Hmmm...we're already four shows into the tour and no one has been asking why the crowds are "booing" Stu. What gives? ;-)

ibanezguitars - Congrats on winning the aftershow passes. You'll find that Joe is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, both among musicians and people in general. Enjoy the show as well...it's much more fun when you know what's coming at the end of the night.

alexandrecaetano - I know you said you didn't want to spoil the concerts for other people, but can you at least tell me whether Joe played Out Of The Sunrise? That's my favorite PSATMOR track...

Yes, I did know that Dredg's singer is from Portugal...that's pretty cool. And it's awesome that you got to meet him as well. What do you think of their music? I saw them in concert a week or two ago...they played five new songs at the show that sounded VERY good. I can't wait to hear their new album.

Also, you mentioned Denver...do you by any chance still keep in touch with Julie (juju808)? I haven't talked to her in a long while and wonder what she's up to...

jblaze1 - Awesome...you'll love the DT show. Please make sure you're on time so you can see Three at the start of the show. I was first exposed to them when they opened the two Porcupine Tree shows I went to last year. I bet you'll really like them.

I'm not really a fan of BTBAM or Opeth because of the Cookie Monster vocals, but I enjoyed both of their live sets. Musically they were very interesting, and they were mixed in a way where the vocals didn't overpower the music. So that was good.

Let me know how your show is...

JS JS - The US tour will be in August / September, but dates haven't yet been announced.
elilucero - Joe lives in Northern California so he will most definitely be playing a gig there later this year. You can count on San Francisco for sure, and maybe a second show somewhere like Sacramento or Santa Rosa.

Hi !

There is a discussion on a forum about this song.

Some say it's Joe, some say it's a fake. It seems that it's a live guitar duet.

ACOUSTIC IMPROVISATION

I'm personnaly quite sure it's a fake...

Has anyone got the final word ?

Friendly, from France Beedoo

Hi Joe, l don't now if you gonna ever read this massage but if you do you'd better know that you are great inspiration to me and my future wife. She listens every time when l play to her Always with me, always with you. Yes, l play guitar but l'm a special player, because l play guitar only with three fingers, my first finger was cut of about 13 years ago. They stich it back but it's useless so l had to find a new way how to play again. Everything l know about the guitar l have learned myself. Joe, you are a very special and mistirious player. l have been always asking myself how did you put this song together, l think: with pasion and love to music. Music is your life, so is mine, it's a great world when we are in it, so we gonna stay there as long as possibile. Be well.

Joe I am gonna test your memory. How well to you remember 89-91? I personally have very fond memories of those years and the time we spent together as you prepared for tours. I will give you two words and challenge you to remember who I am. HUN SOUND. Another hint is that there is someone, other than me, registered on this site by the name you should remember me by. I eagerly await your reponse and hope that we will be able to remenise when you have the time.

TheMagician - That's a cool video...where'd you come across it? I watched a bit of another video of hers after that; it's cool to see someone so young playing instrumental guitar music.

beedoo - That doesn't sound like Joe at all. The first 45 seconds are interesting, but the rest of the clip almost sounds like stereotypical acoustic guitar work...definitely not something Joe would record. He'd put his own twist on it, and I just don't hear that in the clip.

Hi! I'm new here, but not new as a Satriani fan!

I'm going to attend Satriani's show next Friday in Geneva. I'm really looking into it, 'cause it'll be my first *real* concert! You know, if you live most of your life in the very south of Portugal, it doesn't give you many opportunities to attend good shows (or any show at all!) without traveling and spending a lot! But now that I moved into Geneva, I couldn't miss this chance! Hoorray!

I added my name to the list of attendees in the Geneva show, so that I could have a chance of visiting the backstage. That would be awesome! But I am going with 3 friends of mine, great fans of Satriani's too, and it wouldn't be fair if I could visit the backstage but not all of us. I mean, assuming I (or any of us) would be chosen at all! But I'm always positive with these things, and even though the odds are small, they're non-zero, right? ;-)

So, my question is: is it possible at all that we, as group of 4, could apply for a backstage visit?? I know that if that would be possible, loads of groups would like to do it too, so I'm not very hopeful, but it doesn't hurt to ask... 'cause even if I'm given that chance, I don't think I'll go if my friends can't go. And I would make them really happy if it would be possible, 'cause they wouldn't expect it! And I owe them a lot!

Anyway, I just wanted to know if there's any chance at all that my group could visit the backstage, even if we were given a smaller odd at the ballot with respect to individuals. All in all, we have the main show to attend, and I bet it will be AWESOME!!!

Put in simple terms, all I really wanted to ask in my (know that I took a look at it, a rather long) post is: if I ever get a aftershow pass, may I take 3 friends with me, or is it just an individual pass?
