DO the STU

I Thought I would let you know that unfortunately, despite best efforts, (and with problems regarding AA planes last week, I could not make it to the Seattle Guitar centre gig.

At least I have the comfort of knowing that I am booked on a platinum ticket back in the UK in May

Thank you for your help

many regards

Chris

Well chelle-belle....u may have something there all right...but please....NOT Ricky Bobby....omg he's so retarded!!!! It's funny though, when he runs around in his underwear? That's kinda how I picture Mckenna, running through the streets of Dublin after he's gotten his swerve on, LMAO!!!! I so seriously do ;) And u KNOW we've seen him in worse condition than that!!

Oh...and remembery...Chris demolished that mix cd u sent me :(( but I do remember it, loved Rooster especially.

Give Scoots a big sloppy kiss on the mug from me for his birfdee, and a nice fat mouse :D As for yer party...lemme think hard on it, I'll maybe make u a list :) Cake? Did you say CAKE???? Yes please and hurry it up dammit!

Now repeat after me.... Satchafunkymonkeyliciousballs :D

Nats. Decision day 2mo.

do the stu - yeah, i went with the multiple locations since i thought it was real neat to emphasize how on that one song it was really important (as joe said in his introductions) to stay true to how it was played. what better way to show that then show that crazy solo played at 3 different places at the same time? :}

hoiguy79 - i have no info on mexico/south america shows yet. as soon as they come in they get posted n the site, though! for the most part i now have joe's booking agents able to post new dates as soon as they are confirmed so in many cases there really is *no* delay at all in them showing up on the site.

all - joe and the band are in rehearsals for the next week or so prepping for the tour. i'm planning on catching them next week and will likely have some photos and eventually video footage to share :}

SATRIELLA: Hope things improve for you soon. I went through 'relationship breakdown' a while back after 15 years of togetherness. It sux but time really is a great healer.

Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but you can now get Ghosts from iTunes WITHOUT having to buy the whole album again. I got it last night and it is worth every one of the 79 pennies it costs. :0)

As far as the new album goes, it seems to be polarising Satch fans. My initial listening left me liking about half of it. Having now heard it many times over I have to say that IJWR always gets skipped - it's just a bit too cheesy for me. I can understand young kids liking it for it's playfulness but it doesn't make me wanna rock.

Musterion is a great opener with a solo that comes across as having been constructed but, at the same time, flows beautifully through the changes.

I adore Revelation. Lovely chorus that reminds me of some of Nik Kershaw's work. Really musical. Thanks for that Joe.

Out of the Sunrise has some fantastic moments but I do feel that the initial piano motif goes on a bit and the simple drum beat becomes a bit wearing. The reggae section really lifts the piece or is that partly because my ears are just desperate for a change by then! :o)

Diddle-y-a-doo-dat is a lot of fun. The chorus has something about it which reminds me of Marine Boy's theme tune! Is it just me or is Joe about the only guy to branch of into this kind of territory under the guise of a rock album? Truly a musterion of rock.

Love the intro for Asik Veysel but I can leave the rest of it. Too much noodling and not enough soul for my taste.

Andalusia has a great intro followed by a real stonker of a groove. Anyone else notice that the arpegiated run at the end of the acoustic section is similar to the little bit of acoustic playing on the Satch Tapes (when Joe is in the store near the beginning)? I just feel that Joe has done this kind of thing better before (noodling over a couple of chords). Nothing really new here for me. Listen to Lords of Karma or The Bell's of Lal (pt II) and then tell me that Joe's playing doesn't blow you away more on those.

If Overdriver and Come On Baby were by another artist they would be interesting but from Joe they are just OK and do not reflect his best ideas; both have some very 'listenable' elements but they just don't quite add up to being great songs for me.

Anyway, I'm very happy that there are a few new songs I can listen too many times over without having to return to older cuts.

Thanks again Joe. You do a great job of balancing playing live (see you next month - yay), producing new material and being a really good guy.

