Joe - just wanted to send a VERY BIG thanks for the incredible GC session in Chicago. What superstar does that? I was blown away at how nice, inviting and thoughtful you were. I only wish it lasted a bit longer ! I never in my life thought I actually get the opportunity to meet you, shake your hand and get a photo with you ! It was truly a wonderful experience and I just wanted to extend my thanks & gratitude for the time you took out of you schedule to do something like that. Thanks also for allowing us to take photo's - it's great to look back and remember the experience. Also, love you new album ! You never fail to amaze me. I can't imagine the process it takes to get an album out..all the studio time, schedule setting with the band, etc...Thank you, thank you, thank you. Before I sound like a crazed fan, I again just wanted to thank you and congratulate you on your new album..and career. Looking forward to the next show !

Blue Buffalo, yep, that was me and Chris at the front of the line....u shuda stopped and said hey!

Just got back from GC with Joe in Clackamas....holee gawd it was so wonderful to connect up with Joe again in person....he was fantastic as always, played incredibly, talked and taught and shared so much...then had about 400 people in line for autographs afterwards so no time for photos...but I did take some during the event and got some (I hope) great video, so once I get home will post stuff up.

Mahavishnu Brian, and wife....nice to meet you, sorry I didn't get a chance to chat with the wife but she's lovely!! And even better that she's a big Joe-fan :)

Chris got to ask the last audience question, so he asked Joe about the song Ghosts, what was his inspiration for that...Joe said he was the first to ask him about it, so that was cool...he talked about thinking about meeting up with a ghost and what it might make a person feel like....that he's never actually seen a ghost or met an alien but he writes about them all the time, LOL....and that actually, with the special pedal he used, he loved that little phrase in the song so ended up choosing it for iTunes as the bonus track. Geez, there was more he said but I can't write it all...one guy made the comment that Joe is the new "classical music" of our time, which I think touched Joe.

Oh, and Chris won one of the prizes in the drawings, a new Joe-strap that he didn't have yet, cool!!

Got a chance to chat with Mick, say hey and be careful out there to Mike who was very smiley....and got our Joe-hugs, which I can say....I needed in THEEEEE worst way...thanks Joe.

If I could, we'd head north to Seattle to do it all again tomorrow...but I really can't afford it....we got to GC at 10:30 this morning and $600 later were finally standing in line before 1:30 to see Joe at 6.....Chris spent all his monies ffs...such a dangerous place to hang out, lol!! I can't imagine taking him to yet another GC, Seattle.....my purse coudln't take it!! Wonder if I could leave him here and go by myself.....

There's something so uplifting about just being in the same room with Joe...he exudes happiness somehow....and I plugged into it and took as much as I could. It amazed me that I could actually have feelings of happiness tonight...it's been a long time, and still tough times ahead, but a dose o' Joe helps bunches.

Thanks Joe....can't wait to see you out there again some day....and Chris is so excited about his opportunity with you coming up...just whenever you have the free time, no hurry :)

Hello.

I am a photographer living i Sweden. I have just arrived back from a photo session in Mathare slum area i Nairobi, Kenya. I plan to make some non comercial slideshows based on photos from the slum and wonder if it is OK to use some parts of the music from the album Surfing with the alien as back ground music in the slideshow?

joe satrini - yes, the last newsletter was mailed out. another will be going out later tonight so check your spam settings and folder and also make sure your account preferences show you are subscribed.

big bunny - upgrade package links will be going up later tonight on the tour page so check there.

do the stu - that's a funny story about being recognized in your same t-shirt! the footage from the SWTA anniversary shows is of varied quality-- we have a decent one of the new york show but it doesn't nearly have the vibe and intensity of the hyde street closer which (since it was in a small studio) has a rougher look. you can see samples of that on the live tracks that are on the bonus DVD. and speaking of crushing day, i lobbied hard to make sure we included crushing day as one of those tracks specifically because we know how much the fans love it and wanted something in decent quality they could enjoy watching again and again. i had a little fun pulling in the three different performances (NY, LA, SF) into that one version. i am currently working on a way to formalize getting some satch content into a virtual tour to small clubs through another company i have (www.virtualvenues.net) and i'm hopeful something will come of that by the end of the year.

