Mc, I'm staying at Blooms in the Temple Bar area....and it's kinda too late to tell me if it's safe or not =/ I'm already booked! It has a restaurant which is CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays ffs...guess I just won't eat fer two days....has a nightclub apparently, the website said it's very popular and busy! I think I can walk to and from Vicar St from there though.
What am I getting myself into......holee geez.......
And PS, what I'm freaking out even more about is getting from Dublin to Belfast and back....u say it's easy, but that's cuz it's familiar to U....for me, it's all new and strange....

Less than 10 mins walk from the venue and theres a nightclub in the hotel alright or beside it or something... with 3 floors haha, its fine really, its near where i go college and near everything really.... pretty busy on the weekends i guess
bus station that goes to belfast is 10 mins walk away too and is 24 hours, and it will take 2-2.5 hrs on a bus to get there.... but you are an American who was givin a free passport and doesnt know what season it is in Ireland but hey, what ya gonna do lady
Theres a funny bum in that area that got out of rehab and jail, if u see him, run away hes always drunk and startin fights its pretty funny though, theres an awfull lot of weirdos around there.... + this nice gitarist street performer who plays a lot of lead work over looped guitar sounds he makes, pretty good and fun to watch.... other than that yeah, i wouldnt worry to much ya lunatic

They probably arent Irish M, only tourists and foreign people go to those places... Irish people know better
after my exams were finished there last monday we couldnt find anywhere open late except for one of those kinda "irish pubs" with the music and the fun and craic and all that stuff, jaysus it was full of all sorts doin there little riverdance jigs pissed off their heads, we were probably the only Irish people in there and the sobarist too, pretty funny though, looks exactly like that... fun times there was a lot of Luni's there too

OMG yer all having so much fun with this, ain'tcha....go on, keep it up...you'll miss me when I disappear!!!! I guess this is all "old hat" to Joe, he travels all the time....I'm a newbie...u shud be skerred for me =/ And my passport wadn't FREE Mckenna...cost plenty! I can't believe Ireland is going to be the first place I use it to go to...ffs.....
Chelle....how could u forget the ditch, that was the best part, LOL....as for droppin me britches, I think they require that to get into Ireland so.......or maybe it's to get out.....only God knows what trouble i'll find....and He ain't talkin. Thanks fer the songs...jailbreak may well be the theme of the trip all right....but Metallica...hell yeah!
Yeah Austin, Chris is peeved that when Joe plays here in Portland, the venue decides they wanna sell booze so make it 21+...the last show he was able to go to in Portland was in April 2005. So next year, for G3....he'll be juuuuuust right :)
Nice hat Scott...it looks kinda familiar, lol....
Revan 2008....yes, I believe Joe likes science fiction, he talked about certain authors at one of his platinum meet and greets with someone from this site....I can't remember the author's names unfortunately, I think Kurt Vonnegut was one of them though...I have the feeling that Joe reads lots of different things, or at least he absorbs lots of different things, LOL....
Dave DC...no problem....this is a great site, you're in the right place. Maybe teach your daughter to play!! :)
mikesb, will do...dunno how much looking around I'll get to do while there, but if I see that statue, I'll toast it and take a pic for you. As for me dancing....I'ma be lucky to make it there and back in one piece...the Irish are all feckin crazy!
