In one of the videos of summer song does anyone think the bassist is trying to steal the spotlight from joe? I find it kinda annoying. don't get me wrong he is good but he should have stayed back a little.

I am having an online argument with someone on youtube.

In the "always with me, always with you" music video is he really playing or is he faking.

I KNOW he isn't playing because he doesn't even have a chord coming out of the guitar and they wouldn't record outside. But the other person is too proud to confess that he is wrong.

So do you think he is actually playing or just pretending and going along with the studio version?

You're welcome ;) Not sure if this song All for Love had the X cover link thingie, but its another ripper from the new album! Classic Snake! The solo that comes in around 3:34 reminds me a little of Joe's older stuff....AND if love ballads are you're thing the new album has ya covered too: All I Want All I Need... Enjoy!

Hi everyone!

The Lisbon concert was absolutely astonishingly mega fabulous!

I make alexandre's words my own. Great concert!! Time machine, wow, crushing day, boom.

alexandre, cheese - yeah, it WAS "ghosts"!!! I heard him announce it before he started playing!

alexandre - what a great evening man! Can't wait to see all your photos.

Well, since this is "talk 2 joe" after all, I hereby express my sincere gratitude to you, Joe, for this great concert!!! At this moment you're probably playing "Crowd chant" in Oporto, and if they can match the Lisbon show (which I'm sure they can), you won't be listening to me with the massive sound of the good old portuguese hospitality, but THANK YOU, anyway.

Miguel <-- satch fan

Hi peeps,

I'm asking for prayers again for my papa John. He's in a lot of pain tonight, and says if it doesn't let up, he's going to have to go to the hospital. I know how much he hates hospitals, so the pain has to be really bad for him to say that. My poor mum don't know what to do.

Last night my daughter walked in her schools Relay for Life walk. She held a picture of her poppy throughout the night. I sent her a text message at 10 p.m. when I thought she'd be done walking. She sent me a message back saying that she was walking the survivor lap. She told me they said that anyone who's lived one day with cancer is a survivor.

So if you all could pray and send good vibes to my parents John and Vivian, we'd all really appreciate it.

Thanks, Shel

JOE.

I would like to use "Flying in a Blue Dream" as the backing track to a video I am working on for a Car Club I belong to. It is a non profit organisation and there would be no money made from this video.

The video will be available at no cost to members of our club only and I was wondering, who should I contact in reference to permissions to use this track? Obviously I would not want to breach any copyright laws.

The idea came about for this track from a Promo photo you did back in the 80's for the same album, where you where standing in front of teh Metallic Blue Chevvy Corvette with your guitar (Do you remember that one??? it was my favourite shot back then) and I wanted to use my Car which is Metallic Blue as the focal point for the Video as well as other members Cars - but trying to keep it focused on the "Blue" Theme. :)

Any help would be appreciated.

Carl.

Well Hello my dear friend,

I want to thank you for the great show you gave yesterday night in PORTO. It was fantastic!!!

I´ve been waiting for a long time to get the oportunitty to see you playing live and, i dare to say, for sure, that was a good deal to wait. Thank you!

I´ve been a fan of your music for a long time, i have all your records (the first cd i ever get was Surfing with the allien because the LP i have was so waisted i could not hear it clear and beautifull as on cd, mainly "Always with me Always with you" that it is my favourite song.

Last thing to say, yesterday i brought my 13 year old daughter with me to the show. It was her "baptism" concerning Rock concerts. You won another fan!

Keep on rockin, and, once again, thank you very much for your concert and your music. I take the oportunity to congratulate you on the good musicians that accompany you on stage. Boy, they are very good.

Well the message is allready too long. I hope i can see you playing again soon in Portugal, and, who knows, get the chance to shake hands(he, he, he...). Once again THANK YOU!

Always with you

Rui Trindade

Hey Joe . . . Love you (-:

I dont think it really matters whether Joe is playing or miming in the videos he does . . . .

I mean we all know he can play so what does it matter?

Its all the other so called musicians ie The pussycat dolls and all that kinda pop trash that mime and are not really credible at all . . . I feel they are killing music with the image over talent thing . .It really irritates me when these acts get called musicians . . . how can u call someone who sings and dances to music not written by themselves and they get called musicians? They're just like puppets who cant do nuthin unless someone pulls their strings . . . The music is awful. Sure there is a performing side to it but i always thought that a musician is someone who writes their own music? Not having someone write it for them?

Hip hoppers and rappers who sample other's music just so they have a backing to rap over are called musicians???

Why cant they write their own music???

Because they cant!

They would rather steal someone else's . . Its not like its a cover version . . . just cheap!

If they took the time out to learn to play like Joe or just learn to play then i would think "Well give credit where credit's due, at least they wrote and perfomed it themselves. . .

We have a girlband in the UK called Girls aloud and they are advertising chocolate bars for goodness sake!

CHEAP ! ! ! ! Its more about sex than the music . .

Joe would u ever advertise a chocolate bar?

I seriously doubt it!!

There will alway be great music around . . I hope!

As long as we have Joe!

Sorry . rant over

Needed to get sumat out!

Have a great day everybody!

Magnetizer - I see your point but I would personally rather have the equivalent value of chocolate than a computer game.

Cappy . . Computer game??? forgive me for sounding dumb! I know that Girls aloud will make a pretty penny from their ad but its such cringeworthy tv ad!!!

The fact that people think they're credible coz they've had lots of top ten hits? . . . . What about the Spice girls? A lifetime acheivement award for services to music?

THAT'S A JOKE!!!

Like most music critics and journalists . . THEY SUCK!!!

I remember reading in Mojo amgazine their top 50 guitarists . . . It was a joke . . . Joe wasnt even in the list, nor was Vai or Gilbert . . although there was some relevent choices like Robert Johnson . . . and other blues legends but it was otherwise crap and outta touch!

I've got a guitar book that has got Vai in it but totaly ommited Joe . . . GRRRRRRR ! ! ! !

He taught Steve!

Like Steve himself said If there is a time that he feels there is any kinda competiton between him and Joe he just simply says . .

"I just remember what he did for me"

Well said Mr Vai !

AHHH!!! Was u thinking of 50 cents ps2 game?

A question.

Has anyone got a comment about Joe's guest work on Ian Gillan's 2006 album 'Gillan's Inn'?

Edit - Magnetizer, I was referring to the NASCAR game which has the Satchmeister's music. Don't get me wrong though, I have no love for the likes of Girls Aloud. Although I hope you agree that everyone has the right to earn a living, it's the dopey prats that buy into that stuff who make me smile.
