Do the Stu/Keniko

Hey guys, the songs he played from the new album at Chicago were musterion, overdriver and diddle-y-a-doo-dat. My father and I got video of them but they're a little shaky as we were in the back and had to raise our arms to their max. I can share them if you'd like.

Keniko, I envy you getting to meet joe so much. Best of wishes!

joeman9...... Thanks for clearing that up. I was only familiar with the podcasts and I'm terrible with song titles. I thought one was Musterion and I knew of the jazz one and that turn out to be the Diddle- a - Doo tune. As far as envious of meeting Joe so much. You don't have to be. I'm really no different than any other fan. If you're patient enough to stay after his concerts depending on the venue geography you can meet him along with Mike and Mick going to the tour bus. The last G3 tour Joe played at the Congress Theater in Chicago....a first and we got to meet him again. The three prior tours he played at the House Of Blues which is land locked by the Chicago River so there was no way of meeting Joe and the gang after the shows. It's always great to meet Joe and shake his hand.....as a guitarist also he's so inspiering to me. But what makes Joe really great to me is..... Joe the person..... He's not stuck on himself and working in an industry with the most egotistical people in the world...... thats rare.

Edit......I'd post the vid on youtube and give us the link. That's the best way for anyone to see the vid.

Have A Great Evening Everyone ! ! ! ! !

Hi Joe!!! I think your new album is awesome! I enjoy "andalusia" and "I just wanna rock" themes. The way that u' say "I wanna rock with you" with the strings is funny and pretty cool

but I have a big question also...

I listened that your visit to mexico will be in August.... it is truth? I hope that cause I´m from it, would be great to listening your new album live in this country... A lot of things to say... but maybe later I hope you are well and keep up rockin' for the rest of your life joe!!....

super colossal turn me off from joe satriani, but this new album has brought me back to joe. I'm very glad to be back and listening to joe's music 24/7! I met him in person last night here in colorado GC session! I got my guitar signed and shooked the legend's hand! Glad i stopped by this site at the right time to see that he was coming to town! :)

Another thing that I'd like to add is that, the new album shreds like crazy! Joe is more of the bluesy/rock guitarist, but this new one is full of difficult phrases and each listening i discover something new and challenging to play!

Joe has it all...we may not agree with all of his sides, but this side of joe rocks harder than ever!

Yes!!! Buckethead for G3! (Why "no" death cube k?) That would be just amazing.

And yes, I'd love to hear Joe's thought's on the whole "loudness war" thing, there's obviously another side to the story, there must be SOME reason why CD's are being mastered that way, maybe they figure only the top 1% of hard-core audiophiles can tell the difference anyways? If that were the case then why not just stop producing CD's at all... MP3's are "good enough", right? LOL!!

Why such dislike of "I Just Wanna Rock"?The hook is only at the beginning and end of the song. The middle of the song has killer guitar work and just plain rocks. It is definately better than Crowd Chant ever was.Just my opinion.

Youtube's down right now, and I've never posted vids before but you can be sure I will! As for the meeting Joe etc. I live in the St. Louis area, so I actually had to drive 5 1/2 hours with my dad out there. I've only seen Joe once aside from that show, and it was a school nite, so I left at 11 or so, and didn't get home until midnight. Which means no encore, or post-show etc. The Chicago show was really monumental for me, and I got a LOT of people asking me about it at school today. I'm sure I'll be able to see him again eventually though. Take care my friend! I'll let you know as soon as those videos hit youtube!

Just got back from seeing Jackson Browne play an acoustic show. It was good, but he ain't no Joe.

The one song that stuck out was Lives In The Balance -

Ive been waiting for something to happen For a week or a month or a year With the blood in the ink of the headlines And the sound of the crowd in my ear You might ask what it takes to remember When you know that youve seen it before Where a government lies to a people And a country is drifting to war

And theres a shadow on the faces Of the men who send the guns To the wars that are fought in places Where their business interest runs

On the radio talk shows and the t.v.- You hear one thing again and again- How the u.s.a. stands for freedom- And we come to the aid of a friend- But who are the ones that we call our friends-- These governments killing their own? Or the people who finally cant take any more- And they pick up a gun or a brick or a stone- There are lives in the balance- There are people under fire- There are children at the cannons- And there is blood on the wire-

Theres a shadow on the faces- Of the men who fan the flames- Of the wars that are fought in places- Where we cant even say the names-

They sell us the president the same way- They sell us our clothes and our cars- They sell us every thing from youth to religion- The same time they sell us our wars- I want to know who the men in the shadows are- I want to hear somebody asking them why- They can be counted on to tell us who our enemies are- But theyre never the ones to fight or to die- And there are lives in the balance- There are people under fire- There are children at the cannons- And there is blood on the wire.
