DoTheStu: You lucky guy...being that close to Joe for a whole concert! Bet you had to queue up for hours to get that spot! Must have been a pretty special gig, as most of the time you can't get that close really....:-D

Joe, when in Australia, have you ever thought about doing a gig in Newcastle, it's only a couple of hours North of Sydney and after all it is closer the the Hunter Valley Vineyards. Our Entertainment Center in Newcastle would pull a ripper crowd or the Civic Theatre if you were after something a little smaller. We even have a Music shop that Paul Gilbert came to strut his stuff, called Muso's Corner. I'm sure the guy's at Muso's would love to have you call in. See you in Sydney. Be safe, rock on.

Hi Joe.
I went in G3 Show here in Brazil, in Porto Alegre City, in 2006. Was amazing, by the way. So, when do you come back to Brazil?
We are waiting and dreaming with the Professor Satchafunkilous and the Musterion show...

Hi Joe, and all satch fans! Been a huge fan since album #1, and seen you live many times, always the best! New album is great as usual. Is there going to be a U.S. tour after australia, since i don't see the dates yet i'm a little nervous. Thanks Joe and all fans, and have a safe and awesome tour!

GC Chicago was a great set Joe! I especially liked the way the Satch Boogie backing track ended. I wanted to ask a question but "Freak" couldn't see me... I was all the way in the back, one of the last to see you at the end. I understand if you don't get or see this, but my question was that, while you kept saying how the left hand had to be heavy or light for jazz/blues or speed, in general your playing style is very light on the left hand. But, your roots are in blues. What was it that pushed you into legato, or rather, how do you play so lightly and fluidly, while still maintaining that blues feel?
Again, thank you so very much for 20 years Joe!!!!! I was speechless getting to finally meet you after six years! The show last night was just fantastic. Glad to know that people who leave to pee don't get you down;)
Joe

maritime - Ah, OK... Steve Morse's dad (whom the song was originally about) died last year, so I guess a "recent death" is still correct.
Anyway...I'm being picky for no reason. I love that song.
Igneousiceman - The line there wasn't too bad. The Roxy is a smaller club...I don't think I was there any earlier than 5, and I think doors opened at 8. I met up with Mahavishnu from T2J in line...talking to him helped pass time.
We also got to hear Joe's soundcheck from outside...he played a few SWTA songs, but also did some fun stuff like Black Sabbath's Iron Man.
I love waiting in lines all day and talking to other fans and stuff like that...it's a lot of fun. Sometimes it seems a bit weird that I'll spend four hours in line when the concert is only half that length, but that hasn't stopped me yet. ;-)
Blue_Moon - I have those same slippers...they rock.
Zenfish - My favorite bass player is Stu Hamm, which is probably obvious from my username here. He hasn't done many musical things lately, but he was the first bass player to really impress me so he'll probably always stay at the top of my list.
Others favorites include Jaco Pastorius, Chris Squire, and Michael Manring. Do you know who MM is? He lives in the San Francisco area but he plays shows in Europe fairly regularly. Here are two videos for you:

BigBunny - Satchifunkiless? That's a good one, hehe. I hope your album arrives soon!
snooker - Yeah, Joe will no doubt tour the U.S. later this year.
...Austin...

chadleycarpayment, it means yer friends are giving to much money to the gov't all year round and yer not :) It's the smart way to go. You get a gold star.
Al, I love that pic. lol! I have that same Satch shirt too.
My sons band is playing in the basement. They're so firggin' loud! They forget they're playing in my HOME, not a studio out in the middle of nowhere. Guess the fluid I have behind my eardrums isn't helping either. Feckin' allergies! lol! I think band mommy needs a nap. LOL!

so true, at least I remembered....and ended up paying about $36 this year altogether, so not too bad....no refund, but minimal damage, so I called it good, lol! Especially since I lost my lil tax deduction child this year and had to change my deductions on my paycheck...was shooting in the dark about what to do...I'm smarter than I look I guess. And they're all done for this year, WOO HOO!
So Chadley, no complaining...$500 refund beats paying :)
I've been looking for the other mckenna photo chelle, with his Homers on, fast asleep on the glider swing.....remember that one? And do you have yours? that was a good one too, lol.....
I wonder if Joe gets a refund, or has to pay at the end of the year.....geez. A refund would keep him in robots maybe.....
