Hey Joe!
Thanks again for coming to Guitar Center and meeting us! I was the guy at Rockville MD with the chromeboy yesterday. It meant so much to me to meet you and talk to you a little bit. You were so nice and friendly and genuinely interested. ;)
Thanks for signing my guitar and I'll be sure to take care of it. You wouldn't know from looking but I actually do play it as my main gutar! As I said yesterday, thanks so much......so much. You were so nice I had to say it twice! ;)
I'll be submitting the picture we took together to the site too! The Ibanez rep was really nice. I waved at your road manager, which was hilarious because I knew who he was but of course he doesn't know me from Bob. He looked at me like I was crazy hehehe
Thanks!
Bill

Do The Stu an awesome bass guitar performance by Marcus Miller you probably missed when we posted this a month ago after Jeff Healey's unfortunate passing... Marcus and Omar Hakim make one mofo rythmn section!!! Plus Marcus' reaction to Jeff are priceless as well!!!

I find that chromatic stuff helps to advance alternate picking, finger stretching, etc. If, everyday, for example you play a chromatic that uses all the strings from bass "e" to top e-string, 12th fret "e", then your fluency improves, and you can move on to harmonic or melodic minor scales, or just basic major ones. Maybe increase the speed from time to time. You will find that even some of the most complex melodies become easier with this practice.
Hope that helped.

WOW JOE!!! What can I say... just listened to the new album for the 1st time...
"Musterion" is amazing, holy key changes... I love the tone. I almost get that feel of vibes back from "Not of This Earth" from that one but at the same time I get vibes from Engines of Creation all in one tune... dark and mysterious!!!
"Overdrive" was killer... that tone you got in the main solo section was over the top and in your face. and crisp and warm.
"I Just Wanna Rock" love that main solo... it steps out and grabs onto you...
"Revelation" is a beautiful song. threw the tunes on my Ipod and took it to work with me and when I had a chance to listen to that one, it brought tears to my eyes, people were giving me weird looks all day. but they were tears of joy.
"Come On Baby" also a beautiful tune... The Intro was one thing totally unexpected, just when you figure it's going one way it goes the other, beautiful Piano tones and the mix was beautiful... I came home from work today and picked up the guitar and jammed out a few times with it... that one said Strat all over it, especially in the middle solo, almost had a SRV thing going there, but then you step up a notch and then it's all Joe... hehe. of course the Ibanez was used on your end, but for me it said Strat. The Vibe is beautiful...
so far that's all I have managed to digest, I'm sure as the weeks go on while I have more opportunities to listen, as always creativity is top notch Joe... Thanks for the Music...

The new CD is great. Itunes had the CD for a great price plus a bonus track (Ghosts-awesome song) which I burned in as the opening track. The thing I like is this CD has a variety of styles. Satchafunkilus reminds me of Tommy Bolin funk , while diddle y a doo dat sounds like deep purple(intro) and zz top inlfluences? has to be the best since Crystal Planet
thanks Joe, for a great CD. one of these days you need to do a gig in Wichita, KS
peace

Joe, one thing I've always pondered is why you don't play Motorcycle Driver live, at least as of late.
My favourite song, which I believe would make a good live jam.

JOE: I have to say a hearty British congartulations on the new album. Such a mix of styles! One of the nicest is 'Out Of The Sunrise'- as it's simple yet powerful (love the reggae bit by the way). 'Revelation' and 'Come On Baby' are both heartfelt, touching songs....BUT still not quite as touching as 'Ten Words' (better luck next time, but I don't honestly think anything can beat 'Ten Words';-) All in all, well done old chap! We wait with bated breath for you to hop across the pond. :-)
