Good Morning Satchland...... Another beautiful morn in Chicago. It's going to the 70's today. Yippie.......you know the rest....lol.... "Bring it On ! ! ! ! ! "
Cheese.......Coudn't agree more with you on Joe's acoustic work. Let's not foget "Tears In The Rain" I saw Joe play this "Live" and what a beautiful piece of music this is. That song is not easy to play. I took me about a month or longer to get that one. I recorded a version in my studio with my Strat( don't own and acoustic) with the synth bass just like the record. If I remember right there is one tiny little flub I was going to fix but never did.....lol..... If you're interested I'll email this to you. Hugs ......of course.
Have a Great Day Everyone ! ! ! ! !

what i love more about Satch is that he proves you dont have t be hugely proficient as a player t write great sounding music, i,m not saying he is not a proficient player, that would be silly, its just that he makes his music on a level all can enjoy & play t some extent, the instrumental guitar idea needs more of that i feel, prolly why Inst Guit nose dived in the 90,s & brought on itself Soundscape Grunge?¿ is for lack of it
a thought--i think an awful lot of peeps get caught up on what they cant do as opposed t focusing on what they can & making art of it, shame really, some great music out there locked up in fear
anyhoos back t the apple cart, l8trs peeps

Mark : as you need cover for t2jdc3, i've started to work onto House full of Bullets... & the idea is growing... it will be a cover very free.. more a "Variation from House Full of Bullets Theme" than a cover.. keep you posted.
Roy : Lot of people have been burnt alive just because others people get fear.

HEY JOE,
I have the Live Satriani DVD playing while I'm cleaning the house. I'm having a birthday party for my pop on Saturday. I want to make it a big deal and get the family together. He has stage 4 rectal cancer, so this birthday is a precious one. Anyways, I missed most of the music due to the sound of the vacuum. I finally stopped to sit down and have some oj, and AWM,AWY came on. It's always been my favorite song - probably since the first time I heard it. It's such an emotional song, and every note takes me for a ride. It used to be a great song, but now that you've extended it, it's nothing less than amazing. The end of the song is so uplifting and spiritual and full of hope. Even when we lose the people (and animals) we love, they're always with us. This song reminds me of that every time I hear it, and just makes those big bumps on life's road a little easier to get over. Thank you Joe for the beautiful music that plays inside your beautiful head. It goes from your heart straight into ours. God bless you, and remember, I love you...but I don't luuuuuv you ;-)

Cheese - surely McKenna isn't really scared? He loves the ladies I thought.... he'd look after you really cos all T2J'ers are nice like that! Actually having read some posts (from Cubazoid for example), maybe Mr McKenna isn't so much into the ladies lol I hope you get to go to the shows, you know it'll be awesome
Slanshroom - 2 questions for you... 1, am I losing the plot or have your tunes disappeared from myspace? I have a listen from time to time (followed by sulking because I wish I could play like that....) but can't get them at the mo 2, have you been to Andalusia? I have a feeling you mentioned it in a post. What's it like, as I think I might be holidaying there, according to her indoors anyway
Dream3 - I love the currency conversion when it comes to a trip down under.... works great for me ; ) but my aussie friends do say how much it sucks. I think it's just a tax we put on you because you have such a lovely country and climate - and we have rain LOL
Joe Satriani - hi Joe, I've just spotted a cool riff on Andalusia that (for me) first appeared on the Satch tapes. Have you been saving that riff for the right moment, or is Andalusia (or a previous version of it) something you've been working on for some time, perhaps even around or before the time the Satch tapes was recorded (rather like Come on Baby and Banana Mango/II were a long time evolving)?
Do the Stu - can you help with my AWMAWY video question?
Have a gread day everyone....

This joke is very poor....
There once was an onion. This onion met another onion. They soon fell in love. The onions were soon blessed with a baby onion.
Daddy onion worked late.He rarely got to see his son. One day, when momma onion was cleaning the dishes, baby onion went downstairs and went out the front door. The baby onion went into the road and was hit by a car.
The doctors approached the onions in the waiting room of the hospital. "Is he dead?" asked Mamma onion.
The doctor replied: "No, but I'm afraid he's going to be a vegetable for the rest of his life".
Sorry....

I agree. My spirit is touched by Joe's music rather than his proficiency with the instrument. That's why, for instance, I prefer Joe to Vai. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Joe isn't an excelent guitarist, or Vai's music is bullshit
Michelle
AWMAWY was what first hooked me to Satch. Tears came to my eyes the first time I heard the tapping part. It's still my favourite one.
Keniko
I wish Joe would show more of himself with an acoustic on his hands. He does it lovely. Though previously posted before here, it's worth having a look to I belive
