hi joe,
i can't wait till your enmore theater concert in sydney this july. its going to be a life changing experience. i'm not sure how good your memory is but remember when you were at sydney for the G3 tour in 2006 (december). you know how you came to sign at billy hyde music at camperdown, i'm the kid whos dad got you to sign the 'joe satriani - an anthology tab book'. remember - and it had the spelling mistake - 'joe satrini'. and you signed on the front page - 'to joel'
well it dosn't matter if you don't remember anyway because i am sure you meet a lot of people. anyways i hope i can see you personally at the concert. i also hope i win the backstage passes off this site. it would be amazingly awsome. your a real influence to me and the concert is going to be the best night of my life.
Joel.

Truth is out there about ‘X-Files’ movie title
Fans of show will recognize ‘I Want to Believe’ from Mulder’s UFO poster
LOS ANGELES - The truth is finally out there about the new “X-Files” movie title.
The second big-screen spinoff of the paranormal TV adventure will be called “The X-Files: I Want to Believe,” Chris Carter, the series’ creator and the movie’s director and co-writer, told The Associated Press.
Distributor 20th Century Fox signed off on the title Wednesday.
The title is a familiar phrase for fans of the series that starred David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as FBI agents chasing after aliens and supernatural happenings. “I Want to Believe” was the slogan on a poster Duchovny’s UFO-obsessed agent Fox Mulder had hanging in the cluttered basement office where he and Anderson’s Dana Scully worked.
“It’s a natural title,” Carter said in a telephone interview Tuesday during a break from editing the film. “It’s a story that involves the difficulties in mediating faith and science. ‘I Want to Believe.’ It really does suggest Mulder’s struggle with his faith.”
“I Want to Believe” comes 10 years after the first film and six years after the finale of the series, whose opening credits for much of its nine-year run featured the catch-phrase “the truth is out there.”
Due in theaters July 25, the movie will not deal with aliens or the intricate mythology about interaction between humans and extraterrestrials that the show built up over the years, Carter said.
Instead, it casts Mulder and Scully into a stand-alone, earth-bound story aimed at both serious “X-Files” fans and newcomers, he said.
“It has struck me over the last several years talking to college-age kids that a lot of them really don’t know the show or haven’t seen it,” Carter said. “If you’re 20 years old now, the show started when you were 4. It was probably too scary for you or your parents wouldn’t let you watch it. So there’s a whole new audience that might have liked the show. This was made to, I would call it, satisfy everyone.”
Hardcore fans need not worry that the movie will be going back to square one, though, Carter said. The movie will be true to the spirit of the show and everything Mulder and Scully went through, he said.
“The reason we’re even making the movie is for the rabid fans, so we don’t want to insult them by having to take them back through the concept again,” Carter said.
Carter said he settled on “I Want to Believe” from the time he and co-writer Frank Spotnitz started on the screenplay. It took so long to go public with it because studio executives wanted to make sure it was a marketable title, he said.
The filmmakers have kept the story tightly under wraps to prevent plot spoilers from leaking on the Internet, a phenomenon that barely existed when the first movie came out in 1998.
“We went to almost comical lengths to keep the story a secret,” Carter said. “That included allowing only the key crew members to read the script, and they had to read it in a room that had video cameras trained on them. It was a new experience.”

Good Morning Satchland.....How Are You ?
ibanezguitars....... Thank you so much for postin' that vid. I've never seen that before and it was great. I give Joe a lot of credit for doing that. He looked a little nervous and I can understand why. Not known for vocals or acoustic guitar playing but there he is on VH1 playing and singing his heart out. Thanks again....hugs to you.
Dave DC...... I pretty much have the same story. You make choices in life some you regret and some you don't. I'll never regret having a wife and our two sons. I'll take that over being single and famous everyday of the week. I couldn't imagine my life without them. But it's about the love of playing an instrument not being successful at it or the number of people that show up for gigs. There's a very low and fortunate percentage of musicians that can make a living at it. But what you see is the fame.....touring,mag interviews, Radio and TV apperences. In reality it's got to be one of the hardest jobs to stay focused on. Corporate greed, pressures of touring and cd sales, and if your married with a family.......NEVER SEEING THEM ! ! ! ! because of your contractual obligations. Every musicain struggles before they make it no matter who you are. Hendrix had to go to England, The Beatles were turned down a number of times. Satriani was selling his cd's out of the trunk of his car to pay off a $ 5000 Visa debt. They all persevered because of the love of playing and music. So don't be discouraged. If you truly love playing it doesn't matter. Me personally, I'm having the hardest and best time as a guitarist. I've had my band for 5 yrs. and maybe played 20 gigs cuz' people come and go through the band. It's very frustrating cuz" I know where I stand with the local music scene and know I could be right there with everyone else. Patience, dedication and love of playing keeps me going. So in the words of the great Zappa......" Shut up and play your guitar......end of rant.....Thank God I'm sure you're saying....lol.......
Cheese....... How are you? Check your email for my version of "Tears In The Rain" It's a little ruff in sports and I hope you'll like it. Hugs to you.....
Edit..... Best be on that plane to Ireland. I feel you need this trip and will work wonders for you......hugs again
Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! ! ! ! !

J Satrini:yup, guitarists & their sad fragile egos, its better now than back then I have t say, I mean for a 20 year old t knock out Gambale chops back in 89 was like... hes sold his soul t the dark one kinda thang lol twas incredibly sad & hey np on the info, my pleasure, I know er indoors will love Cordoba, but y cant go t Andalucia & not see Granada, dude that’s like toast without jam, Alhambra will blow yer mind, the work that went into its is staggering, it really should be one of the 7 wonders, its also a place where Christian & Islam live side by side in peace, would be great if the rest of the world followed its example instead of squabbling over whos god is better, but really, you can see the two places at a relaxed pace in a week, anyhoos happy t be o help n a ra best t the missis bro
Cubit:& an accordion prolly with Wolf playin it on his ski-doo n Satch singin happily along arghhh

When is the American Tour going to be announced? I see all shows in U.K. are sold out.
Met Joe at Guitar Center 2 weeks ago. I figured out what the hat with the earflaps is: Joe's wearing earplugs under there.

I'm gonna to be a few egotic; i wasn't scared at all to meet mr Slanshroom, to play with him & to recognize & understand how much straight ahead our time he's about guitar approach. To the contrary, it has been a great pleasure to me. It has definitly brought my mind about guitar to an other step.
Sorry, but this must be definitly said. I don't get problem with the ability of the others, went it's good.
Mark : Hell for me was called sequencer Ardour the last two days.. but i get now all the rythmicall parts, beat, bass & guitar recorded of the variation from HFOB.
Hope it will be the last song i record onto it.
