Slan : chainsaw perfume is not really a big deal.. just oil & gazoline.. but some flowers like that.
I'd add Brian May with Randy Rhodes at the side of evh.
Don't know what happens with guitar players & band building, but my second album won't get guitar at all. All is gonna to be lyrics & voice over dub. It's gonna to be very big holidays far from guitar world.

Zen>imo after R Blackmore, R Rhoads made the path more secure for Yngwie t walk, Brian May had no ball in the guitar hero court, wisely he spent more effort on orchestra & band composition, a very underestimated musician i feel is Mr May!

Roy : i see your filiation, yeap, that's not wrong... but I've heard Mr Brian May playing tapping before evh, & running onto classical scales before Rhoads.. that's all.
& about great creativity & virtuosity onto guitar rock, i would like to add a certain Steve Howe, from YES. His style is unique & was straight ahead his time. Petrucci is happy like a kid when he plays with him.

Zen - hey bro.. how's things... life for me right now is nuts... lol... busy busy busy..
prepping for my own band's first ever gig - Curse of the 9th..
it's... erm... a little scary... lol.. but fingers crossed that it all goes as well as can be..
and I'm touring in July / August in Italy with the DC Band - looks like we're playing a couple of festivals over there..
so I'm trying to cram two very different live sets into my head, write new music for Curse of the 9th and get my head around Logic too...
busy but fun too...

eheh, only one week left...
Welcome to Porto, the city that gave Portugal it's name :D
It's great to be able to see Joe playing here, last time when he played in a Lisbon mainstream festival there where only Metallica grunts, "uh...Kirk could do this...uhuhuh" and "why doesn't he sing" (lol).
Playing in a music hall is a great idea, that way only people who want to hear music will go. That's where musicians belong, not in (pseudo)rock festivals, that's posers/entertainers territory.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to it, I know I have my ticket :))))

i see a few people giving their review of the album...i've listened to it at least a dozen times and feel i can finally give my thoughts about it.
Joe at first i was not impressed O_o there were only about 3 tracks that i dug from 1st or 2nd listen...but for me usually it takes at least 6 or 7 listens for an album to start to sink in. i didn't care for 'Professor Satchafunkilus' at all, i thought this track ain't worthy of being on a Satch album...but now after a dozen listens the i've realized why the song is on the album, it has alot of character and now i quite enjoy it. sometimes i take my Satch songs too seriously, i've realized that this is one song that is fun! >=:oP~~~
i like this album better then 'Super Colossal' though i dig SC I haven't wanted to play it over and over again like this one.
'PSATMOR' ain't no 'Crystal Planet' which for me will always be your 'White Album' even though there's only 1 disc ;P but my ears want to hear it alot, reminds me a bit of your 'ITLIS' album a couple of of fun tracks and some that just pull at your heart. though there's no 'Searching' on this album...but then not every album can have a 10 min masterpiece!
in short - me likey 'PSATMOR' very much!! it just took awhile for my ears to wrap around it >=:)
see you in July!
Leanne
Sandy *hug* for you in your move...it must be a tough thing to do - i'm so attached to my home, i'm pretty sure i'm part Hobbit ;)
enjoy your Satch gigs! >=:o) make your new place YOUR place...so start putting some Joe drawings up :)