Oh, if any of you good people can get hold of the DVD released with PSATMOR it's worth it just for the version of Crushing Day. Masterful.

Oh, meant to add that it's good to read that there are several Rush fans here. The S&A tour part II has kicked off and there are some great vids going up on Youtube. The setlist has a few changes to the shows I saw last year. Should be a great show for all those who couldn't get to the first leg of the tour.

THE CRUEFEST ANNOUNCEMENT:

Press Release / Fuse to Air Motley Crue Press Event Live Today - www.multichannel.com/article/CA6551400.html "Borrowing a page from its chief's old VH-1 Classic book, the Fuse network will air live from Los Angeles a Tuesday press conference at which Motley Crue members are expected to announce a summer tour involving other rock bands, as well.

Fuse put out an advisory saying something would be announced at the 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT event – as did Tommy Lee and company. But a Web site called The Gauntlet previously said the band was going to announce a "Crue Fest" tour also involving the bands Papa Roach, Motley Crue, Sixx A.M., Buckcherry, and Trapt. It said tickets would go on sale for most venues tomorrow, as well.

Fuse president Eric Sherman used this technique to effect in February 2007 when he ran VH-1 Classic: it aired a live press conference from Los Angeles at which The Police announced their reunion tour and performed."

Motley Crue will also announce details of their new album and possibly the upcoming bio-pic movie also. The groovy new single Saints Of Los Angeles is out today at iTunes.

Motley Crue to release single on Rock Band game

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - In a nod to the ascendancy of video games, rock 'n' roll bad boys Motley Crue will become the first group to release a new single through Rock Band, said the developer of the wildly popular game.

"Saints of Los Angeles," the first single from the group's upcoming album, will be available for download for 99 cents beginning on Tuesday via Microsoft Corp's Xbox Live Marketplace and on Thursday via Sony Corp's PlayStation store, said Viacom Inc's MTV Games.

In "Rock Band," gamers play along to songs with controllers shaped like a guitar, drum set, or microphone. The game is sold for about $170 for consoles such as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It competes with the similarly popular "Guitar Hero" series, made by Activision Inc.

Their success has underscored the potential of video games as a new source of revenue for a music industry grappling with falling CD sales.

"Rock Band" went on sale last November, and now has more than 80 tracks available for download in addition to the 58 tracks in the original game. MTV Games said players have bought more than 6 million downloadable songs for Rock Band. Tunes range from classics by the likes of the Who and the Rolling Stones to more-contemporary fare from the Killers and Fall Out Boy.

Details of Motley Crue's album are expected to be announced during a news conference in Hollywood on Tuesday.

The hard-living metal band, which rose to prominence during the glam-metal era in the late-1980s, is famed for such tunes as "Dr. Feelgood" and "Shout at the Devil."

Alexandre......Thanks much. Joe's is awesome and it's always great to see him up close like that. Cheers

Woolyman...... Again it was great meeting Joe. I got my JSX head aprox. a week + 1/2 before the meet. I'm so impressed with this amp. I called the GC to see if it would be ok if Joe would sign it and they gave me the Green light. Yes, It means the world to me. I've also got my Strat signed by Chris Duarte. BTW..... there was a guy in line that had the Crystal Planet JS1200. The body and pup covers are clear. Man, was this a cool guitar. They only made 200 and his SN was #4. Joe had signed it previously....actually Joe drew one of his famous stick poeple on the volume/tone cover on the back. It was an awesome day and with Joe signing the JSX head threw it over the top.

Webmaster Jon...... Thanks for the update. Much appreciated. Looking forward to the vid. Take Care

QOTD.......Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

Have A Great Day Everyone.......and Dance ! ! ! !

only bad thing is the Le and M-powered versions are only 32 tracks, but u can have as many insturment and midi trakcs as u want, So instead of using wavs for strings and durms and things, Ill rewire them into reason and just record the guitars from PT that should work grand
