Zen>yeap that takes me back t college days, i used t own every tuition vid i felt of use, i owe a lot t Mr Berlin & Gambale & btw i,ve been using a rag round the 3rd fret for playin solos the last 25 years, over ADGBE & under the low E, pain in the arse when y need t play open strings, especially mid song & the cloth gets stuck around fret 2, must get me one of those Batten string dampers, they really do wonders for fast clean passages, especially if like me y prefer a string below the fret action
Its another case of taking an old idea from another & making cash out of it, however i feel it couldnt happen t a better musician, Batten is brilliant plus she evolved the idea great link & thx, expect t see me with one!

do the stu- yeah that girl can play but i don't think shes ready for the big leagues. at the risk of being repetitive, i think the best guitarists are ones with some jazz background. i have seen some really good guitarist mentioned here. have you seen this guy?

Hi Joe, thanks for the lessons on youtube. I really appreciate it. If you have time, please keep posting them. Your guitar tone on Crystal Planet is great, it really sings. Your playing on Crystal Planet seems like you were not just playing fast, but there is a lot of melody to it. Do you concentrate on that aspect more as you write, or is it happening naturally? One last thing if you don't mind, what would you suggest for new pickups to intall on a 2 humbucker Fender Showmaster guitar I'm currently re-vamping for my daughter? She loves the sound you got on Crystal Planet. Thanks, Kevin

Zen...chimps evolve real slow, TV & bad radio is the crime, however Batten learnt a lot under maestro Jeff & she evolved for sure from the experience....i wonder where music takes her now?... the damper idea will sure give her money & time t ponder where next

Hello joe, my name is Arnold and I am the repair guy that restored the little Bruno guitar that I hope you received from Big Bend's Nut Sauce. I was just wondering if you got this guitar and how you liked it. As this was a fun little guitar to relax on after playing electrics all day. I believe we seen side pictures of you with it in a guitar player magazine a little while back. I no longer work with Big Bend's, as I am now making guitars for Heritage Guitars in Kalamazoo, Michigan out of the old Gibson plant. I would love to hear and see a picture of you with this guitar since I restored this guitar originally for my brother in law, who also worked for Big Bend's. My little nephew played this quitar quite often and there may be pick scratches from his heavy handiness. They would be very happy to know if your are enjoying this as much as he did. If your ever in Kalamazoo, we would be more than happy to give you a tour of the Old Gibson Plant / Heritage Factory. Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you whenever you have a chance. P.S. the new album definitely ROCKS! The more you listen, the better it gets! Thanks! Arnold

TY chelle....cute babies, oh, and the bunny too, although that bunny was just looking for a good time I'm thinkin...... ;)
Tonight I had the sliding glass door open, screen door closed....and a neighbor kitty came onto the back porch, cute lil black kitty....OMG my FOUR cats lined up at the screen door and acted like the devil hisself was out there....my Bellamy, the quietest and scardiest-cat of all of them, was HOWLING repeatedly, really loudly at this poor baby....what a bully belly is, LOL.....
Do I need another kitty? .........................................it wants to come in soooooooooooooooo bad....................................

Slan : what i call chimps is kind of guys more directed by their testoterone than by their brain, & who take guitar as an appendage of their cock.
If you want news about Jennifer Batten, you can check his website There's a new cd called "Whatever", which gets a high production level.
Apparently she's not a prolific composer, but she gets an impressive career (touring with Michael Jackson, composing, performing & touring with Jeff Beck).
We can count her as a genuine virtuoso & tone experimental.
& yeap, sounds like she learnt a lot with Maestro Jeff. But who didn't?
