favorite.

Yesterday while I was in hospital I was taked to watch the brain death test in a patient ... this guy was a young gentle man I had met a few times..Nikos, was a young man 24yo,non smoker, non drinker ,with the same passion with me Molecural Biology. He is dead after a brain stroke!!!!
While I was coming home the afternon I couldn't stop thinking of what I saw and while I listening to "Come on baby" tears came across my eyes.

The track "Out of the sunrise" is a perfect soundtrack while we drive during the sunrise!
The footage of the DVD.... Very nice.... A lot of fan while recording in the studio!!! Bravo Jon!!

What I didn't like is the "Ghosts" extra track in iTunes. Ok, music business needs some promotional tricks but the fact that you have to buy the full recor in order to get this track is awful. I didn't expect something like that .

Joe , CONGRATULATIONS for your 13th release. Great job! Look forward to see you back in GREECE , maybe next year during a G3 show.

Our love to you and Rubina,

what's included on the dvd?

Just the podcast...or does he actually play all the new songs all the way through?

I've seen him play all the old ones a lot of time and am not interested in that ...but if he plays the new ones, I'm in.

Has anyone else noticed this? I'm listening to one headphone while working, so I get either the left or right channel all by itself, well during I Just Wanna Rock it gets to about 0:57 (when the Framptone kicks in) and the music just goes all choppy, it almost sounds like a binaural beat, almost as if Joe has "balanced" it back and forth REALLY quickly so you're only hearing half of the music in each channel, doesn't even sound like like music at all. Very curious. I tried to replicate the effect on Winamp using the balance slider and it didn't work at all, I could still hear the "complete" music all the way left or right, I guess the channels aren't completely isolated like they are with headphones. Can somebody else reproduce this result and let me know what you think? Either way I think it's pretty freaky and WAY out there. Nice work Joe!!!

Also, what I said before about the lifeless basslines... I'll eat my hat a little bit now.. Asik Vaysel has a smokin' bass line.

One more thing, has anyone else caught that "Cheap Sunglasses" feel in Diddly Y A Doo Dat a little?

One last thing, if anyone else is reduced to listening to one earbud, like I am, and is sick and tired of hearing "karaoke" versions or half the guitar parts missing there IS a solution that works great, you can get it here. It's called the 1-bud and it combines the left and right channels into one earbud, great for people who want to listen to music and still hear what's going on too. Also, excellent for people who may be deaf in one ear and are sick of hearing only half the music.

I think I know why Stu left, I know why Matt left, but why did Dave leave? I’m sure Brad Russell will do just fine (he has played with just about everyone in the music business….) Just wondering if anyone heard….

Do The Stu:...Personally, I think Snakes And Arrows is a very good album. Now that I think about it, most of the songs are in the same tempo, but what about 'Hope'?? Now there's a memorable song. I think it's a more 'basic' album, not as 'proggy' as before, yet it still manages to maintain 'classic Rush'. By the way, I see you play bass.....do you play anything like Mr.Lee?! Mr.Lifeson is a teeny tiny bit above my skill level ;-) All in all, I like Snakes and arrows, it seems they have played to their strengths for fans like us, but removed some of the stigma surrounding them and 'prog'; which was a bit of a problem for some people. Nearly got to see them over here last year.....just missed it though. Catch them next time though. Great to hear from another fan---and one across the pond at that!!!!!! :-)

conner22: Teach yourself man!!! That's what I did, although many will speak of the wonders of teaching. Do you want to be like Angus Young and have no knowledge of the scales you use? Or do you want to be like Satch? (Silly question I know.....:-))

OK, this post is for all of you RUSH fans who may or may not have seen these before, VERY funny stuff (quite candid too!) I know you're going to enjoy these videos, if you're not from Canada you're probably unaware that anything like this even existed.

Tobogganing with Geddy Lee! (click the play video link)

Neil Peart drum lesson!

Enjoy!

Hi Joe - Congrats on the new album! Some very nice tunes there. I have a question for you : On the song "WHY" , are you using a harmonizer there on the 3 guitar harmonies or is that just tracks? If so, what type of harmonizer is it? Have you ever tried the Digitech DHP-55? What do you think about Eventide's stuff? Thanks joe! I wish you and your family the very best this year! Happy touring!! - Jesse