hi joe haven't seen my last message posted yet. moved to Israel and can not find anywhere where i can buy your cd/dvd. it seems that a lot of pirating goes on here. damn! tower records appears to have gone out of bus. if i have to get your music by hook or crook i will. where should i send the money??

secondly, i bought a JS1000 and the whammy bar hits the knob control when pulled out. took it to music exchange in chicago but they said it couldn't be fixed. would have to change the whole action on the guitar.strings would now be to high off the fretboard. any suggestions?

love what i have heard so far (website) from your new cd.

DO THE STU- just noticed you come from Long Beach, i've had the priviledge of visiting your City a couple of times, to take a couple of strolls on the Queen Mary. I have an Aunt, Uncle and 6 Cousins scattered about the L.A. area, and when i'm there i usually stay with one of those Cousins who stays in Cerritos, do you know it. SATRIELLA- glad you've still got the car, we cant have you missing Joe's Gigs. Have a good day everyone.

Ugh...I was at work for 45 minutes longer than I should have been tonight. I'll get overtime, which is nice, but it sucks when the hours are so late to begin with. Working 3:30 p.m. to 12:45 a.m. isn't fun at all. So do me a favor everyone and click here and here so I feel like the hours I spent uploading stuff to the websites was worth it. Go watch the Miss Grand Prix swimsuit prelim video at the PT site or something. Thanks... ;-)

webmaster - Thanks for the extra SWTA info, and for pushing for Crushing Day's inclusion on the bonus DVD. And about my comment, it's not like I was expecting video of a full anniversary show or anything like that...but I feared the quality in general was really bad and you were forced to splice together multiple performances for Crushing Day because you had no other choice (like Led Zeppelin's The Song Remains The Same, haha). But you said you had fun doing it, so that probably wasn't the case. Thanks again...
maritime - Those videos were pretty cool...thanks for sharing.
cheese101 - Awesome...I'm glad the Guitar Center thing worked out for you and Chris. I look forward to seeing your photos and video. Speaking of, I need to get my photos and video up online.
campbell - I like Long Beach a lot. It's HUGE, and it's such a diverse place it almost seems like it's three or four different cities in one. I live downtown, so I'm pretty close to the Queen Mary. I've never taken a proper tour of the ship, but I went there for a haunted ghost ship Halloween thing a few years ago that was a lot of fun.

Are you planning on coming back to California any time in the near future?

...Austin...

I just had my best mate ring me from Melbourne Australia to tell me of the July 11 concert at the Forum. I am ecstatic as I have appreciated your music forever. Are the tickets at the Forum, available to purchase from the USA, because I would fly down there just to see you, and are they only sold as a package deal?

Hello Joe, I allways wanted to tell you how genious you are and how much respect I have toward you. Your songs are my source of inspiration. You know how to allways compose new things in different scales and to transpose many times at the same song without mistakes. To show you my support, I made covers of some of your famous songs like "The Extremist", "Up in Flames" and "If I could Fly" and I'll make more so as everybody knows who is "Satch"! You are not well-Known in Morocco but I hope this situation will change soon! My dream is to be on one of your concerts but I don't think you would make a tour on Morocco. So I'll wait until I go to Europe then be sure that I will be on the first places! My dream is to meet you, give you a big hug and if possible play with you even for 2 minutes, and of course to have your autograph :) Keep on going master!

With my respect and love <3 A girl called "Zineb"

Satriani, I´m your biggest fan, but I had to say that your last video clip (I Wanna Rock) is ridiculous. It is silly, childish and borring...You have beatutiful videos as "I Believe". Why don´t you start doing things more mature and profound as I know you can?!
