BIRTH ORDER OF CHILDREN

1st baby: You begin wearing maternity clothes as soon as your OB/GYN confirms your pregnancy.

2nd baby: You wear your regular clothes for as long as possible.

3rd baby: Your maternity clothes ARE your regular clothes. _____________________________________________________

Preparing for the Birth:

1st baby: You practice your breathing religiously.

2nd baby: You don't bother because you remember that last time, breathing didn't do a thing.

3rd baby: You ask for an epidural in your eighth month. ________________________________________________

The Layette:

1st baby: You pre-wash newborn's clothes, color-coordinate them, and fold them neatly in the baby's little bureau.

2nd baby: You check to make sure that the clothes are clean and discard only the ones with the darkest stains.

3rd baby: Boys can wear pink, can't they? ____________________________________________________

Worries:

1st baby: At the first sign of distress--a whimper, a frown--you pick up the baby.

2nd baby: You pick the baby up when her wails threaten to wake your firstborn.

3rd baby: You teach your three-year-old how to rewind the mechanical swing. ______________________________________________________

Pacifier:

1st baby: If the pacifier falls on the floor, you put it away until you can go home and wash and boil it.

2nd baby: When the pacifier falls on the floor, you squirt it off with some juice from the baby's bottle.

3rd baby: You wipe it off on your shirt and pop it back in. ________________________________________________

Diapering:

1st baby: You change your baby's diapers every hour, whether they need it or not.

2nd baby: You change their diaper every two to three hours, if needed.

3rd baby: You try to change their diaper before others start to complain about the smell or you see it sagging to their knees. ____________________________________

Activities:

1st baby: You take your infant to Baby Gymnastics, Baby Swing, and Baby Story Hour.

2nd baby: You take your infant to Baby Gymnastics.

3 rd baby: You take your infant to the supermarket and the dry cleaner. ______________________________________________________

Going Out:

1st baby: The first time you leave your baby with a sitter, you call home five times.

2nd baby : Just before you walk out the door, you remember to leave a number where you can be reached.

3rd baby: You leave instructions for the sitter to call only if she sees blood. ________________________________________

At Home:

1st baby : You spend a good bit of every day just gazing at the baby.

2nd baby: You spend a bit of everyday watching to be sure your older child isn't squeezing, poking, or hitting the baby

3rd baby: You spend a little bit of every day hiding from the children. ______________________________________________________

Swallowing Coins:

1st child: When first child swallows a coin, you rush the child to the hospital and demand x-rays.

2nd child: When second child swallows a coin, you carefully watch for the coin to pass.

3rd child: When third child swallows a coin, you deduct it from his allowance!

Hi Joe and guys, was at the Glasgow show last night. Absolutley fantastic. You blew us all away again. Was great to meet you Joe for the first time. Thanks for signing the picture and the new album, something i'll never forget.

I asked John about going to the side of the stage for the encore during the pictures with everyone and he kind of gave me a 'sush' gesture. So me and Usef, a guy i met beforehand, took our seats at the show a few seats apart and at the end of Surfin all i see is John barging through the crowd tapping me on the shoulder asking me to come with him. All i see is Usef aswell. I knew exactly what was happening. So he took us to the side of the stage, and there is us standing right next to Mike and you guys come on and burst into Crowd chant. Could not believe it was happening. On the same stage as my all time hero, Joe Satriani.

I have to say Joe and you guys, thanks for making it such a special evening for us all and i hope to see you in the near future and get a JS1200 signed.

Thanks Joe and best of luck for the rest of the tour.

Chris.

A newborn's conversation with God

A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?'

God said, 'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.'

The child further inquired, 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.'

God said, 'Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy.'

Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?'

God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.'

'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?'

God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.'

'Who will protect me?'

God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.'

'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.'

God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.'

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.'

God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mom.'

I have a question for Satch, and I think he's the only guitarrist on Earth who can answer it: sometimes I'm practicing something, like an alternate picking phrase, and after a while I switch to some arpeggios and keep practicing it. Then, when I try to do some alternate picking again, my hands seem faster and more accurate than they were just a half an hour ago. Is this normal? How come such different techniques help each other? Thanks Joe

only 2 people ive met in the last 6 months had heard of Joe, there lose. i know quite a few people who only like chart pop stuff and happily disregard music which doesnt get in the top ten(like thats a seal of quality) each to there own,but simon cowell has alot to answer for if you ask me.

one of the 18 yr olds at work did nt know who the doors were, i mean is that even possible when your into music not to know who the doors were? mind you a previous employee of same age did nt know butterflies came from caterpillars, and she went to study to become a vet.

hey guys... long time no see... I'm in L.A. right now trying to figure some stuff out... I will be moving over here in a couple months to pursue a career in Arts and Music, hopefully...

Anyway, I looked up this contest in England called "Guitar Idol" and submitted a piece. I hope you guys can check it out and give me some feedback. And if you dig it, you can even vote for me :)

My entry for the contest

My YouTube channel

Too bad I didn't join until now... I only have a week left to be seen by the judges, and the amount of entries is quite large... Anyway, I've got to see a whole lot of talent around the globe, which is very inspirational to say the least...

Now that's funny!

mikesb, I love any sort of sunset, but the sun setting over the water has to be the best. I was alone on the beach Tuesday night watching the white of the breaking waves glisten with an orange hue from the setting sun behind me. I stood there for the longest time just taking it all in. I took a picture of the sun setting behind the hotels, then when I went back to our room, I took another pic of the sun from the 5th floor walkway setting over the trees and houses. Zen moments.

Hi guys Glasgow gig last night was out of this world, a brilliant mix of new songs and older stuff, yesterday i was asking if anyone was jealous that i was going to see Joe, now its me who's jealous of everyone who still has yet to go to a gig on this tour. This is the greatest guitarist ever and believe me, he's at the top of his game. P.S. i've got a ticket to see Malmsteen, anyone jealous?

Campbell, I'm certainly not jealous as I also have a ticket to see Yngwie in July.

While I'm at it, would there be anyone who could remember both Paul Gilbert's and Paul sets by any chance? I was too much in a trance to write them down and my memory's never been that great :(

Cheers folks ;)

Just been to Glasgow gig 14.5.08.I have been at many going back to The Extremist tour. However this is the first time I was disappointed with the sound. Was it the venue?the mix?the fact that there was 2 guitarists?Whatever, the lack of the usual clarity was noticed by friends I took along with me for the first time. They enjoyed the show(as did I)but the complaint was universal and I had to agree. The playing was as per normal terrific but some parts of most of the up tempo numbers lacked that"cutting through" element.

Hi Joe. I just bought your latest album today. Love it. "Professor Satchafunkilus" sounds a bit silly (in a happy way). It makes me think of some guy, taking a walk in the park, completely sealed from any dangers, cause he´s in his own world. I have no idea what you were thinking. But that´s just my enterpretation. "Come on baby" is gonna be a classic. I hope to hear it in Denmark on june 5th. "Overdriver" Practically screams TURN UP THE VOLUME. It is a great album you just made. By the way, I love that you put a DVD along with the album. Thanks.
