Hi Joe, will be at the show in Brussels on Wednesday 28th. Actually, I'm flying on a business trip to Moscow tomorrow morning (25th) and return 2 hours before the start of the show, so I'll probably be speeding from the airport to the show and break a few speed rules :-) I've been a fan for quite a few years and this will be my first opportunity to catch a live show: I've moved around between a few countries, and unfortunately you've never been to the countries I was based in (or maybe I was out while you were there). For me, this show will be the realisation of a life-long dream. The common thread which kept me sane in all the moves I've made has been music, in particular yours. Hopefully I'll get backstage to meet my idol!!!

Greetings Satchafunkilites!

Do The Stu: You are probably right re the SWTA cover art. A lot of artists have been caught out after signing a contract with work for hire terms. Anyway, JB did a great job and, for what it's worth, I really appreciate the time and effort he expended creating the image. The moral of the story is probably "read the contract - and make sure you understand it - before signing away your rights!"

Igneousiceman: big Rush fan here too. Now I feel really old. To me 'Hold Your Fire' is one of their recent albums! :o)

I had a fantastic evening at the Cardiff show and will try to get a chance to post a review soon (before I forget it all!). Didn't meet Joe but then I don't really like the idea of the Meet and Greet thingy. Paying to say 'hello' just seems a bit, I dunno, odd. I realise it makes sense for Joe to do the M&Gs and I understand why so many folks take up the offer. It just goes against the grain for me. I might go to the London Music Show and see if I can bump into him there. Might take my JS1000 and see if I can get it signed. Actually, I'd rather get Joe to play a few things on it than get him to sign it (just acoustically would be fine). Now that would be a cool vid to have as a keepsake!

mag, my cardboard Joe looks like this, but it's life size all the way down to his feets. It also has a big red ad on the left side of Joe - ALL TUBE - ALL JOE. lol!

Almost 1:30 a.m. in Belfast. Wonder how long it takes by bus to get back to Dublin? I can't wait to hear from my peeps!

I've heard of Chickenfoot, or at least rumours of Chickenfoot before. It seems a lot like the short lived Planet Us, which also featured Satchy and Hagar. I know Satch was keen to get Planet Us going, but due to some complications never did.

I'm sure everyone's heard this before and will pro'lly tell me to "tell them something they don't know", haha!

Anyhoo, if you havn't, check it out le old wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planet_Us

Joe,

My name is Jeremy I am in Phoenix AZ and I am a huge fan though I am new to this site. I play a little but my real passion is audio tracking and mixing "Kudos to Eric I hear you are quite the audio Ninja". I am not only a graduate of The Conservatory of Recording arts & sciences but I also work there. In doing so I have seen lately that more and more artists Like…. Fergie, Switchfoot, and Nine Inch Nails to name a few, are making there recording sessions available as downloadable content files compatible with Logic, Protools and other DAWs so that their fans who are in to audio have the chance to mix and even play along with some of their HEROS. I was just wondering if you would consider doing that so that fans like me can have the chance to work on a SATCH RECORD!!! I think that would not only be a DREAM COME TRUE for me but for fans like me...

Ps. I really enjoyed watching the second disk on your newest record where some of the techniques for the new sounds were explained !!!

Sincerely, Jeremy Andrew Ramirez

O.K. I can't seem to find the questions I ask so I'm going to ask again, I'm not even sure if I posted it or forgot to hit post lol.

I was wondering, Joe, have you or is your music at all influenced by drugs? And are you planning on going to the Gorge at George, WA or the Spokane Arena(better for me, I'm a lot closer) in any U.S. tours? It would rock to see you live, man.

Peace

loll: Nice to come across another Rush fan here! Not enough of 'us' if you ask me...seen or heard Rush in Rio? (dvd/cd) If not I recommend it.

nickguitarmeistro: I am listening to 'Deliverance' and believe me when I say this...it is amazing. I'm not just saying that, I genuinely think we have found the next Joe =D Your playing and composition is wonderfully fresh and inspiring to me...just as Joe's was when I first heard it. Keep it up =D

Oh yes, do I see a distinctive Joe influence in your pictures?! ;-)

Hey everyone!

This is my first post even tho I have been a member for a while, thought I had better get my act together and start talkin! I had the honour of meeting Joe last nite at the Belfast meet and greet and all I can say is that he is a truely aesome guy! So down to earth and genuinely interested in what his fans had to say. I got my brand new JS1200 signed by the master and he put a little alien drawing on there for me too! The gig was fantastic, and the set list was one of the best I have ever heard, covering I think 8 tracks of the new album plus every other Satch track you could ever wish for! Brilliant! I also had the pleasure of meeting Cheese101 who came all the way from the US of A for the Dublin and Belfast shows. Such a lovely person & she is kind enough to forward some pics and videos of the show to me as my camera refused to work! All in all probably one of the best days of my life!! Thanks again to Joe for the awsome show and to Cheese for being so friendly and kind :)

Over and out.

Mark.

EYE YAM SO DEAF!!!!

LOL....but who cares, two nights of Joe and gang in concert is worth a lil hearing :) I dint get back from Belfast and into bed until after 5 am this morning so just got up! Geez...my last day in Dublin.

The shows were fantastic to say the least, I got some pretty good pictures from both and a video...I'll put stuff up once I get home on Tuesday.

