Hey Joe . . See ya soon!

Kayla . . . . Sorry to hear that you've been hurt yet again . . . Life does go on sweety . . . U just gotta hang in there . . .

Zen . . . Yeh . . That was the beginning of the end for Jimi . . . a very sad end to a very great talent . . I used to think i needed to be high to create "Deepness" . . it's all in your mind which will slowly but surely deteriorate with drug taking and turn everything to mush . . its not good at all . . the beginning of a slippery slope that gets more and more treacherous and unforgiving . .

Jimi changed the way the guitar was played and viewed forever when he came along and did his thing . .

Maxi Magnet : I think SRV has all summarized about Hendrix with this sentence " I don't think that Hendrix played the Blues; Hendrix played the Music." When you keep in mind that SRV played the Blues, was the Blues, this means a lot..

Hendrix was a great pop song writer. He was an insane blues player. He has put into Electric LadyLand all the lessons he has taken from Haendel. & the Cry of Love shows that he had definitly reached the Jimmy Page's level onto studio. When you know what was Page into a studio in the 60's.. ask to Vai..

Jimi was straight ahead his time on instrumental & virtuoso aspect of guitar : Drivin south is a good example

& he never stops to push the boundaries..

If you listen well to Jam Back at the House this song prefigures techno music : beat & "seriel" riff.

Curiously, Hendrix changing everything while he fell down makes me think about Van Halen.

& if you really search nowadays who, since the 70's, plays the Music onto guitar.. you find Jeff Beck.

but that's lot of babbling for one fish this last few days.

Hey Joe, I watched your amazing show in Oporto, had the luck of getting a meet & greet. Unfortunatelly it wasn't a 60 minute meet & greet as it is for NZ, but what the hell. I'm the guy with the St. Satriani's day tshirt. It was truly an honour meeting you, your music has been inspiring me for the last 20 years. For that, my big, big, huge, thank you. Loved to meet the band, you are all great guys, I was so excited that only after it was over i realized Jeff wasn't present at the meet & greet, also I was planing to ask you for a pick, unfortunately only remembered that outside the theatre.

Bottom line I was thrilled to meet you and the rest of the guys in the band.

My best wishes for all of you guys, and a long, happy life full of music for you Joe.

Hi Joe, I've got a 9 year old (almost 10) named Ryan who idolizes you. He's learning to play the guitar and when he found out you were coming to Oz in July he desperately wanted to see your show. He thinks we're not going and he'll have to miss out but I got him tickets for his birthday (surprise surprise) so we'll be looking forward to seeing your show. I've been listening to your stuff for years so personally I can't wait. See you in Oz.

Hey Peeps !
Podcast nº2 is already available ! Don't miss Palau de la Musica images with the soundtrack of Andalusia !
Joe,
I told you from the very first time when the venues of the tour were fixed that you won't forget the venue this time in BCN. The fact that you take some time in the podcast to show it, confirms that
We, spanish fans, we thank you back all your sweetness with us, and I hope you're looking forward to coming back in 2009 with the G3, as I told you in the Club Joe Meet and Greet
Keep on rocking The World !

Webmaster:

About the apparent inconsistency between the mexican tour dates, thank you very much for the answer.

I'm really interested in getting good seats for both shows in case the second date is indeed confirmed. The only problem now is, I can't plan for how long to save the needed money or use it meanwhile for other purposes I have in mind. Tour dates in satriani.com say tickets will be on sale simultaneously (today, one hour from now) for both dates, but everything points towards Ticketmaster is going to release tickets only for the first date.

I would thank you some further information about the august 13 show, to be ready.

Saludos a todos!

Dear Proffesor Satchafunkilus,

Past saturday, the 10th of May i have seen your concert in the 013 in Tilburg. It was a totally awsome show! I could totally relate to the music vibe and i've enjoyd it so much that i still am enjoying it. I think we possibly made some eyecontact, but can't be sure 'couse you (ofcourse) were wearing your sunglasses haha. Anyway i was on the front row at your left near Stu and it was great!

Now i was looking at your website witch looks terribly good and i love the fact that you make te podcasts of the shows you've had and your experiences on it. I'ts really fun to watch! Also super that you explain what made you write the songs on the last album with the little movies. It really gives me an extra drive to make my own music too and gives the feeling i can acomplish a lot as long as you do your own thing and your best!

Now, i wanted to say, Come on Baby is such a beautiful song! I saw/heard you wrote it for your wife and tink thats really sweet! Some girls like your music too you know ;)

Furthermore, i love the new video of 'I just wanna rock' also the goofy stuff in beginning, it lets me and all other fans see a bit of how you are and that's very fun and nice to know! I could not stop laughing 'couse it's so goofy.

Well, enough ass kissing and back to making some music! ;) good luck on the rest of your tour, hope you have safe flights and sutch and respect and regards to the rest of your touring band members! Hope to enjoy more of your music for many years longer and see you later!

Greetings, Maud van Maarseveen! I wanna rock, I wanna rock, I want to learn how to rock with You!

I saw Rush in Irvine last night. This was my fourth time seeing them (once on R30, twice on S&A, and then last night) and it was by far the best set (pacing, crowd response, etc.).

The band sounded great, as expected. Who else is seeing them on this tour?

luisja - It's too bad that you missed the Satch show. Joe probably won't be back in Europe until his next G3 tour or he releases a new album. It could be early 2009 if it's G3 or not until 2010 if it's an album.

Why couldn't you attend? Was it a health issue? I hope you're doing OK...

Igneousiceman - That cello SWTA video is awesome...thanks.
JoeSatrini - I just looked through your setlist and I'd be very pleased with a show like that. My favorite run of songs is probably 8 through 17. Good choices...
cheese101 - Thanks for sharing that Workshop Live video...it's pretty cool. I wonder if the backing track Joe was playing over is something he came up with or if it's from the Workshop Live people...? I like it...

And in the Satch / Deep Purple video, yes, Joe is playing a Steve Morse model Music Man guitar. I seem to remember hearing about that here when it happened. I want to say Joe just went to the show without expecting to jam with Deep Purple, but it just sort of happened. Joe didn't have his guitars with him so he used one of Steve's...

gtrhack - I wasn't aware of any Satch/Hagar/Anthony footage out there. When is it from? I assume it's from the Planet Us period a few years ago?
alexandrecaetano - Thanks for the info on Out Of The Sunrise... :-)

Do you have a current email address for Julie, and if so can you send it to me? I have a Gmail one for her but I'm not sure if she still uses it. I sent her a message a few weeks ago but haven't heard back... I haven't talked to her in a few years but am wondering what she's up to.

REVAN 2008 - Time Machine is my favorite Satch album cover as well...his cover art so rarely has anything to do with the title of the album, but this one does and it's cool.

...Austin...
