Ah right cool. I've disappeared a few times and then returned saying "I'll be around a lot more from now on" only to disappear again lol. So I'm not going to make that promise. But yeah life is great at the moment I'm in my final year of University; currently at the final push of getting my dissertation written so I can hand it in early as well as the other module I have to do then I'm done and dusted.
I also own 6 guitars now. I sold the telecaster I used to have, was given a Schecter 007 Elite for christmas, then bought an Epiphone 7 string V and 7 string Les Paul, an Ibanez SA360EX and a Jackson DR7. I also changed the neck on my first guitar to a maple one, put a killswitch in it and painted it bright orange lmao...
How have you been and what have you been upto recently?

Hey Joe It was great to be able to talk to you last night on the rock line! It was a great program. I love the new album. I was thrown off at the very beginning not only because i was talking to you, but that Bob Coburn said Newfoundland wrong. But thats ok!

A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight around, looking for valuables; and when he picked up a CD player to place in his sack, a strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark saying, 'Jesus is watching you.'
He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off, and froze.
When he heard nothing more after a bit, he shook his head, promised himself a vacation after the next big score, then clicked the light on and began searching for more valuables.
Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires,
Clear as a bell he heard, 'Jesus is watching you.' Freaked out, he shined his light around frantically, looking for the source of the
voice.
Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.
Did you say that?' he hissed at the parrot.
'Yep,' the parrot confessed, then squawked, 'I'm just trying to warn you.'
The burglar relaxed. 'Warn me, huh? Who in the world are you?'
'Moses,' replied the bird.
'Moses?' the burglar laughed . 'What kind of people would name a bird Moses?'
'The kind of people that would name a Rottweiler Jesus.'

Do The Stu: are you able to post the Q & A you did with Joe when you won the contest a couple years ago. I wasn't able to listen to it then. I'd like to read how that turned out.
I didn't get to listen to Rockline last night, I was in class and I forgot all about it.

I guess I am the first to say I'm a bit disappointed by the new album. I've been a fan for many years now and CP was my favourite album (listened to it for 2 years ... daily). I just loved the guitar violence on it, Satch rules when he's rocking !
SBM was also beautifull and emotional. But I miss all that in the last album. I've been listening to it for 3 days now (cd/dvd was available since 28 march here in Belgium, Europe?), but I'm still looking for something that moves me.
But hey, we all love Joe's playing in a certain way, with personal favourites in his different styles. Joe still remains my idol in guitarplaying, guess I'm a fan forever (else I wouldn't be proud owner of a JS1000BTB and ChromeBoy n°402 ;-) ... which I don't play anymore since I've got kids :-(
No offence to anyone on this forum and especially not to Joe ! I just wanted to post my comment ...

man...that sonic hitch-hike of a solo in musterion is just fantastic...now that's the joe i like to hear. so many noteable phrases in there.
diddle-ya do dat is ridiculous as well. i gotta be honset that my first impressions of this record were not so great but after reallly getting some time to listen to it, it's really a great piece of work. the thought flow to seems to be in a different area than usual. i can hear a lot of joe's timely influences come out.
i'm not sure how you do it joe...but keep on doin it.
clarky ~ i hear ya man. i used to be the same way actually i used my marshall 6100 just for the clean tone and volume. I kinda got tired of using a 25 year old boss ds-1 though haha this new peavy i got is so ridiculously versatile compared to what im used to.

what's up joe and satch fans, went to the guitar center clinic on tuesday in natick mass, I got new cd there didn't listen to it till after show wanted to here some of it live first. It was worth every second standing in line since late morning guitar center was great to all people in line giving out free stuff or throwing out free stuff. We finally got in around 5:45 pm and me and my wife sat in front row this was great seeing how the shows I had been to we allways sat in back row. Joe came out around 6pm and talked for a fem minutes then blazed into mesterion wich is an incredible song and also is first song on new cd, I wish joe had put mesterion at end of cd cause I can't stop listening to it slowley listening to rest of cd if I can get past mesterion.
But I have babled enough just wanted to say thanks to joe and guitar center for putting on clinic and wanted to add that joe was great about talking to people and signing lots of stuff joe is a class act. "good luck Joe and band on tour"

