I've just been messing around on my ol' gat, and managed to figure out the intro, main riff, backing and chorus (lead) to 'Revelation'. I'm terrible when it comes to theory so I instead learn and play by ear. Just wondering if anyone else is keen on cracking this song and tabbing it out on Powertabs, Guitarpro or something, as if someone with my lack of ability can figure it out by jamming, surely some ACTUAL musician can figure it out easy, haha!

Have a crack, chaps. Can't hurt to try.

Just back from a Rock Prog festival, & i've to say that it was warm & amazing. An aficionados festival with several bands.

I know it's not really a Rock Progressive forum here, but i also know that there's some Rock Prog knowlegeable people around us.

So, check the sweden band Trettioariga Kriget. Only one thing to say.. it's them, & they burnt the stage. No, there's no shred at all.

Roy ; yeap, some good times.. this festival is really cool.. all the energy is respect & pleasure to share the music.. i mean great people far from the small mentality which rots the music world... we should go to this festival one day, in the futur, you on guitar & me on bass.. in the futur. Think about it. You know i'm not a marionette theatre.

& i found a second band as bass player.. a cover band.. they play Eric Clapton, JJ Cale, & Cat Stevens... will try with them this monday.

The POD X3 is a very good piece of equipment, however, a big batch of them was kind of malfunctioning. Do not purchase it over the internet, go to a store. In the event of having to exchange the product, it will be much easier to do it this way. If you can afford it, I'd advise you to get the extended warranty on it, too.

The X3 Live has more ins and outs than the X3 Bean and also has a built in expression pedal that is very versatile. The sounds are very impressive. It still is a digital modeler though, so I like to run it through my JSX to get some cool tube action going. You can just plug it in the guitar in and play through the clean channel, or you can plug it in the loop and use the amp's pre-amp to give you the amp tones...

One of the most outstanding features is the dual tone capability, which means you can use two tones at a time. You get two tones per batch and you can run them separately to two different amps if you want!!! You can just use this the way I do it, I just have two versions of the same tone -with different effect and parameters- and switch back and forth...

Also, Line6's customer support is top notch. My POD started to act up after the 90 day exchange period... I contacted them through their site and they fixed it for me, and they also took care of the shipping... That was pretty awesome...

After 5 months of waiting, the computer editing capabilities are finally available, so that's also good... What else??? I can't think of anything right now, so if you have any questions, I'll be here...

Hope this helps...

The Pod X3L had some bugs with the first batch, but they're worked out now. The main problem was X3L users who used Vista. Line6 isn't very reliable when it comes to Vista drivers, but they, finally, released Vista drivers a month or two ago. I'd still be weary when purchasing an X3L since you don't know who has old and/or the latest batch. Be sure to try it out before buying.

You have the energy of a 15 year old but have the knowledge of a person whos played for a million years. You truly are my idol for that.
