hey guys, i came around again than disappeared but it's for good reasons! I was asked to join an upcoming band and things have been picking up very quickly!

Hoping everyone around here is doing well and still enjoying the new Joe album. I've been enjoying it ever day still since the release. So much inspiration..

Anyhow ~ if anyone is interested in what kind of stuff I do when not dancing around in an instrumental piece check out my band Red Lyte District over at www.myspace.com/redlytedistrict would really love some feed back from you guys as many of you have been guiding with this whole guitar thing since I was like 15 years old. Always encouraging me to continue with it. So for that I thank you guys. You know who you are ~

Thanks again guys for your time and thank you joe for allowing me this little spot on your website over the last 10 years to post about anything and everything.

I'll be sure to try to keep up more often with everything ~ between teaching and playing I've not had a moments rest. Stay well guys ~

Cheese --- OTZ

Chelle....hope the fam's doin well :)

Clarky...Stay lucky bro.

quick edit: Btw to anyone who checks out the songs, I recommend the ones that say "new" next to them :) they are fresh from the studio! cheers!

Hey Joe ; just a few words to say how i'm excited about seeing you again in Paris next 27th of may ! Always one of your records in my car to listen to good vibrations before going to work each day, since i discovered 'surfing ...' on the KNAC radio in L.A. some years ago. By the way, i'll be at the Rex with my little boy, who's just 8 years old, and already a fan ! This will be his first guitar night ... You better be good huh ! Keep it up straight to the top, and thank you so much for the great music. With much respect, Fouiz

Good Morning Satchland......Beautiful Morn in Chi-Town.

Thanks to all of you for the well wishes for my pop. He left for Mayo this morning and I'll keep you informed. Hugs to all of you.

Cheese.....Have fun dear. Play hard but play safe. Say Hi to Joe and Co. for all of us. I can't wait for the pics and your review. Hugs to you.

Guitarman...... With $300 for an amp I'd strongly reccomend the POD XT Live or any Pod in this price range. I think this will give you the most bang for the buck. If you need to play live this will hook directly to the PA plus it's a killer recording tool. At Line 6 they have the Tone Library where people upload sounds you can download into any Pod. If you need a sound for a certain song say for SRV, Satriani...etc. most likely somebody has uploaded this sound or at best it's a spring board for you to dial it in to taste. You'll never be short on sounds plus you can create your own library (stored in your computer)of sounds and transfer them through midi.....it's a cake walk to do. Check it out Line 6 Hope this helps

Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! ! !

Edit.....Those linky things bite me in ass everytime. You should see the marks......well.....on second thought ????

adanniels - Hey man, I'm sure at one time or another we've all had idea for guitars we've wanted to put out onto the market, trust me, I work with wood and I've experimented with a few designs and stuff but I never was satisfied with the shape or look of them.

Is there any way you could show us a rough drawing or sketch of what you envision this guitar looking like?

What field would this guitar aim at? What I mean is, are you thinking of a specific sound for the guitar or just a cool look? There are lots of guitars that work for different styles, are you think an overall guitar or a specific look and style?

I look forward to reading your response, and remember if you want to do something, you've got to really want it and push for it.

Good Luck man.

Hi Joe! Saw your show at Cardiff, and after all this time (15 years of being a fan) you still blew me away! I thought you played better than ever, and I've seen you play live a few times over the years..... My nephew who is 12 is a new fan and came too (he's learning to play, and is fascinated by you...) - as did my dad - a sprightly 64 - and he's been to the last 3 with me, and also agreed that the last show was your best!

My little nephew would like your autograph, and we stayed a while after the show but was told to leave......

Anyhow, I was the guy 4th row, stripey top...... (as if you saw me LOL!)

Take care, and enjoy the rest of the tour.

PS I hope you thought the Cardiff crowd had as good a time as I did!!!!

Hi Guys, long time no post! Went to see Joe at Bristol and was disappointed, not with Joe per se, but the sound setup. I've been to a few of his gigs over the years and have come across equally bad sound which boils down to overloaded PA when bass and drums kick in - you cannot make out the song, just Joe playing over a mess of distorted sound. As I was quite a way back in Bristol, and my last memeory of a bad sound setup at a satch gig was in Manchester (again towards the back of the hall), is it literally down to where you sit in these gigs i.e. nearer the front the better? Or is it the venue? Don't want to sound negative but wouldn't relish the thought of being disappointed again at the price I paid, lol. Maybe the best strategy is to book early and get better seats. Anyone have any tips...?

Alexandre - sorry for the delay... here's the info you wanted, and this is straight from the professor (well, via my pops!) on Monday night

Q "Is the tour being recorded for a live CD/DVD?"

A "Oh yeah, soon, probably Paris"

So there you go, cool beans! I hope that happens, awesome!

Cheese/Blue moon - hmmm, I'm thinking I too could have made the Ireland gigs quite easily DOH! Missed out on more Proffy Satch.

Chee - I know you won't read this for a while but - dinner and A movie... as in one of each for I guess 10/12 hours? What's this, easyjet or something? I couldn't hack that, is bad enough as it is trying to stay comfortable, them seats are never big enough

Rocking Godess - if you're still struggling with the pic link mail it to one of us and we'll sort it for ya

All you Guitarists - I think I might be going Head & Cab set up, but still not sure. My little Laney combo amp is showing it's age. So, JSX the way to go (it always seems to have killer tone) or are you guys going to recommend something else? Marshall 2266C combo? Carvin? Hints & tips please

I have a BOSS ME-5 that (given I'll probably only be using the delay/chorus/flange) I hope to shove in an effects loop.

So what are you all going to suggest?

Have a great evening everyone (especially peeps in Nottingham!) : )

howdy, just a general post to say joe is great, little bit sad though as ive got all his studio stuff, so nothing new to listen to for a while 'satch-wise'( good songtitle there mr.Satriani for a funk tune)

have to say that despite the recent 'least popular joe songs' joe satriani is about the only artist i can say i like all his albums, and i like quite a bit of music, thats why im here and thats why his cds keep spinning in the player.

guitarman......No prob that's why we're hear. Digging a little deeper you have to ask yourself if you want an actual tube amp. I don't know that many tube amps in your price range and as for Peavey you can't go wrong. They have killer practice amps in that range and if could afford $500 you could get into Joe's Mini Colossal amp which is a killer amp. If you're going for tube tone on a budget I'd still reccomend the Line 6 Pod as it models all the amps you're looking at real close. Nothing will ever beat a tube amp though so you have to decide what you're needs are but there's options for you at $300. Good Hunting.