Argh...I wish I would have known Joe was in the chat during Rockline. Oh well...
ppo - Yeah, I thought Rockline was pretty good this time around. I bet someone somewhere was able to record it, so maybe a download link will show up on T2J sometime soon...
frankt2525 - When the Additional Creations EPs show up on Ebay they're usually pretty pricey ($75 and up). I wish I would have known they'd become this sought after when I bought mine a few years ago...I think I only paid about $8, and there were a few for sale. I should have bought more to give to other fans... Anyway, Turkey Man is a good song, but my favorite track on Additional Creations is actually the techno mix of Until We Say Goodbye. It's cool to hear the original version of that song...it's about a minute longer than the "single" with live drums that was included on Engines Of Creation.
You don't have to go through Ebay to get the Japanese version of ITLIS?...it should still be available to purchase online. Of course if it's cheaper on Ebay you could go with that...but you can click here to buy it from CD Universe. It says they only have one in stock now but I bet they'll get more.
Lastly, I'll say that with the internet being what it is today, you can find free (and illegal) downloads of just about anything if you look hard enough. But that's a decision for you to make on your own, and it's not something I'm going to encourage...especially on Joe's website of all places.
Best of luck...
roo - Your song title generator is pretty cool. Two of the best ones I got are Rubina's Killer Plan Of Z.Z.'s Night and Killer Luminous Crush.
dream3 - "I spoke to Joe on the telephone wooooohoooooooo"
Awesome...just wait until the Australia tour, hopefully then you'll be able to say you spoke to him in person. I've met him five times or so now, I think...he really is one of the nicest people (musician or otherwise) I've ever met.
campbell - Hehehe...thanks for sharing that. Was your friend more mad at you or at me, do you think? ;-)
Fatbot Slim - The Australia tour will just be Joe (maybe with an opening act)...it won't be G3.
michelle - Where do you work, if I can ask? Not sure if that's ever come up before...maybe I just don't remember.
My job is sucking the life out of me too, but in different ways I guess.
DelfinoPie - Haha...I've done the "I'm back now, I promise!" probably once every few months over the past year or two and it never quite stuck. But this most recent time I didn't really say anything like that, and it worked. So maybe that's the secret.
What's your dissertation on?
I'm doing OK I guess...there's not too much in life I can complain about. I'm working as a newspaper copy editor...I've been doing this since graduating college two years ago. The journalism industry is in a weird place right now and won't be getting better anytime soon though, so I don't know what'll end up happening. I'll probably move on to something/somewhere else sometime this year.
Shane Burgeo - Cool...I listened to Rockline but don't remember you. Which question did you ask, again?
bluebuffalo - I have that video around here somewhere...I'll type up a transcript and send it to you...or maybe I can get Jon to post it on the site. Thanks for bringing that up...
UncleScorp - It's interesting to hear your thoughts, because if I had to pick three albums to compare this one to I might go with Not Of This Earth, Crystal Planet, and Strange Beautiful Music. You said you like two of those, so I'm not sure I get why you don't like it. Are there any bits and pieces of PSATMOR that you really like?
Well, I have more to say but I'm approaching the character limit...I'll be back in a few hours to catch up on the rest of the posts.
...Austin...

My CD arrived yesterday, I have only listened to 2x so far, upon 1st impressions,
the CD from a few years back "TIME MACHINE" comes to mind, some ballads, some rockers, some of this some of that.
Like someone posted earlier, I was expecting more straight up rockers like the last 2-3 CD's, it is different but it's not.

Definatly worth it. Joe, you've blown me away again. "I just wanna rock" is my favourite, but I'm sure I'll develop many more favourites. Only about a month till I get to see you play live, Joe. Any chance of Crowd Chant?