Austin, thanks fer pointing that out, so it was actually all MY fault the airline lost my luggage! Mystery solved, LOL....ooooo and guess what....the video I took was of Out of The Sunrise, I missed just the first tiny bit but then got the whole rest of the song. Don't know if the sound quality is going to be good enough to put on youtube, but OMG you're going to love what Joe has started to do with that song....he's taking it some new places and it's even better than the album version!!

Chelly, I'm still here, still alive, lol....now not only am I deaf but I STILL am having a hard time figuring out what people are saying, lol!! In line yesterday at the Belfast show there was just one young man and myself for the longest time, and I was able to catch at least half of what he was saying....we stood in line alone for at least a coupla hours before we were finally joined by another guy...they trickle in very slowly here, LOL...but u know me, I get there early so was at the front of the line for both shows. I'll yak at ya later more in an email....

Mckenna....me keeping the "american tourist" image alive, just say it....we both know I'm retarded :) Thanks to you and Michelle for the pub experience, glad I didn't miss out on that, LOL....

cube, honestly, dint stay in the Bookmakers shop, no drinking and no betting, cuz with my luck, without knowing I'da bet my kid away...

So finding the Vicar St Venue here in Dublin was interesting...I can't count how many times I got lost and had to ask for help and was way off base....lemme tell you, it's hard to even find STREET SIGNS here, much less figger out which way to go. But people were very kind and helpful each time and eventually I found it. I think I walked 2 extra miles though....but got to chat with a very nice young man there in line, his name was Andrew, big Satch fan and he headbanged through the whole show, lol! Looks like he had a great time! Also met Laura from England who was being harrassed by a drunk guy so came to sit with us while she waited for her boyfriend inside who was doing the meet and greet....I told her her accent was lovely and she said she dint have one but I sure did!

Did I say friendly people? I met Patrick on my walk to Vicar St....he just came up beside me and started chatting me up as I'm walking....we kept walking, and pretty soon he asked me to stop for dinner somewhere with him. I had to 'splain to him thanks very much but noooooo, I was LATE getting to my destination. He wanted to know where I was going and what time the show was....so I tole him and said 8:00 is show time (it was just before 3 at this point) and he was like THATS CRAZY....kept after me for at least a cuppa coffee together...but I was LATE lol.....so eventually he gave up and wished me well.....only in Dublin.......

cosmic ape, when I turned 25 I went into a depression at how old I was....but not at 30, 40 or even 45 either....strange eh? You have much more life ahead of you!

Marcrainey, good yer posting on here now, don't be a stranger :) Nice to meet you too, it was a great show eh? I'll have stuff later this week to share, once I get home...got some great pictures!

Ooooo met Ned Evett last night after the show, nice man...I told him I really loved the video he did with Joe for the new album song and he was like, "OH, thanks, I forget that I did that!!" He's a really good fretless player too, and said he met Joe after he'd made him a glass neck similiar to what he plays...great opening act!

K....that's more than enough babble from me ffs....catch ya all later!

okay, babble #2...

I felt so bad for these two guys off the Belfast/Dublin bus last night...they got on in Belfast wanting to go to the airport....and rode all the way to the Dublin airport only to THEN say they had wanted to go to the Belfast International airport....omg what a mess for them, they went 2.5 hours instead of 20 minutes...the bus driver was really nice though, turns out he's from Poland and moved here to Dublin 4 years ago to have better job opportunities...after everyone got off at the airport it was just the two of us left on the bus so we chatted all the way back to the station. Very nice young man.

I slept too late and missed my last Irish breakfast dammit....only got one of those since I got here, and they put stuff out on the buffet that I had NO idea what it was....so I stuck to eggs, a grilled tomato and some bacon or something, some yogurt. But I really wanted to know what that dark brown hockey puck thingie was and planned on trying it today....ah well. Food has been minimal here, there's been no time to eat!! Or drink much, standing in line for hours before a show and then hours for the show, u don't wanna hafta pee if you can help it, LOL!!

The guys were so great for both shows, just fantastic. I love that Galen isn't hiding back in the shadows anymore, and he did a few poses for me so I could get some good photos of him :) Thanks Galen! And Stu did too, last night he did an especially nice pose right in front of me, then threw his guitar pick at me....it skimmed over my head and the lady behind me got it, then Stu asked me did I get it? Noooo, I dint, lol!!! But thanks for the effort Stu!!

LOL, at one point Jeff was drumming away but also doing the "wah-wah" part with his mouth as Joe was playing, I love Jeff!! He especially looked like he was having a good time last night! Maybe it was the anticipation of a day off today and BEER!!

Thanks for the wave Joe....and the incredible shows you keep putting on night after night. I just don't know how you all do it. I was wondering...how do you handle the monies for all the different countries you go to...omg there's so many and it's all different to keep track of...do you like...get some for every country in advance or just wing it once you get here? I mean, geeeez, even here in Ireland it's not just one currency, theres Euros AND Sterling.

Mckenna just patted me on the head a few times last night in my confusion....sigh....

The pub was great, people were so happy, LOL...drinking and dancing and singing. I really wanted to see Al drink enough to get up and dance too, but sadly they kicked us out before we got him to that point...and we walk outside to see 3 ambulances and two cop cars across the street at another bar....guess it happens all the time in Belfast. But what I saw of Belfast, it was really lovely.

So tomorrow I try to find my way home again...hafta be up at 3 as my flight leaves at 6 am and I get to go back through fecking Heathrow airport, GAH!!!

K, off to find food and do a lil walk-about and some shopping....
